BNV অনেক দিন ধরেই সকলে খাওয়া-দাওয়া বন্ধ করেছিল৷ তখন পৌল তাদের মাঝে দাঁড়িয়ে বললেন, ‘মহাশয়েরা, আমার কথা শুনে ক্রীতি থেকে জাহাজ না ছাড়া আপনাদের উচিত ছিল, তাহলে আজকের এই ক্ষয়ক্ষতি এড়াতে পারতেন৷
KJV But after long abstinence Paul stood forth in the midst of them, and said, Sirs, ye should have hearkened unto me, and not have loosed from Crete, and to have gained this harm and loss.
YLT And there having been long fasting, then Paul having stood in the midst of them, said, `It behoved [you], indeed, O men -- having hearkened to me -- not to set sail from Crete, and to save this hurt and damage;
RV And when they had been long without food, then Paul stood forth in the midst of them, and said, Sirs, ye should have hearkened unto me, and not have set sail from Crete, and have gotten this injury and loss.
RSV As they had been long without food, Paul then came forward among them and said, "Men, you should have listened to me, and should not have set sail from Crete and incurred this injury and loss.
ASV And when they had been long without food, then Paul stood forth in the midst of them, and said, Sirs, ye should have hearkened unto me, and not have set sail from Crete, and have gotten this injury and loss.
ESV Since they had been without food for a long time, Paul stood up among them and said, "Men, you should have listened to me and not have set sail from Crete and incurred this injury and loss.
ERVEN The men did not eat for a long time. Then one day Paul stood up before them and said, "Men, I told you not to leave Crete. You should have listened to me. Then you would not have all this trouble and loss.
