এরপর সকলে খুব কান্নাকাটি করলেন ও পৌলের গলা জড়িয়ে ধরে তাঁকে চুমু দিলেন৷ তাঁরা তাঁকে আর দেখতে পাবেন না, একথা শুনে বিশেষ দুঃখ করলেন৷ পরে জাহাজ পর্যন্ত তাঁকে পৌঁছে দিতে গেলেন৷
