URV : اور ان ہی ایّام میں جب قاضی انصاف کیا کرتےتھے ایسا ہوا کہ اس سر زمین میں کال پڑا اور یہوادہ کے بیت لحم کا ایک مرد اپنی بیوی اور دو بیٹوںکو لیکر چلا کہ موآب کے ملک میں جا کر بسے۔
KJV : Now it came to pass in the days when the judges ruled, that there was a famine in the land. And a certain man of Bethlehemjudah went to sojourn in the country of Moab, he, and his wife, and his two sons.
YLT : And it cometh to pass, in the days of the judging of the judges, that there is a famine in the land, and there goeth a man from Beth-Lehem-Judah to sojourn in the fields of Moab, he, and his wife, and his two sons.
RV : And it came to pass in the days when the judges judged, that there was a famine in the land. And a certain man of Beth-lehem-judah went to sojourn in the country of Moab, he, and his wife, and his two sons.

ERVEN : Long ago, during the time the judges ruled, there was a famine in the land, and a man named Elimelech left the town of Bethlehem in Judah. He, his wife, and his two sons moved to the country of Moab.

URV : اس مرد کا نام الیملک اور اسکی بیوی کا نام نعومی تھا اور اسکے دونوں بیٹوں کےنام محلون اور کلیون تھے ۔ یہ یہوداہ کے بیت لحم کے افراتی تھے ۔ سو وہ موآب کے ملک میں آ کر رہنے لگے ۔
KJV : And the name of the man [was] Elimelech, and the name of his wife Naomi, and the name of his two sons Mahlon and Chilion, Ephrathites of Bethlehemjudah. And they came into the country of Moab, and continued there.

ERVEN : The man's wife was named Naomi, and his two sons were named Mahlon and Kilion. They were from the Ephrathah family of Bethlehem, Judah. The family traveled to the hill country of Moab and stayed there.

URV : اورنعومی کا شوہر الیملک مر گیا ۔ پس وہ اور اسکے دونوں بیٹے باقی رہ گئے۔
KJV : And Elimelech Naomi’s husband died; and she was left, and her two sons.

URV : ان دونوں نے ایک ایک موآبی عورت بیاہ لی ۔ ان میں سے ایک کا نام عرفہ اوردوسری کا نام روت تھا۔ اور وہ دس برس کے قریب وہاں رہے۔
KJV : And they took them wives of the women of Moab; the name of the one [was] Orpah, and the name of the other Ruth: and they dwelled there about ten years.
YLT : and they take to them wives, Moabitesses: the name of the one [is] Orpah, and the name of the second Ruth; and they dwell there about ten years.

URV : تب وہ اپنی دونوں بہووں کو لیکر اٹھی کہ موآب کے ملک سے لوٹ جائے اس لیے کہ اس نے موآب کے ملک میں یہ حال سنا کہ خداوند نے اپنے لوگوں کو روٹی دی اور یوں انکی خبر لی۔
KJV : Then she arose with her daughters in law, that she might return from the country of Moab: for she had heard in the country of Moab how that the LORD had visited his people in giving them bread.

ERVEN : While Naomi was in the country of Moab, she heard that the Lord had helped his people. He had given food to his people in Judah. So Naomi decided to leave the country of Moab and go back home. Her daughters-in-law also decided to go with her.

URV : اور نعومی نے اپنی دونوں بہووں سے کہا کہ تم دونوں اپنے اپنے اپنے میکے کو جاؤ جیسا تم نے مرحوموں کے ساتھ اور جیسا میرے ساتھ کیا ویسا ہی خداوند تمہارے ساتھ مہر سے پیش آئے۔
KJV : And Naomi said unto her two daughters in law, Go, return each to her mother’s house: the LORD deal kindly with you, as ye have dealt with the dead, and with me.
YLT : And Naomi saith to her two daughters-in-law, `Go, turn back, each to the house of her mother; Jehovah doth with you kindness as ye have done with the dead, and with me;

ERVEN : Then Naomi told her daughters-in-law, "Each of you should go back home to your mother. You have been very kind to me and my sons who are now dead. So I pray the Lord will be just as kind to you.

URV : خداوند یہ کرے کہ تم کو اپنے اپنے شوہر کے گھر میں آرام ملے ۔ تب اس نے انکو چوما اور وہ چلا چلا کر رونے لگیں۔
KJV : The LORD grant you that ye may find rest, each [of you] in the house of her husband. Then she kissed them; and they lifted up their voice, and wept.

URV : پھر ان دونوں نے اس سے کہا کہ نہیں بلکہ ہم تیرے ساتھ لوٹ کر تیرے لوگوں میں جائینگی۔
KJV : And they said unto her, Surely we will return with thee unto thy people.
YLT : And they say to her, `Surely with thee we go back to thy people.`

URV : نعومی نے کہا اے میری بیٹیو لوٹ جاؤ تم میرے ساتھ کیوں چلو؟ کیا میرے رَحِم میں اور بیٹے ہیں جو تمہارے شوہر ہوں ؟۔
KJV : And Naomi said, Turn again, my daughters: why will ye go with me? [are] there yet [any more] sons in my womb, that they may be your husbands?
YLT : And Naomi saith, `Turn back, my daughters; why do ye go with me? are there yet to me sons in my bowels that they have been to you for husbands?
RV : And Naomi said, Turn again, my daughters: why will ye go with me? have I yet sons in my womb, that they may be your husbands?

ERVEN : But Naomi said, "No, daughters, go back to your own homes. Why should you go with me? I don't have any more sons in me to be your husbands.

URV : اے میری بیٹیو لوٹ جاؤ اور اپنا راستہ لو کیونکہ میں زیادہ بڑھیا ہوں اور شوہر کرنے کے لائق نہیں ۔ اگر میں کہتی کہ مجھے اُمید ہے بلکہ اگر آج کی رات میرے پاس شوہر بھی ہوتا اور میرے لڑکے پیدا ہوتے۔
KJV : Turn again, my daughters, go [your way;] for I am too old to have an husband. If I should say, I have hope, [if] I should have an husband also to night, and should also bear sons;
YLT : Turn back, my daughters, go, for I am too aged to be to a husband; though I had said, There is for me hope, also, I have been to-night to a husband, and also I have borne sons:

URV : تو بھی کیا تم انکے بڑے ہونے تک انتظار کر تیں اورشوہر کر لینے سے باز رہیتیں ؟ نہیں میری بیٹیو میں تمہارے سبب سے زیادہ دلگیر ہوں اس لیے کہ خداوند کا ہاتھ میرے خلاف بڑھا ہوا ہے۔
KJV : Would ye tarry for them till they were grown? would ye stay for them from having husbands? nay, my daughters; for it grieveth me much for your sakes that the hand of the LORD is gone out against me.
YLT : for them do ye wait till that they grow up? for them do ye shut yourselves up, not to be to a husband? nay, my daughters, for more bitter to me than to you, for the hand of Jehovah hath gone out against me.`
RV : would ye therefore tarry till they were grown? would ye therefore stay from having husbands? nay, my daughters; for it grieveth me much for your sakes, for the hand of the LORD is gone forth against me.
RSV : would you therefore wait till they were grown? Would you therefore refrain from marrying? No, my daughters, for it is exceedingly bitter to me for your sake that the hand of the LORD has gone forth against me."

ESV : would you therefore wait till they were grown? Would you therefore refrain from marrying? No, my daughters, for it is exceedingly bitter to me for your sake that the hand of the LORD has gone out against me."
ERVEN : you would have to wait until they grew to become men before you could marry them. I cannot make you wait that long for husbands. That would make me very sad. And I am already sad enough—the Lord has done many things to me!"

URV : تب اس نے کہا کہ دیکھ تیری جٹھانی اپنے کنبے اور اپنے دیوتا کے پاس لوٹ گئی ۔ تو بھی اپنی جٹھانی کے پیچھے چلی جا۔
KJV : And she said, Behold, thy sister in law is gone back unto her people, and unto her gods: return thou after thy sister in law.
YLT : And she saith, `Lo, thy sister-in-law hath turned back unto her people, and unto her god, turn thou back after thy sister-in-law.`
RV : And she said, Behold, thy sister in law is gone back unto her people, and unto her god: return thou after thy sister in law.
RSV : And she said, "See, your sister-in-law has gone back to her people and to her gods; return after your sister-in-law."

ERVEN : Naomi said, "Look, your sister-in-law has gone back to her own people and her own gods. You should do the same."

URV : روت نے کہا تو منت نہ کر کہ میں تجھے چھوڑوں اورتیرے پیچھے سے لوٹ جاؤں کیونکہ جہاں تو جائیگی میں جاؤنگی اور جہاں تو رہیگی میں رہونگی تیرے لوگ میرے لوگ اور تیرا خدا میرا خدا۔
KJV : And Ruth said, Intreat me not to leave thee, [or] to return from following after thee: for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people [shall be] my people, and thy God my God:
YLT : And Ruth saith, `Urge me not to leave thee -- to turn back from after thee; for whither thou goest I go, and where thou lodgest I lodge; thy people [is] my people, and thy God my God.
RV : And Ruth said, Entreat me not to leave thee, and to return from following after thee: for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God:
RSV : But Ruth said, "Entreat me not to leave you or to return from following you; for where you go I will go, and where you lodge I will lodge; your people shall be my people, and your God my God;
ASV : And Ruth said, Entreat me not to leave thee, and to return from following after thee, for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge; thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God;
ESV : But Ruth said, "Do not urge me to leave you or to return from following you. For where you go I will go, and where you lodge I will lodge. Your people shall be my people, and your God my God.
ERVEN : But Ruth said, "Don't force me to leave you! Don't force me to go back to my own people. Let me go with you. Wherever you go, I will go. Wherever you sleep, I will sleep. Your people will be my people. Your God will be my God.

URV : جہاں تو مریگی میں مرونگی اور وہیں دفن بھی ہونگی خداوند مجھ سے ایسا ہی بلکہ اس سے بھی زیادہ کرے اگر موت کے سوا کوئی چیز مجھ کو تجھ سے جدا کر دے ۔
KJV : Where thou diest, will I die, and there will I be buried: the LORD do so to me, and more also, [if ought] but death part thee and me.
YLT : Where thou diest I die, and there I am buried; thus doth Jehovah to me, and thus doth He add -- for death itself doth part between me and thee.`

ERVEN : Where you die, I will die, and that is where I will be buried. I ask the Lord to punish me if I don't keep this promise: Only death will separate us."

URV : جب اس نے دیکھا کہ اس نے اسکے ساتھ چلنے کی ٹھان لی ہے تو اس سے اور کچھ نہ کہا ۔
KJV : When she saw that she was stedfastly minded to go with her, then she left speaking unto her.
YLT : And she seeth that she is strengthening herself to go with her, and she ceaseth to speak unto her;
RV : And when she saw that she was stedfastly minded to go with her, she left speaking unto her.
RSV : And when Naomi saw that she was determined to go with her, she said no more.
ASV : And when she saw that she was stedfastly minded to go with her, she left off speaking unto her.
ESV : And when Naomi saw that she was determined to go with her, she said no more.
ERVEN : Naomi saw that Ruth wanted very much to go with her. So Naomi stopped arguing with her.

URV : سو وہ دونوں چلتے چلتےبیت لحم میں آئیں۔ جب وہ بیت لحم میں آئیں تو سارے شہر میں دھوم مچی اور عورتیں کہنے لگی کی کیا یہ نعومی ہے؟ ۔
KJV : So they two went until they came to Bethlehem. And it came to pass, when they were come to Bethlehem, that all the city was moved about them, and they said, [Is] this Naomi?
YLT : and they go both of them till their coming in to Beth-Lehem; and it cometh to pass at their coming in to Beth-Lehem, that all the city is moved at them, and they say, `Is this Naomi?`
RV : So they two went until they came to Beth-lehem. And it came to pass, when they were come to Beth-lehem, that all the city was moved about them, and {cf15i the women} said, Is this Naomi?
RSV : So the two of them went on until they came to Bethlehem. And when they came to Bethlehem, the whole town was stirred because of them; and the women said, "Is this Naomi?"
ASV : So they two went until they came to Bethlehem. And it came to pass, when they were come to Bethlehem, that all the city was moved about them, and the women said, Is this Naomi?
ESV : So the two of them went on until they came to Bethlehem. And when they came to Bethlehem, the whole town was stirred because of them. And the women said, "Is this Naomi?"
ERVEN : Naomi and Ruth traveled until they came to the town of Bethlehem. When the two women entered Bethlehem, all the people were very excited. They said, "Is this Naomi?"

URV : اس نے ان سے کہا کہ مجھ کو نعومی نہیں بلکہ ماراہ کہا اس لیے کہ قادر مطلق میرے ساتھ نہایت تلخی سے پیش آیا ہے۔
KJV : And she said unto them, Call me not Naomi, call me Mara: for the Almighty hath dealt very bitterly with me.
YLT : And she saith unto them, `Call me not Naomi; call me Mara, for the Almighty hath dealt very bitterly to me,

ERVEN : But Naomi told the people, "Don't call me Naomi, call me Marah. Use this name because God All-Powerful has made my life very sad.

URV : میں بھری پوری گئی تھی اور خداوند مجھ کو خالی پھیر لایا ہے۔ پس تم کیوں مجھے نعومی کہتی ہو حالانکہ خداوند میرے خلاف مدعی ہوا اورقادر مطلق نے مجھے دکھ دیا ؟ ۔
KJV : I went out full, and the LORD hath brought me home again empty: why [then] call ye me Naomi, seeing the LORD hath testified against me, and the Almighty hath afflicted me?
YLT : I went out full, and empty hath Jehovah brought me back, why do ye call me Naomi, and Jehovah hath testified against me, and the Almighty hath done evil to me?`
RV : I went out full, and the LORD hath brought me home again empty: why call ye me Naomi, seeing the LORD hath testified against me, and the Almighty hath afflicted me?
RSV : I went away full, and the LORD has brought me back empty. Why call me Naomi, when the LORD has afflicted me and the Almighty has brought calamity upon me?"
ASV : I went out full, and Jehovah hath brought me home again empty; why call ye me Naomi, seeing Jehovah hath testified against me, and the Almighty hath afflicted me?
ESV : I went away full, and the LORD has brought me back empty. Why call me Naomi, when the LORD has testified against me and the Almighty has brought calamity upon me?"

KJV : So Naomi returned, and Ruth the Moabitess, her daughter in law, with her, which returned out of the country of Moab: and they came to Bethlehem in the beginning of barley harvest.
