માત્ર તે જ વસ્તુઓ નહિ, પરંતુ હવે તો મને લાગે છે કે ખ્રિસ્ત ઈસુ મારા પ્રભુને પામવાની મહાનતાની સરખામણીમાં કોઈ પણ વસ્તુ મહત્વની નથી. ખ્રિસ્તને કારણે મેં એ બધી વસ્તુઓનો ત્યાગ કર્યો અને હવે હું જાણું છું કે ખ્રિસ્ત આગળ તે બધી વસ્તુઓ તુચ્છ કચરા જેવી છે. આ રીતે મને ખ્રિસ્ત મળ્યો.

Yea doubtless, and I count all things [but] loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them [but] dung, that I may win Christ,
