ಯಾಜಕನು ಸಮಾಧಾನ ಯಜ್ಞಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕೊಬ್ಬನ್ನು ಪ್ರತ್ಯೇಕಿಸಿದಂತೆಯೇ ಆಡಿನ ಕೊಬ್ಬನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಪ್ರತ್ಯೇಕಿಸಿ ಅದನ್ನು ಯೆಹೋವನಿಗೆ ಸುಗಂಧವಾಸನೆಯ ಹೋಮವಾಗಿ ವೇದಿಕೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಅರ್ಪಿಸಬೇಕು. ಹೀಗೆ ಯಾಜಕನು ಆ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಶುದ್ಧಿಗೊಳಿಸುವನು. ಆಗ ದೇವರು ಆ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಕ್ಷಮಿಸುವನು.
