ಬಳಿಕ ಯಾಜಕನು ದೇವದಾರಿನ ಕಟ್ಟಿಗೆಯನ್ನು, ಹಿಸ್ಸೋಪನ್ನು, ಕೆಂಪು ಬಟ್ಟೆಯನ್ನು ಮತ್ತು ಸಜೀವವಾದ ಪಕ್ಷಿಯನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವನು. ಯಾಜಕನು ಹರಿಯುವ ನೀರಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ವಧಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ಪಕ್ಷಿಯ ರಕ್ತದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಅದ್ದುವನು. ಬಳಿಕ ಯಾಜಕನು ರಕ್ತವನ್ನು ಆ ಮನೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಏಳು ಸಲ ಚಿಮಿಕಿಸುವನು.
