ୟୂନସ ଜାହଜ ରେ ଶାଇେଥିବାର ଦେଖି ଜାହାଜର କାପ୍ତାନ କହିଲେ, "ଉଠ ଜାଗ୍ରତ ହୁଅ। ଶୋଇଛ କାହିଁକି? ତୁମ୍ଭର ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ରାର୍ଥନା କର। ତୁମ୍ଭର ପ୍ରଭୁ ହୁଏତ ତୁମ୍ଭର ପ୍ରାର୍ଥନା ଶୁଣିବେ ଓ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ରକ୍ଷା କରିବେ।"

So the shipmaster came to him, and said unto him, What meanest thou, O sleeper? arise, call upon thy God, if so be that God will think upon us, that we perish not.
