BNV একথা শুনে পীলাত তাঁকে ছেড়ে দেবার জন্য চেষ্টা করলেন, কিন্তু ইহুদীরা চিত্‌কার করল, ‘যদি তুমি ওকে ছেড়ে দাও, তাহলে তুমি কৈসরের বন্ধু নও৷ য়ে কেউ নিজেকে রাজা বলবে, বুঝতে হবে সে কৈসরের বিরোধিতা করছে৷’
KJV And from thenceforth Pilate sought to release him: but the Jews cried out, saying, If thou let this man go, thou art not Caesar’s friend: whosoever maketh himself a king speaketh against Caesar.
YLT From this [time] was Pilate seeking to release him, and the Jews were crying out, saying, `If this one thou mayest release, thou art not a friend of Caesar; every one making himself a king, doth speak against Caesar.`
RV Upon this Pilate sought to release him: but the Jews cried out, saying, If thou release this man, thou art not Caesar-s friend: every one that maketh himself a king speaketh against Caesar.
RSV Upon this Pilate sought to release him, but the Jews cried out, "If you release this man, you are not Caesar's friend; every one who makes himself a king sets himself against Caesar."

ESV From then on Pilate sought to release him, but the Jews cried out, "If you release this man, you are not Caesar's friend. Everyone who makes himself a king opposes Caesar."
ERVEN After this, Pilate tried to let Jesus go free. But the Jewish leaders shouted, "Anyone who makes himself a king is against Caesar. So if you let this man go free, that means you are not Caesar's friend."
