ਜਦ ਸਾਰੇ ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਮੋਆਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਤੇ ਅੰਮੋਨੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਤੇ ਅਰਾਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਦੇਸਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਨ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਕਿ ਬਾਬਲ ਦੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਨੇ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੁਝ ਬਕੀਆ ਛੱਡ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਾਫ਼ਾਨ ਦੇ ਪੋਤੇ ਅਹੀਕਾਮ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤ੍ਰ ਗਦਲਯਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਓਹਨਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਹਾਕਮ ਥਾਪਿਆ ਹੈ

Likewise when all the Jews that [were] in Moab, and among the Ammonites, and in Edom, and that [were] in all the countries, heard that the king of Babylon had left a remnant of Judah, and that he had set over them Gedaliah the son of Ahikam the son of Shaphan;

And also all the Jews who [are] in Moab, and among the sons of Ammon, and in Edom, and who [are] in all the lands, have heard that the king of Babylon hath given a remnant to Judah, and that he hath appointed over them Gedaliah son of Ahikam, son of Shaphan,

All the people of Judah who were in the countries of Moab, Ammon, Edom, and all the other countries heard that the king of Babylon had left some people of Judah in the land. And they heard that the king of Babylon had chosen Gedaliah son of Ahikam, son of Shaphan, to be governor over them.
