અને હે યહોવા, ક્યાં સુધી ભૂમિ શોક કરશે? તેઓનાં દુષ્ટ કાર્યોને કારણે ક્યાં સુધી ખેતરમાંનું લીલું ઘાસ પણ સૂકાતું રહેશે અને આક્રંદ કરતું રહેશે! વનચર પશુ-પક્ષીઓ પણ ચાલ્યા ગયા છે. દેશ ઉજ્જડ થઇ ગયો છે તેમ છતાં લોકો કહે છે, “આપણે શું કરીએ છે તે દેવ જોઇ શકતો નથી!”

How long shall the land mourn, and the herbs of every field wither, for the wickedness of them that dwell therein? the beasts are consumed, and the birds; because they said, He shall not see our last end.
