PAV ਤਾਂ ਅਜ਼ਰਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਭਵਨ ਦੇ ਅੱਗਿਓਂ ਉੱਠਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਅਲਯਾਸੀਬ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤ੍ਰ ਯੋਹਾਨਾਨ ਦੀ ਕੋਠੜੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉੱਥੇ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਨਾ ਰੋਟੀ ਖਾਧੀ ਨਾ ਪਾਣੀ ਪੀਤਾ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਅਸੀਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਬੇਈਮਾਨੀ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਰੋਂਦਾ ਰਿਹਾ
KJV Then Ezra rose up from before the house of God, and went into the chamber of Johanan the son of Eliashib: and [when] he came thither, he did eat no bread, nor drink water: for he mourned because of the transgression of them that had been carried away.
YLT And Ezra riseth from before the house of God, and goeth unto the chamber of Jehohanan son of Eliashib; yea, he goeth there, bread he hath not eaten, and water he hath not drunk, for he is mourning because of the trespass of the removal.
RV Then Ezra rose up from before the house of God, and went into the chamber of Jehohanan the son of Eliashib: and {cf15i when} he came thither, he did eat no bread, nor drink water: for he mourned because of the trespass of them of the captivity.
RSV Then Ezra withdrew from before the house of God, and went to the chamber of Jehohanan the son of Eliashib, where he spent the night, neither eating bread nor drinking water; for he was mourning over the faithlessness of the exiles.

ERVEN Then Ezra went away from the front of God's house. He went to the room of Jehohanan son of Eliashib. While Ezra was there, he didn't eat food or drink water. He did that because he was still very sad. He was very sad about the Israelites who came back to Jerusalem.
