ଏବଂ ମୁଁ ଯେତବେେଳେ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଅନାଇଲି, ସେତବେେଳେ ଦେଖିଲି ତୁମ୍ଭେ ପ୍ ରମେ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ରାଜି ହାଇୟୋଇଥିଲ। ତେଣୁ ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭ ଶରୀର ଉପ ରେ ମାରେ ବସ୍ତ୍ର ଆବୃତ କଲି। ମୁଁ ଶପଥ କରି ତୁମ୍ଭ ସଙ୍ଗେ ନିଯମ ସ୍ଥିର କଲି ଏବଂ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମାରେ ହେଲ।"' ଏହା ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ମାରେ ପ୍ରଭୁ କହନ୍ତି

Now when I passed by thee, and looked upon thee, behold, thy time [was] the time of love; and I spread my skirt over thee, and covered thy nakedness: yea, I sware unto thee, and entered into a covenant with thee, saith the Lord GOD, and thou becamest mine.
