এই সমস্ত চিঠিতে, রাজা অহশ্বেরশের নির্দেশ বলা হল:প্রতিটি শহরে ইহুদীদের সমবেত ভাবে তাদের নিজেদের রক্ষা করার অধিকার দেওয়া হল| তাদের বা তাদের নারী ও শিশুদের যদি কোন দল আক্রমণ করে তাহলে তারা সেই শএুদের দলকে হত্যা ও ধ্বংস করতে পারবে এবং ইহুদীদের তাদের শএুদের সম্পদ লুঠ করার অধিকারও দেওয়া হল|

Wherein the king granted the Jews which [were] in every city to gather themselves together, and to stand for their life, to destroy, to slay, and to cause to perish, all the power of the people and province that would assault them, [both] little ones and women, and [to take] the spoil of them for a prey,
