କାରଣ ମୁଁ ଓ ମାହେର ଲୋକମାନେ ସଂହାରିତ, ହତ ଓ ବିନଷ୍ଟ ହବୋ ନିମନ୍ତେ ବୀକ୍ରି ହାଇେଅଛୁ। ଯଦି ଆମ୍ଭେ ମାତ୍ର କ୍ରିତଦାସ ରୂପେ ବିକ୍ରୀ ହାଇେଥାଆନ୍ତୁ ମୁଁ ନୀରବ ହାଇେ ରହିଥାନ୍ତି। ଯଦି ଏହା ରାଜାଙ୍କୁ ବିବ୍ରତ କଲାପରି ଆମ୍ଭର ଅସୁବିଧା ହାଇନେଥାନ୍ତା।"

For we are sold, I and my people, to be destroyed, to be slain, and to perish. But if we had been sold for bondmen and bondwomen, I had held my tongue, although the enemy could not countervail the king’s damage.
