ಆ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಾರಸವನ್ನು ರುಚಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವಾಗ ಬೆಲ್ಯಚ್ಚರನು ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯಾದ ನೆಬೂಕದ್ನೆಚ್ಚರನು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನ ದೇವಾಲಯ ದೊಳಗಿಂದ ತಂದ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಬಂಗಾರಗಳ ಪಾತ್ರೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅರಸನೂ ಅವನ ಪ್ರಭುಗಳೂ ಅವನ ಪತ್ನಿ ಮತ್ತು ಉಪಪತ್ನಿಯರು ಅವುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕುಡಿಯುವ ಹಾಗೆ ತರಲು ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದನು.

Belshazzar, whiles he tasted the wine, commanded to bring the golden and silver vessels which his father Nebuchadnezzar had taken out of the temple which [was] in Jerusalem; that the king, and his princes, his wives, and his concubines, might drink therein.
