ମୁଁ ନଗରର ଚ଼ାରିପାଖ ରେ ଭ୍ରମଣ କରି, ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ପୂଜା କରୁଥିବା ବସ୍ତୁମାନ ଦେଖିଲି। ମୁଁ ଗୋଟିଏ ବଦେୀ ଦେଖିଲି ଯାହା ଉପରେ ଲଖାେଥିଲା, 'ଏକ ଈଶ୍ବର ଯାହାଙ୍କୁ ଆମ୍ଭେ ଜାଣିନାହୁଁ।' ତେଣୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ନ ଜାଣି ଯାହା ପୂଜା କରୁଛ, ମୁଁ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ଆଗ ରେ ପ୍ରଚ଼ାର କରୁଛି।

For as I passed by, and beheld your devotions, I found an altar with this inscription, TO THE UNKNOWN GOD. Whom therefore ye ignorantly worship, him declare I unto you.
