সেই জন্য আমি তোমাকে মনে করিয়ে দিচ্ছি য়ে, তোমার মধ্যে ঈশ্বরের দেওয়া বিশেষ দান রয়েছে৷ আমি যখন তোমার ওপর হস্তার্পন করেছিলাম তখন সেই দান ঈশ্বর তোমাকে দিয়েছিলেন৷ এখন আমি চাই য়ে সেই দান তুমি কাজে লাগাও এবং তাকে দিন দিন আরো বাড়তে দাও; য়েমন করে সামান্য অগ্নি শিখা এক প্রলয় অগ্নি সৃষ্টি করে৷

Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands.

For which cause I remind thee to stir up the gift of God that is in thee through the putting on of my hands,
