યહોવાએ જાહેર કર્યુ કે, “હું યહૂદીઓને પણ ઇસ્રાએલીઓની જેમ મારા સાન્નિધ્યથી દૂર હડસેલી મુકીશ. મેં પસંદ કરેલા આ નગર યરૂશાલેમને તેમજ યહોવાના જે મંદિરને વિષે મેં એમ કહ્યું હતું કે, “ત્યાં મારું નામ કાયમ રહેશે.” તેને પણ હું દૂર કરીશ.”
