এলিয় ইলীশায়কে বললেন, “তুমি এখানেই থাকো, কারণ প্রভু আমাকে বৈথেল পর্য়ন্ত য়েতে বলেছেন|”কিন্তু ইলীশায় বললেন, “আমি জীবন্ত প্রভুর নামে ও আপনার নামে শপথ করে বলছি য়ে আমি আপনাকে একলা ছেড়ে যাবো না|” সুতরাং তাঁরা দুজনেই তখন বৈথেলে গেলেন|

And Elijah said unto Elisha, Tarry here, I pray thee; for the LORD hath sent me to Bethel. And Elisha said [unto him, As] the LORD liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee. So they went down to Bethel.
