ಆತನು ತನ್ನ ಬಾಯಿಂದ--ನನ್ನ ಜನ ರಾದ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲನ್ನು ಐಗುಪ್ತದೇಶದಿಂದ ಬರ ಮಾಡಿದ ದಿನ ಮೊದಲುಗೊಂಡು ನನ್ನ ಹೆಸರು ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ಇರುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಆಲಯವನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲನ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಗೋತ್ರಗಳೊಳಗಿಂದ ಯಾವ ಪಟ್ಟಣವನ್ನೂ ಆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಲಿಲ್ಲ; ನನ್ನ ಜನರಾದ ಇಸ್ರಾ ಯೇಲಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ಆಳುವವನಾಗಿರಲು ನಾನು ಒಬ್ಬನ ನ್ನಾದರೂ ಆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಲಿಲ್ಲ.

Since the day that I brought forth my people out of the land of Egypt I chose no city among all the tribes of Israel to build an house in, that my name might be there; neither chose I any man to be a ruler over my people Israel:
