বেরিখিয, য়িহিষ্কিয় এবং অমাসা নেতৃগণ ইস্রায়েলীয়রা যে সমস্ত পোশাকআশাক এনেছিল তা থেকে উলঙ্গ বন্দীদের পরবার জন্য পোশাক দিলেন ও তাদের পরিচর্য়া করতে লাগলেন| বন্দীদের সবাইকে খাবার ও পানীয় দেওয়া হল এবং তাদের মধ্যে যারা আহত হয়েছিল তাদের ক্ষতস্থানে তেল লাগিয়ে দেওয়া হল| তারপর নেতারা সমস্ত বন্দীদের, যারা খুব দুর্বল ছিল তাদের গাধার পিঠে তুলে দিলেন এবং তাদের বাড়ির কাছে ‘তালগাছের দেশ’ য়িরীহোতে তাদের নিয়ে গেলেন এবং শমরিয়াতে ফিরে এলেন|

And the men which were expressed by name rose up, and took the captives, and with the spoil clothed all that were naked among them, and arrayed them, and shod them, and gave them to eat and to drink, and anointed them, and carried all the feeble of them upon asses, and brought them to Jericho, the city of palm trees, to their brethren: then they returned to Samaria.

and the men who have been expressed by name rise and take hold on the captives, and all their naked ones they have clothed from the spoil, yea, they clothe them, and shoe them, and cause them to eat and drink, and anoint them, and lead them on asses, even every feeble one, and bring them in to Jericho, the city of palms, near their brethren, and turn back to Samaria.

The leaders (Azariah, Berekiah, Jehizkiah, and Amasa) stood up and helped the prisoners. These four men got the clothes that the Israelite army took and gave them to the people who were naked. The leaders also gave them sandals. They gave the prisoners from Judah something to eat and drink. They rubbed oil on them to soften and heal their wounds. Then the leaders from Ephraim put the weak prisoners on donkeys and took them back home to their families in Jericho, the city of palm trees. Then the four leaders went back home to Samaria.
