ஆனால் மறுநாள் காலையில், மீண்டும் தாகோனின் சிலை முகம்குப்புற விழுந்து கிடப்பதைக் கண்டனர்! கர்த்தருடைய பரிசுத்த பெட்டிக்கு முன்னால் தாகோன் சிலை விழுந்துகிடந்தது. இந்தமுறை தாகோனின் தலையும், கைகளும் உடைந்து கோவில் வாசற்படியிலேகிடந்தன. தாகோனின் உடல் மாத்திரம் அப்படியே கிடந்தது.

కాని మరునాటి ఉదయం అష్డోదు ప్రజలు వచ్చి చూడగా దాగోను విగ్రహం మళ్లీ పడిపోయివుంది. దాగోను దేవుని పవిత్ర పెట్టెముందు పడిపోయివున్నాడు. ఈసారి దాగోను తల, చేతులు విరిగిపోయ ఆలయ గుమ్మం మీద పడి ఉన్నాయి. దాగోను మొండెం మాత్రం ఒక్క ముక్కగా మిగిలింది.

ಆಗ ಅವರು ದಾಗೋನನನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದು ಅದನ್ನು ಅದರ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ತಿರಿಗಿ ಇಟ್ಟರು. ಅವರು ಮಾರನೆ ದಿವಸ ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ ಬಂದಾಗ ಇಗೋ, ದಾಗೋನ್ ಕರ್ತನ ಮಂಜೂಷದ ಮುಂದೆ ಬೋರಲು ಬಿದ್ದಿತ್ತು; ದಾಗೋನನ ತಲೆಯೂ ಅದರ ಎರಡು ಕೈಗಳೂ ಹೊಸ್ತಿಲ ಮೇಲೆ ಕಡಿಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟು ಬಿದ್ದಿದ್ದವು; ಮುಂಡ ಮಾತ್ರ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಉಳಿದಿತ್ತು.

ಆದರೆ ಮರುದಿನ ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ ಅಷ್ಡೋದಿನ ಜನರು ಎದ್ದಾಗ ದಾಗೋನ್ ವಿಗ್ರಹವು ನೆಲದ ಮೇಲೆ ಯೆಹೋವನ ಪವಿತ್ರ ಪೆಟ್ಟಿಗೆಯ ಮುಂದೆ ಬೋರಲಬಿದ್ದಿತ್ತು. ದಾಗೋನಿನ ತಲೆಯು ಮತ್ತು ಕೈಗಳು ಮುರಿದು ಹೊಸ್ತಿಲಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಿದ್ದಿದ್ದವು; ದೇಹವು ಏಕಶಿಲೆಯಾಗಿ ಬಿದ್ದಿತ್ತು.

ਅਗਲੇ ਭਲਕ ਓਹ ਫੇਰ ਮੁਨ੍ਹੇਰੇ ਹੀ ਉੱਠੇ ਜਾਂ ਵੇਖੋ, ਦਾਗੋਨ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਸੰਦੂਕ ਅੱਗੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਪਰਨੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਡਿੱਗਾ ਪਿਆ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਦਾਗੋਨ ਦਾ ਸਿਰ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਦੋਹਾਂ ਹੱਥਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਤਲੀਆਂ ਸਰਦਲ ਉੱਤੇ ਵੱਢੀਆਂ ਪਈਆਂ ਸਨ! ਨਿਰਾ ਪੁਰਾ ਉਹ ਦਾ ਧੜ ਰਹਿ ਗਿਆ!

ତା'ପରେ ପକ୍ସ୍ଟଣି ସମାନେେ ପରଦିନ ପ୍ରଭାତ ରେ ଯେତବେେଳେ ଉଠିଲେ ଦାଗୋନ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ପବିତ୍ର ସିନ୍ଦକ୍ସ୍ଟକ ସମ୍ମକ୍ସ୍ଟଖ ରେ ମକ୍ସ୍ଟହଁ ମାଡି ଭୂମିରେ ପଡିଥିଲା ଏବଂ ବାହକ୍ସ୍ଟଗକ୍ସ୍ଟଡିକ ଓ ମକ୍ସ୍ଟଣ୍ତ କଟା ହାଇେଥିଲା ଏବଂ ଦ୍ବାରବନ୍ଧ ଉପରେ ପଡିଥିଲା। କିନ୍ତୁ ତାହାର ଗଣ୍ତି ଗୋଟିଏ ଖଣ୍ତ ହାଇେ ରହିଥିଲା।

पण दुसऱ्या दिवशी पुन्हा त्यांनी ती जमिनीवर पडलेली आढळली अश्दोदच्या लोकांनी ती मूर्ती उचलून पर्ववत ठेवली.यावेळी परमेश्वराच्या पवित्र करारकोशा जवळ पडताना दागोनचे शिर आणि हात तुटून उंबरठ्यावर पडले होते. धड तेवढे शाबूत होते.
