BNV দায়ূদ বললেন, “আমরা প্রভুর জন্য সুবিশাল একটা মন্দির বানাতে চলেছি| কিন্তু আমার পুত্র শলোমনের বয়স এখনও কম| এসম্পর্কে উপযুক্ত জ্ঞান তার হয়নি| প্রভুর এই সুবিশাল মন্দিরের খ্যাতি তার সৌন্দর্য়্য়ের কারণে পৃথিবীর দেশে দেশে যাতে ছড়িয়ে পড়ে সে কারণে আমি সেই মন্দিরের নকশা ও পরিকল্পনা করে যাচ্ছি|” কথা মতো তাঁর মৃত্যুর আগেই দায়ূদ মন্দিরের জন্য অনেক পরিকল্পনা ও নকশা করে গিয়েছিলেন|
KJV And David said, Solomon my son [is] young and tender, and the house [that is] to be builded for the LORD [must be] exceeding magnifical, of fame and of glory throughout all countries: I will [therefore] now make preparation for it. So David prepared abundantly before his death.
YLT And David saith, `Solomon my son [is] a youth and tender, and the house to be built to Jehovah [is] to be made exceedingly great, for name and for beauty to all the lands; let me prepare, I pray Thee, for it;` and David prepareth in abundance before his death.
RV And David said, Solomon my son is young and tender, and the house that is to be builded for the LORD must be exceeding magnifical, of fame and of glory throughout all countries: I will therefore make preparation for it. So David prepared abundantly before his death.
RSV For David said, "Solomon my son is young and inexperienced, and the house that is to be built for the LORD must be exceedingly magnificent, of fame and glory throughout all lands; I will therefore make preparation for it." So David provided materials in great quantity before his death.

ERVEN David said, "We should build a very great Temple for the Lord, but my son Solomon is young and he hasn't learned what he needs to know. The Lord's Temple should be very great. It should be famous in all the nations because of its greatness and beauty. That is why I will make plans for building the Lord's Temple." So David made many plans for building the Temple before he died.
