ಆದರೆ ಅರಾಮ್ಯರು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಎದುರಿನಿಂದ ಓಡಿಹೋದರು. ದಾವೀದನು ಅರಾಮ್ಯರಲ್ಲಿ ಏಳು ಸಾವಿರ ರಥವುಳ್ಳವರನ್ನೂ ನಾಲ್ವತ್ತು ಸಾವಿರ ಕಾಲಾಳು ಗಳನ್ನೂ ಸೈನ್ಯಾಧಿಪತಿಯಾದ ಶೋಫಕನನ್ನೂ ಕೊಂದು ಹಾಕಿದನು.
