BNV ইস্রায়েলের সমস্ত নেতারাও হিব্রোণে দায়ূদের সঙ্গে দেখা করতে এলে, তিনি প্রভুর সাক্ষাতে তাঁদের সকলের সঙ্গে সেখানে চুক্তিবদ্ধ হলেন এবং নেতারা সকলে তাঁর গায়ে সুগন্ধী তেল ছিটিয়ে তাঁকে ইস্রায়েলের নতুন রাজা হিসেবে অভিষেক করলেন| শমূযেলের মাধ্যমে প্রভু আগেই একথা ভবিষ্যত্ ‌বাণী করেছিলেন|
KJV Therefore came all the elders of Israel to the king to Hebron; and David made a covenant with them in Hebron before the LORD; and they anointed David king over Israel, according to the word of the LORD by Samuel.
YLT And all the elders of Israel come in unto the king to Hebron, and David maketh with them a covenant in Hebron before Jehovah, and they anoint David for king over Israel, according to the word of Jehovah by the hand of Samuel.

ERVEN All the leaders of Israel came to King David at the town of Hebron. David made an agreement with them in Hebron before the Lord. The leaders anointed David. That made him king over Israel. The Lord promised this would happen. The Lord had used Samuel to make that promise.
