BNV : যদি মনে কর য়ে তুমি ঐ লোকদের বিচার করতে পার, তাহলে ভুল করছ, কারণ তুমিও দোষী৷ তুমি অপরের বিচার কর; কিন্তু তুমিও সেই একইরকম মন্দ কাজ কর৷ কাজেই তুমি যখন অন্যের বিচার কর তখন নিজেকেই দোষী সাব্যস্ত কর৷
KJV : Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things.
YLT : Therefore, thou art inexcusable, O man -- every one who is judging -- for in that in which thou dost judge the other, thyself thou dost condemn, for the same things thou dost practise who art judging,
RV : Wherefore thou art without excuse, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest dost practise the same things.
RSV : Therefore you have no excuse, O man, whoever you are, when you judge another; for in passing judgment upon him you condemn yourself, because you, the judge, are doing the very same things.

ESV : Therefore you have no excuse, O man, every one of you who judges. For in passing judgment on another you condemn yourself, because you, the judge, practice the very same things.
ERVEN : So do you think that you can judge those other people? You are wrong. You too are guilty of sin. You judge them, but you do the same things they do. So when you judge them, you are really condemning yourself.

BNV : যাঁরা মন্দ কাজ করে ঈশ্বর তাদের বিচার করেন; আর তাঁর বিচার ন্যায়সম্মত৷
KJV : But we are sure that the judgment of God is according to truth against them which commit such things.
YLT : and we have known that the judgment of God is according to truth, upon those practising such things.
RV : And we know that the judgment of God is according to truth against them that practise such things.
RSV : We know that the judgment of God rightly falls upon those who do such things.

BNV : তুমি তাদের বিচার করে থাক; কিন্তু তুমি নিজেও তাদের মত সেই সব মন্দ কাজ কর৷ তাই এ কথা তুমি নিশ্চয়ই বুঝতে পারছ য়ে ঈশ্বর তোমার বিচার করবেন৷ তুমি তার বিচার এড়াতে পারবে না৷
KJV : And thinkest thou this, O man, that judgest them which do such things, and doest the same, that thou shalt escape the judgment of God?
YLT : And dost thou think this, O man, who art judging those who such things are practising, and art doing them, that thou shalt escape the judgment of God?
RV : And reckonest thou this, O man, who judgest them that practise such things, and doest the same, that thou shalt escape the judgment of God?
RSV : Do you suppose, O man, that when you judge those who do such things and yet do them yourself, you will escape the judgment of God?

ERVEN : And since you do the same things as those people you judge, surely you understand that God will punish you too. How could you think you would be able to escape his judgment?

BNV : ঈশ্বর তোমার প্রতি দয়া করেছেন ও সহিষ্ণু হয়েছেন৷ ঈশ্বর অপেক্ষা করছেন য়েন তোমার পরিবর্তন হয়; কিন্তু তুমি তাঁর দয়াকে তুচ্ছ জ্ঞান করছ৷ তুমি হয়তো বুঝতে পারছ না য়ে তোমাদের প্রতি ঈশ্বরের এত দয়ার উদ্দেশ্য হল যাতে তোমরা পাপ থেকে মন-ফিরাও৷
KJV : Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?
YLT : or the riches of His goodness, and forbearance, and long-suffering, dost thou despise? -- not knowing that the goodness of God doth lead thee to reformation!

RSV : Or do you presume upon the riches of his kindness and forbearance and patience? Do you not know that God's kindness is meant to lead you to repentance?

ERVEN : God has been kind to you. He has been very patient, waiting for you to change. But you think nothing of his kindness. Maybe you don't understand that God is kind to you so that you will decide to change your lives.

BNV : কিন্তু তুমি কঠিনমনা লোক ও অবাধ্য৷ তুমি পরিবর্তিত হতে চাও না, তাই তুমিই তোমার দণ্ডকে ঘোরতর করে তুলছ৷ ঈশ্বরের ক্রোধ প্রকাশের দিনে তুমি সেই দণ্ড পাবে, য়ে দিন লোকে ঈশ্বরের ন্যায়বিচার দেখতে পাবে৷
KJV : But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God;
YLT : but, according to thy hardness and impenitent heart, thou dost treasure up to thyself wrath, in a day of wrath and of the revelation of the righteous judgment of God,

ERVEN : But you are so stubborn! You refuse to change. So you are making your own punishment greater and greater. You will be punished on the day when God will show his anger. On that day everyone will see how right God is to judge people.

BNV : ঈশ্বর প্রত্যেক মানুষকে তার কার্য় অনুসারে ফল দেবেন৷
KJV : Who will render to every man according to his deeds:
YLT : who shall render to each according to his works;
RV : who will render to every man according to his works:
RSV : For he will render to every man according to his works:
ASV : who will render to every man according to his works:
ESV : He will render to each one according to his works:
ERVEN : He will reward or punish everyone for what they have done.

BNV : যাঁরা অবিরাম তাদের সত্‌ক্রিয়া দ্বারা মহিমা, সম্মান এবং অমরত্বের অন্বেষণ করে, ঈশ্বর তাদের অনন্ত জীবনের অধিকারী করবেন৷
KJV : To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life:
YLT : to those, indeed, who in continuance of a good work, do seek glory, and honour, and incorruptibility -- life age-during;
RV : to them that by patience in well-doing seek for glory and honour and incorruption, eternal life:
RSV : to those who by patience in well-doing seek for glory and honor and immortality, he will give eternal life;

ERVEN : Some people live for God's glory, for honor, and for life that cannot be destroyed. They live for those things by always continuing to do good. God will give eternal life to them.

BNV : কিন্তু যাঁরা স্বার্থপর, সত্যের অবজ্ঞাকারী এবং মন্দ পথেই চলে, ঈশ্বর তাদের উপর তাঁর ক্রোধ ও শান্তি ঢেলে দেবেন৷
KJV : But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath,
YLT : and to those contentious, and disobedient, indeed, to the truth, and obeying the unrighteousness -- indignation and wrath,
RV : but unto them that are factious, and obey not the truth, but obey unrighteousness, {cf15i shall be} wrath and indignation,

ERVEN : But others are selfish and refuse to follow truth. They follow evil. God will show his anger and punish them.

BNV : যাঁরা মন্দ কাজ করে তাদের প্রত্যেকের জীবনে ঈশ্বরের কাছ থেকে ক্লেশ ও পীড়া আসবে৷ প্রথমে ইহুদীদের ও পরে অইহুদীদের উপরে৷
KJV : Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile;
YLT : tribulation and distress, upon every soul of man that is working the evil, both of Jew first, and of Greek;

BNV : কিন্তু যাঁরা সত্‌কাজ করে তাদের তিনি মহিমা, সম্মান ও শান্তি দেবেন, প্রথমে ইহুদীদের ও পরে অইহুদীদের৷
KJV : But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile:

BNV : ঈশ্বর সকল মানুষকে একইভাবে বিচার করেন৷
KJV : For there is no respect of persons with God.
YLT : For there is no acceptance of faces with God,
RV : for there is no respect of persons with God.
RSV : For God shows no partiality.
ASV : for there is no respect of persons with God.
ESV : For God shows no partiality.
ERVEN : God judges everyone the same. It doesn't matter who they are.

BNV : যাঁরা বিধি-ব্যবস্থা জানে আর যাঁরা তা কখনই শোনে নি, পাপ করলে তারা সকলে একই পর্য়ায়ে পড়ে৷ বিধি-ব্যবস্থা না জেনে যত লোক পাপ করেছে, তারা সকলেই বিধি-ব্যবস্থা ছাড়াই বিনষ্ট হবে৷ একইভাবে যাদের কাছে বিধি-ব্যবস্থা আছে তবু পাপ করে, তাদের বিধি-ব্যবস্থা দ্বারাই বিচার হবে৷
KJV : For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law;
YLT : for as many as without law did sin, without law also shall perish, and as many as did sin in law, through law shall be judged,

ERVEN : People who have the law and those who have never heard of the law are all the same when they sin. People who don't have the law and are sinners will be lost. And, in the same way, those who have the law and are sinners will be judged by the law.

BNV : বিধি-ব্যবস্থার কথা শোনার দ্বারা ঈশ্বরের সামনে ধার্মিক প্রতিপন্ন হওয়া যায় না বরং বিধি-ব্যবস্থা যা বলে তা সর্বদা পালন করলেই ঈশ্বরের সামনে ধার্মিক হওয়া যায়৷
KJV : (For not the hearers of the law [are] just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.
YLT : for not the hearers of the law [are] righteous before God, but the doers of the law shall be declared righteous: --
RV : for not the hearers of a law are just before God, but the doers of a law shall be justified:
RSV : For it is not the hearers of the law who are righteous before God, but the doers of the law who will be justified.

ERVEN : Hearing the law does not make people right with God. They will be right before him only if they always do what the law says.

BNV : অইহুদীরা কোন বিধি-ব্যবস্থা পায় নি, অথচ তারা যখন স্বভাবতঃ বিধি-ব্যবস্থা অনুযাযী কাজ করে তখন তারা নিজেরাই নিজেদের বিধি-ব্যবস্থা৷ যদিও তাদের অধিকারে কোন বিধি-ব্যবস্থা নেই তবুও এটাই সত্য৷
KJV : For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves:
YLT : For, when nations that have not a law, by nature may do the things of the law, these not having a law -- to themselves are a law;
RV : for when Gentiles which have no law do by nature the things of the law, these, having no law, are a law unto themselves;

ERVEN : Those who are not Jews don't have the law. But when they naturally do what the law commands without even knowing the law, then they are their own law. This is true even though they don't have the written law.

BNV : তারা দেখায় য়ে, বিধি-ব্যবস্থার নির্দেশ কোনটা ভাল কোনটা মন্দ, তা তারা তাদের হৃদয় দিয়েই জানে৷ তাদের বিবেকও এ ব্যাপারে সাক্ষ্য দেয়৷ অনেক সময় তাদের চিন্তাধারাই ব্যক্ত করে য়ে তারা অন্যায় কাজ করছে আর তাতে তারা দোষী হয়৷ কোন কোন সময় তাদের চিন্তাধারা ব্যক্ত করে য়ে তারা ঠিকই করছে, আর তাই তারা দোষী হয় না৷
KJV : Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and [their] thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another;)
YLT : who do shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also witnessing with them, and between one another the thoughts accusing or else defending,

BNV : এসব তখনই ঘটবে যখন ঈশ্বর, যীশু খ্রীষ্টের মাধ্যমে মানুষের সকল গুপ্ত বিষয়ের বিচার করবেন৷ য়ে সুসমাচার আমি লোকদের কাছে প্রচার করি তা এই কথাই বলছে৷
KJV : In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel.
YLT : in the day when God shall judge the secrets of men, according to my good news, through Jesus Christ.

BNV : তোমার অবস্থা কেমন? তুমি নিজেকে ইহুদী বলে পরিচয় দাও এবং বিধি-ব্যবস্থার উপর নির্ভর কর ও গর্ব কর য়ে তুমি ঈশ্বরের কাছাকাছি রয়েছ৷
KJV : Behold, thou art called a Jew, and restest in the law, and makest thy boast of God,
YLT : Lo, thou art named a Jew, and dost rest upon the law, and dost boast in God,
RV : But if thou bearest the name of a Jew, and restest upon the law, and gloriest in God,
RSV : But if you call yourself a Jew and rely upon the law and boast of your relation to God

ERVEN : What about you? You say you are a Jew. You trust in the law and proudly claim to be close to God.

BNV : তুমি জান য়ে ঈশ্বর তোমার কাছ থেকে কোন্ কাজ আশা করেন; আর কোন্টা গুরুত্বপূর্ণ তাও তুমি জান, কারণ তুমি বিধি-ব্যবস্থা শিক্ষা করেছ৷
KJV : And knowest [his] will, and approvest the things that are more excellent, being instructed out of the law;
YLT : and dost know the will, and dost approve the distinctions, being instructed out of the law,
RV : and knowest his will, and approvest the things that are excellent, being instructed out of the law,

BNV : যাঁরা ঠিক পথ চেনে না তুমি মনে কর এমন লোকদের তুমি একজন পথ প্রদর্শক৷ তুমি মনে কর যাঁরা অন্ধকারে আছে তুমি তাদের কাছে জ্যোতিস্বরূপ৷
KJV : And art confident that thou thyself art a guide of the blind, a light of them which are in darkness,
YLT : and hast confidence that thou thyself art a leader of blind ones, a light of those in darkness,
RV : and art confident that thou thyself art a guide of the blind, a light of them that are in darkness,
RSV : and if you are sure that you are a guide to the blind, a light to those who are in darkness,

BNV : তুমি মনে কর য়ে, যাদের মৌলিক শিক্ষার প্রযোজন তুমি তাদের শিক্ষক হতে পার৷ তোমার কাছে বিধি-ব্যবস্থা আছে তাই তুমি মনে কর য়ে তুমি সবই জান ও সব সত্য তোমার কাছেই রয়েছে৷
KJV : An instructor of the foolish, a teacher of babes, which hast the form of knowledge and of the truth in the law.
YLT : an instructor of foolish ones, a teacher of babes, having the form of the knowledge and of the truth in the law.
RV : a corrector of the foolish, a teacher of babes, having in the law the form of knowledge and of the truth;

BNV : তুমি অপরকে শিক্ষা দিয়ে থাক; কিন্তু তুমি কি নিজেকেও শিক্ষা দাও? চুরি করো না বলে তুমি অপরকে শিক্ষা দাও৷ কিন্তু তুমি নিজে চুরি কর৷
KJV : Thou therefore which teachest another, teachest thou not thyself? thou that preachest a man should not steal, dost thou steal?
YLT : Thou, then, who art teaching another, thyself dost thou not teach?
RV : thou therefore that teachest another, teachest thou not thyself? thou that preachest a man should not steal, dost thou steal?
RSV : you then who teach others, will you not teach yourself? While you preach against stealing, do you steal?

ERVEN : You teach others, so why don't you teach yourself? You tell them not to steal, but you yourself steal.

BNV : তুমি বল লোকে য়েন য়ৌন পাপে লিপ্ত না হয়; কিন্তু তুমি নিজে সেই পাপে পাপী৷ তুমি প্রতিমা ঘৃণা কর; কিন্তু মন্দির থেকে চুরি কর৷
KJV : Thou that sayest a man should not commit adultery, dost thou commit adultery? thou that abhorrest idols, dost thou commit sacrilege?
YLT : thou who art preaching not to steal, dost thou steal? thou who art saying not to commit adultery, dost thou commit adultery? thou who art abhorring the idols, dost thou rob temples?

ERVEN : You say they must not commit adultery, but you yourself are guilty of that sin. You hate idols, but you steal them from their temples.

BNV : তুমি ঈশ্বরের বিধি-ব্যবস্থা নিয়ে গর্ব কর আবার সেই একই বিধি-ব্যবস্থা লঙঘন করে ঈশ্বরেরই অবমাননা কর৷
KJV : Thou that makest thy boast of the law, through breaking the law dishonourest thou God?
YLT : thou who in the law dost boast, through the transgression of the law God dost thou dishonour?
RV : thou who gloriest in the law, through thy transgression of the law dishonourest thou God?
RSV : You who boast in the law, do you dishonor God by breaking the law?

ERVEN : You are so proud that you have God's law, but you bring shame to God by breaking his law.

BNV : শাস্ত্রে য়েমন লেখা আছে: ‘ইহুদীরা, তোমাদের জন্যই অইহুদীরা ঈশ্বরের নিন্দা করে৷’
KJV : For the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles through you, as it is written.
YLT : for the name of God because of you is evil spoken of among the nations, according as it hath been written.
RV : For the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles because of you, even as it is written.
RSV : For, as it is written, "The name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles because of you."

BNV : সুন্নতের মূল্য আছে যদি তুমি বিধি-ব্যবস্থা মান; কিন্তু যদি বিধি-ব্যবস্থা লঙঘন কর তাহলে তা সুন্নত না হওয়ার সমান৷
KJV : For circumcision verily profiteth, if thou keep the law: but if thou be a breaker of the law, thy circumcision is made uncircumcision.

BNV : অইহুদীরা সুন্নত করায় না; কিন্তু সুন্নত ছাড়াই যদি তারা বিধি-ব্যবস্থার নির্দেশ মেনে চলে তাহলে কি তারা সুন্নতের মতই হবে না?
KJV : Therefore if the uncircumcision keep the righteousness of the law, shall not his uncircumcision be counted for circumcision?
YLT : If, therefore the uncircumcision the righteousness of the law may keep, shall not his uncircumcision for circumcision be reckoned?

BNV : ইহুদীরা, তোমাদের লিখিত বিধি-ব্যবস্থা ও সুন্নত প্রথা আছে; কিন্তু তোমরা বিধি-ব্যবস্থা লঙঘন কর৷ তাই যাদের দৈহিকভাবে সুন্নত হয়নি অথচ বিধি-ব্যবস্থা মেনে চলে, তারা দেখিয়ে দেবে য়ে তোমরা ইহুদীরা দোষী৷
KJV : And shall not uncircumcision which is by nature, if it fulfil the law, judge thee, who by the letter and circumcision dost transgress the law?
YLT : and the uncircumcision, by nature, fulfilling the law, shall judge thee who, through letter and circumcision, [art] a transgressor of law.

KJV : For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither [is that] circumcision, which is outward in the flesh:

BNV : য়ে অন্তরে ইহুদী সেই প্রকৃত ইহুদী৷ প্রকৃত সুন্নত সম্পন্ন হয় অন্তরে; বিধি-ব্যবস্থায় লিখিত অক্ষরের মাধ্যমে তা হয় না কিন্তু অন্তরে আত্মা দ্বারা সাধিত হয়৷ আত্মার দ্বারা য়ে ব্যক্তির হৃদয়ের সুন্নত হয় সে মানুষের প্রশংসা নয়, ঈশ্বরের প্রশংসা পায়৷

ERVEN : A true Jew is one who is a Jew inside. True circumcision is done in the heart. It is done by the Spirit, not by the written law. And anyone who is circumcised in the heart by the Spirit gets praise from God, not from people.
