BNV : য়ে সমস্যার বীজ বোনে সে সমস্যারই ফসল তোলে| এবং পরিশেষে অন্যদের সমস্যায় ফেলার জন্য তার নিজেরই বিনাশ হয়|

BNV : য়ে মুক্তহস্তে দান করে তার কপালে আশীর্বাদ জোটে| সে আশীর্বাদ-ধন্য হবে কারণ সে তার নিজের খাবার গরীবদের সঙ্গে ভাগ করে খেয়েছিল|

BNV : যারা অশান্তি সৃষ্টি করে তাদের তাড়িয়ে দাও, সংঘাত আপনিই দূর হবে| তখন ন্যায় ও অপমানজনক আচরণ বিশ্রাম পাবে|

BNV : যদি তুমি একটি খাঁটি হৃদয় ভালবাস, যদি তোমার বাণী হয় মার্জিত, তাহলে রাজাও তোমার বন্ধু হবে|
KJV : He that loveth pureness of heart, [for] the grace of his lips the king [shall be] his friend.

BNV : অলস ব্যক্তি বলে, “এখন আমি কাজে য়েতে পারব না| বাইরে একটি সিংহ রযেছে| বাইরে গেলেই সে আমাকে মেরে ফেলবে|”
KJV : The slothful [man] saith, [There is] a lion without, I shall be slain in the streets.
YLT : The slothful hath said, `A lion [is] without, In the midst of the broad places I am slain.`
RV : The sluggard saith, There is a lion without: I shall be murdered in the streets.
RSV : The sluggard says, "There is a lion outside! I shall be slain in the streets!"

ERVEN : A person who is lazy and wants to stay home says, "There is a lion outside, and I might be killed in the streets!"

BNV : ব্যভিচারের পাপ হল একটি ফাঁদের মতো| সেই ফাঁদে য়ে পা দেয় তার ওপর প্রভু ভয়ঙ্কর ক্রুদ্ধ হন|
KJV : The mouth of strange women [is] a deep pit: he that is abhorred of the LORD shall fall therein.
YLT : A deep pit [is] the mouth of strange women, The abhorred of Jehovah falleth there.

BNV : শিশুরা মূর্খামি করে| কিন্তু তুমি যদি তাদের শাস্তি দাও তাহলে ওরা আর ঐ কাজ করবে না|
KJV : Foolishness [is] bound in the heart of a child; [but] the rod of correction shall drive it far from him.

BNV : এই দুটো জিনিস তোমাকে দরিদ্রে পরিণত করবে নিজে ধনী হতে গিয়ে দরিদ্রকে আঘাত করা এবং ধনীকে উপহার দেওয়া|
KJV : He that oppresseth the poor to increase his [riches, and] he that giveth to the rich, [shall] surely [come] to want.
YLT : He is oppressing the poor to multiply to him, He is giving to the rich -- only to want.
RV : He that oppresseth the poor to increase his {cf15i gain, and} he that giveth to the rich, {cf15i cometh} only to want.

BNV : আমি যা বলছি তা মন দিয়ে শোন| জ্ঞানী ব্যক্তিরা যা বলে গিয়েছেন আমি তা তোমাকে শিখিয়ে দেব| এই শিক্ষামালাগুলি থেকে শিক্ষা নাও|
KJV : Bow down thine ear, and hear the words of the wise, and apply thine heart unto my knowledge.
YLT : Incline thine ear, and hear words of the wise, And thy heart set to my knowledge,

BNV : এগুলি যদি মনে রাখতে পারো তাহলে তোমার মঙ্গল হবে| তুমি যদি এগুলি বলতে পারো তাহলে এটা তোমাকে সাহায্য করবে|
KJV : For [it is] a pleasant thing if thou keep them within thee; they shall withal be fitted in thy lips.
YLT : For they are pleasant when thou dost keep them in thy heart, They are prepared together for thy lips.

BNV : আমি তোমাকে এখন এগুলি শেখাব| আমি চাই তুমি প্রভুর প্রতি বিশ্বাস রাখো|
KJV : That thy trust may be in the LORD, I have made known to thee this day, even to thee.
YLT : That thy trust may be in Jehovah, I caused thee to know to-day, even thou.

BNV : আমি তোমার জন্য 30 টি নীতিকথা লিখেছি| এগুলি হল উপদেশ ও নানাবিধ জ্ঞানের কথা|
KJV : Have not I written to thee excellent things in counsels and knowledge,
YLT : Have I not written to thee three times With counsels and knowledge?
RV : Have not I written unto thee excellent things of counsels and knowledge;
RSV : Have I not written for you thirty sayings of admonition and knowledge,

ESV : Have I not written for you thirty sayings of counsel and knowledge,
ERVEN : I have written 30 sayings for you. These are words of advice and wisdom.

BNV : এগুলি তোমাকে সত্য এবং গুরুত্বপূর্ণ বিষয় শেখাবে| তাহলে তোমাকে যারা পাঠিয়েছিল তাদের কাছে তুমি সঠিক উত্তর দিতে পারবে|
KJV : That I might make thee know the certainty of the words of truth; that thou mightest answer the words of truth to them that send unto thee?
YLT : To cause thee to know the certainty of sayings of truth, To return sayings of truth to those sending thee.

RSV : to show you what is right and true, that you may give a true answer to those who sent you?

BNV : দরিদ্রের কাছ থেকে জিনিস চুরি করা সহজ| কিন্তু তা করো না এবং আদালতে দীনহীনের কাছ থেকে কোন সুবিধা উপভোগ করো না|
KJV : Rob not the poor, because he [is] poor: neither oppress the afflicted in the gate:

ERVEN : It is easy to steal from the poor, but don't do it. And don't take advantage of them in court.

BNV : প্রভু গরীবদের পক্ষে রযেছেন| প্রভু তাদের সমর্থন করেন| সুতরাং কেউ গরীবদের কিছু নিলে প্রভু তা আবার ছিনিয়ে নেন|
KJV : For the LORD will plead their cause, and spoil the soul of those that spoiled them.
YLT : For Jehovah pleadeth their cause, And hath spoiled the soul of their spoilers.

BNV : রগচটা লোকের সাথে বন্ধুত্ব কোরো না| য়ে লোক খুব তাড়াতাড়ি রেগে যায় তার খুব কাছে য়েও না|
KJV : Make no friendship with an angry man; and with a furious man thou shalt not go:
YLT : Shew not thyself friendly with an angry man, And with a man of fury go not in,
RV : Make no friendship with a man that is given to anger; and with a wrathful man thou shalt not go:

BNV : অন্যের ঋণ শোধের অঙ্গীকার করো না|
KJV : Be not thou [one] of them that strike hands, [or] of them that are sureties for debts.
YLT : Be not thou among those striking hands, Among sureties [for] burdens.

BNV : যদি তুমি জামিনদার হিসেবে সেই ঋণের অর্থ পরিশোধ করতে না পারো তাহলে তুমি সব হারাবে| কেন শুধু শুধু নিজের শয়্য়াটুকু খোযাতে যাবে?
KJV : If thou hast nothing to pay, why should he take away thy bed from under thee?

BNV : সম্পত্তি সীমার পুরাতন চিহ্ন, যা তোমার পিতৃপুরুষগণ স্থাপন করে গিয়েছিলেন তা বদলে দিও না|
KJV : Remove not the ancient landmark, which thy fathers have set.
YLT : Remove not a border of olden times, That thy fathers have made.

BNV : যদি কেউ নিজের কাজে অত্যন্ত দক্ষ হয় তাহলে সে রাজাকে সেবা করার যোগ্য| তাকে আর সাধারণ লোকের জন্য কাজ করতে হবে না|
