BNV : ইস্রায়েলের লোকরা প্রথম মাসে, সীন মরুভূমিতে পৌঁছালো| প্রথমে তারা কাদেশে পৌঁছাল, সেখানে মরিযম মারা গেলেন এবং তাকে সেখানেই কবর দেওয়া হয়েছিল|
KJV : Then came the children of Israel, [even] the whole congregation, into the desert of Zin in the first month: and the people abode in Kadesh; and Miriam died there, and was buried there.
YLT : And the sons of Israel come in, -- all the company -- to the wilderness of Zin, in the first month, and the people abide in Kadesh, and Miriam dieth there, and is buried there.
RV : And the children of Israel, even the whole congregation, came into the wilderness of Zin in the first month: and the people abode in Kadesh; and Miriam died there, and was buried there.

ERVEN : The Israelites arrived at the Zin desert on the first month. The people stayed at Kadesh. Miriam died and was buried there.

BNV : সেই জায়গায় লোকদের জন্য পর্য়াপ্ত পরিমাণ জল ছিল না, সুতরাং মোশি এবং হারোণের কাছে অভিয়োগ করার জন্যে লোকরা এক জায়গায় মিলিত হয়েছিল|
KJV : And there was no water for the congregation: and they gathered themselves together against Moses and against Aaron.
YLT : And there hath been no water for the company, and they are assembled against Moses, and against Aaron,
RV : And there was no water for the congregation: and they assembled themselves together against Moses and against Aaron.

ERVEN : There was not enough water for the people at that place. So the people met together to complain against Moses and Aaron.

BNV : লোকরা মোশির সঙ্গে তর্ক করে বলল, “এও হলে ভাল হতো যদি আমরা আমাদের ভাইদের মতো প্রভুর সামনে মারা যেতাম|
KJV : And the people chode with Moses, and spake, saying, Would God that we had died when our brethren died before the LORD!
YLT : and the people strive with Moses, and speak, saying, `And oh that we had expired when our brethren expired before Jehovah!
RV : And the people strove with Moses, and spake, saying, Would God that we had died when our brethren died before the LORD!
RSV : And the people contended with Moses, and said, "Would that we had died when our brethren died before the LORD!

ESV : And the people quarreled with Moses and said, "Would that we had perished when our brothers perished before the LORD!
ERVEN : The people argued with Moses and said, "Maybe we should have died in front of the Lord like our brothers did.

BNV : আপনি কেন প্রভুর লোকদের এই মরুভূমিতে নিয়ে এসেছিলেন? আপনার ইচ্ছে কি এটাই যে আমাদের এবং আমাদের সঙ্গে থাকা পশুদের এখানেই মৃত্যু হোক?
KJV : And why have ye brought up the congregation of the LORD into this wilderness, that we and our cattle should die there?
YLT : and why have ye brought in the assembly of Jehovah unto this wilderness to die there, we and our beasts?
RV : And why have ye brought the assembly of the LORD into this wilderness, that we should die there, we and our cattle?

ERVEN : Why did you bring the Lord's people into this desert? Do you want us and our animals to die here?

BNV : আপনি কেন আমাদের মিশর থেকে এই খারপ জায়গায় নিয়ে এসেছেন? এখানে কোনো শস্য নেই| এখানে কোনো ডুমুর, দ্রাক্ষা অথবা ডালিম ফল নেই এবং পানের জন্য কোনো জলও নেই|”
KJV : And wherefore have ye made us to come up out of Egypt, to bring us in unto this evil place? it [is] no place of seed, or of figs, or of vines, or of pomegranates; neither [is] there any water to drink.
YLT : and why hast thou brought us up out of Egypt to bring us in unto this evil place? no place of seed, and fig, and vine, and pomegranate; and water there is none to drink.
RV : And wherefore have ye made us to come up out of Egypt, to bring us in unto this evil place? it is no place of seed, or of figs, or of vines, or of pomegranates; neither is there any water to drink.

BNV : সুতরাং মোশি এবং হারোণ লোকদের কাছ থেকে বিদায নিয়ে সমাগম তাঁবুর প্রবেশ পথে গেলেন| তারা মাটিতে উপুড় হয়ে পড়লে প্রভুর মহিমা তাঁদের সামনে প্রকাশিত হল|
KJV : And Moses and Aaron went from the presence of the assembly unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, and they fell upon their faces: and the glory of the LORD appeared unto them.
YLT : And Moses and Aaron go in from the presence of the assembly unto the opening of the tent of meeting, and fall on their faces, and the honour of Jehovah is seen by them.
RV : And Moses and Aaron went from the presence of the assembly unto the door of the tent of meeting, and fell upon their faces: and the glory of the LORD appeared unto them.

ESV : Then Moses and Aaron went from the presence of the assembly to the entrance of the tent of meeting and fell on their faces. And the glory of the LORD appeared to them,
ERVEN : So Moses and Aaron left the crowd of people and went to the entrance of the Meeting Tent. They bowed down to the ground, and the Glory of the Lord appeared to them.

BNV : প্রভু মোশিকে বললেন,
KJV : And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
YLT : And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,

ASV : And Jehovah spake unto Moses, saying,

ERVEN : The Lord spoke to Moses and said,

BNV : “হাঁটার বিশেষ লাঠিটি নিয়ে এসো| হারোণ এবং লোকদের নিয়ে সেই পাহাড়ের সামনে এসো| সবার সামনে ঐ পাহাড়কে বলো, তখন ঐ পাহাড় থেকে জল প্রবাহিত হবে| তুমি সেই জল লোকদের এবং তাদের পশুদের দিতে পারবে|”
KJV : Take the rod, and gather thou the assembly together, thou, and Aaron thy brother, and speak ye unto the rock before their eyes; and it shall give forth his water, and thou shalt bring forth to them water out of the rock: so thou shalt give the congregation and their beasts drink.
YLT : `Take the rod, and assemble the company, thou and Aaron thy brother; and ye have spoken unto the rock before their eyes, and it hath given its water, and thou hast brought out to them water from the rock, and hast watered the company, and their beasts.`
RV : Take the rod, and assemble the congregation, thou, and Aaron thy brother, and speak ye unto the rock before their eyes, that it give forth its water; and thou shalt bring forth to them water out of the rock: so thou shalt give the congregation and their cattle drink.
RSV : "Take the rod, and assemble the congregation, you and Aaron your brother, and tell the rock before their eyes to yield its water; so you shall bring water out of the rock for them; so you shall give drink to the congregation and their cattle."
ASV : Take the rod, and assemble the congregation, thou, and Aaron thy brother, and speak ye unto the rock before their eyes, that it give forth its water; and thou shalt bring forth to them water out of the rock; so thou shalt give the congregation and their cattle drink.
ESV : "Take the staff, and assemble the congregation, you and Aaron your brother, and tell the rock before their eyes to yield its water. So you shall bring water out of the rock for them and give drink to the congregation and their cattle."
ERVEN : "Get the special walking stick. Take your brother Aaron and the crowd of people and go to that rock. Speak to the rock in front of the people. Then water will flow from the rock, and you can give that water to the people and to their animals."

BNV : লাঠিটি পবিত্র তাঁবুতে প্রভুর সামনে ছিল| প্রভু যেভাবে বলেছিলেন, মোশি সেই ভাবেই লাঠিটি নিয়ে এলেন|
KJV : And Moses took the rod from before the LORD, as he commanded him.
YLT : And Moses taketh the rod from before Jehovah, as He hath commanded him,
RV : And Moses took the rod from before the LORD, as he commanded him.
RSV : And Moses took the rod from before the LORD, as he commanded him.
ASV : And Moses took the rod from before Jehovah, as he commanded him.
ESV : And Moses took the staff from before the LORD, as he commanded him.
ERVEN : The walking stick was in the Holy Tent, in front of the Lord. Moses took the walking stick like the Lord said.

BNV : মোশি এবং হারোণ পাহাড়ের সামনে সমস্ত লোকদের সমবেত হতে বললেন| তখন মোশি বললেন, “তোমরা সকল সমযেই অভিয়োগ করছ| এখন আমার কথা শোন| আমরা কি তোমাদের জন্য এই পাহাড় থেকে জল বের করবো?”
KJV : And Moses and Aaron gathered the congregation together before the rock, and he said unto them, Hear now, ye rebels; must we fetch you water out of this rock?
YLT : and Moses and Aaron assemble the assembly unto the front of the rock, and he saith to them, `Hear, I pray you, O rebels, from this rock do we bring out to you water?`
RV : And Moses and Aaron gathered the assembly together before the rock, and he said unto them, Hear now, ye rebels; shall we bring you forth water out of this rock?
RSV : And Moses and Aaron gathered the assembly together before the rock, and he said to them, "Hear now, you rebels; shall we bring forth water for you out of this rock?"
ASV : And Moses and Aaron gathered the assembly together before the rock, and he said unto them, Hear now, ye rebels; shall we bring you forth water out of this rock?
ESV : Then Moses and Aaron gathered the assembly together before the rock, and he said to them, "Hear now, you rebels: shall we bring water for you out of this rock?"
ERVEN : Moses and Aaron told the people to meet together in front of the rock. Then Moses said, "You people are always complaining. Now listen to me. I will cause water to flow from this rock."

BNV : এরপর মোশি তার হাত তুললেন এবং পাহাড়ে দুবার আঘাত করলেন| পাহাড় থেকে জল বেরোতে শুরু করল| লোকরা এবং তাদের পশুরা জল পান করল|
KJV : And Moses lifted up his hand, and with his rod he smote the rock twice: and the water came out abundantly, and the congregation drank, and their beasts [also.]
YLT : and Moses lifteth up his hand, and smiteth the rock with his rod twice; and much water cometh out, and the company drink, also their beasts.
RV : And Moses lifted up his hand, and smote the rock with his rod twice: and water came forth abundantly, and the congregation drank, and their cattle.

ERVEN : Moses lifted his arm and hit the rock twice. Water began flowing from the rock, and the people and their animals drank that water.

BNV : কিন্তু প্রভু মোশি ও হারোণকে বললেন, “ইস্রায়েলের সব লোকর সাক্ষাতে তুমি আমার প্রতি সম্মান দেখাও নি| তুমি ইস্রায়েলের লোকদের দেখাও নি যে জল বের করার ক্ষমতা আমার থেকেই এসেছে| তুমি লোকদের দেখাও নি যে তুমি আমার প্রতি বিশ্বাস রেখেছো| আমি ঐসব লোকদের সেই দেশটি দেব যে দেশটি আমি তাদের দেব বলে শপথ করেছিলাম, কিন্তু তুমি তাদের সেই দেশে নিয়ে যেতে নেতৃত্ব দেবে না|”
KJV : And the LORD spake unto Moses and Aaron, Because ye believed me not, to sanctify me in the eyes of the children of Israel, therefore ye shall not bring this congregation into the land which I have given them.
YLT : And Jehovah saith unto Moses, and unto Aaron, `Because ye have not believed in Me to sanctify Me before the eyes of the sons of Israel, therefore ye do not bring in this assembly unto the land which I have given to them.`
RV : And the LORD said unto Moses and Aaron, Because ye believed not in me, to sanctify me in the eyes of the children of Israel, therefore ye shall not bring this assembly into the land which I have given them.
RSV : And the LORD said to Moses and Aaron, "Because you did not believe in me, to sanctify me in the eyes of the people of Israel, therefore you shall not bring this assembly into the land which I have given them."
ASV : And Jehovah said unto Moses and Aaron, Because ye believed not in me, to sanctify me in the eyes of the children of Israel, therefore ye shall not bring this assembly into the land which I have given them.
ESV : And the LORD said to Moses and Aaron, "Because you did not believe in me, to uphold me as holy in the eyes of the people of Israel, therefore you shall not bring this assembly into the land that I have given them."
ERVEN : But the Lord said to Moses and Aaron, "You did not trust me enough to honor me and show the people that I am holy. You did not show the Israelites that the power to make the water came from me. So you will not lead the people into the land that I have given them."

BNV : এই জায়গাটিকে বলা হতো মরীবার জল| এটিই সেই জায়গা যেখানে ইস্রায়েলীয়রা প্রভুর সঙ্গে বিবাদ করেছিল এবং এটিই সেই জায়গা যেখানে প্রভু তাদের দেখিয়েছিলেন যে তিনি পবিত্র|
KJV : This [is] the water of Meribah; because the children of Israel strove with the LORD, and he was sanctified in them.
YLT : These [are] waters of Meribah, because the sons of Israel have `striven` with Jehovah, and He is sanctified upon them.
RV : These are the waters of Meribah; because the children of Israel strove with the LORD, and he was sanctified in them.
RSV : These are the waters of Meribah, where the people of Israel contended with the LORD, and he showed himself holy among them.
ASV : These are the waters of Meribah; because the children of Israel strove with Jehovah, and he was sanctified in them.
ESV : These are the waters of Meribah, where the people of Israel quarreled with the LORD, and through them he showed himself holy.
ERVEN : This place was called the waters of Meribah. This is where the Israelites argued with the Lord and where the Lord showed them that he was holy.

BNV : কাদেশে থাকাকালীন মোশি ইদোমীয় রাজার কাছে বার্তাসহ কযেকজন লোককে পাঠালেন| বার্তায বলা ছিল: “আপনার ভাইযেরা অর্থাত্‌ ইস্রায়েলের লোকরা, আপনাকে বলছে: আমাদের যে সব সমস্যা আছে সে সম্পর্কে আপনি সবই জানেন|
KJV : And Moses sent messengers from Kadesh unto the king of Edom, Thus saith thy brother Israel, Thou knowest all the travail that hath befallen us:
YLT : And Moses sendeth messengers from Kadesh unto the king of Edom, `Thus said thy brother Israel, Thou -- thou hast known all the travail which hath found us;
RV : And Moses sent messengers from Kadesh unto the king of Edom, Thus saith thy brother Israel, Thou knowest all the travail that hath befallen us:
RSV : Moses sent messengers from Kadesh to the king of Edom, "Thus says your brother Israel: You know all the adversity that has befallen us:
ASV : And Moses sent messengers from Kadesh unto the king of Edom, Thus saith thy brother Israel, Thou knowest all the travail that hath befallen us:
ESV : Moses sent messengers from Kadesh to the king of Edom: "Thus says your brother Israel: You know all the hardship that we have met:
ERVEN : While Moses was at Kadesh, he sent some men with a message to the king of Edom. The message said: "Your brothers, the Israelites, say to you: You know about all the troubles that we have had.

BNV : বহু বছর আগে আমাদের পূর্বপুরুষরা মিশরে গিয়েছিলেন এবং আমরা সেখানে বহু বছর বাস করেছিলাম| মিশরের লোকরা আমাদের পূর্বপুরুষদের প্রতি নিষ্ঠুর ছিলেন|

ERVEN : Many years ago our ancestors went down into Egypt, and we lived there for many years. The people of Egypt were cruel to us.

BNV : কিন্তু আমরা প্রভুর কাছে সাহায্যের জন্য প্রার্থনা করেছিলাম| প্রভু আমাদের প্রার্থনা শুনেছিলেন এবং আমাদের সাহায্যের জন্য একজন দূত পাঠিয়েছিলেন| প্রভু আমাদের মিশর থেকে নিয়ে এসেছেন| “এখন আমরা আপনার দেশের প্রান্তে কাদেশে আছি|
KJV : And when we cried unto the LORD, he heard our voice, and sent an angel, and hath brought us forth out of Egypt: and, behold, we [are] in Kadesh, a city in the uttermost of thy border:
YLT : and we cry unto Jehovah, and He heareth our voice, and sendeth a messenger, and is bringing us out of Egypt; and lo, we [are] in Kadesh, a city [in] the extremity of thy border.
RV : and when we cried unto the LORD, he heard our voice, and sent an angel, and brought us forth out of Egypt: and, behold, we are in Kadesh, a city in the uttermost of thy border:
RSV : and when we cried to the LORD, he heard our voice, and sent an angel and brought us forth out of Egypt; and here we are in Kadesh, a city on the edge of your territory.

ESV : And when we cried to the LORD, he heard our voice and sent an angel and brought us out of Egypt. And here we are in Kadesh, a city on the edge of your territory.
ERVEN : But we asked the Lord for help, and he heard us and sent an angel to help us. The Lord has brought us out of Egypt. "Now we are here at Kadesh, where your land begins.

BNV : দয়া করে আপনার দেশের মধ্য দিয়ে আমাদের যেতে দিন| আমরা কোনো শস্য ক্ষেত অথবা কোনো দ্রাক্ষাক্ষেতের মধ্য দিয়ে যাবো না| আমরা আপনাদের কোনো জলাশয থেকে জল পান করবো না| আমরা রাজপথ বরাবর যাতাযাত করবো| আমরা ঐ রাস্তা থেকে কোনো সময়ই ডানদিকে অথবা বাঁদিকে যাবো না| যতক্ষণ পর্য়ন্ত আমরা আপনার দেশের মধ্য দিয়ে যাচ্ছি, ততক্ষণ পর্য়ন্ত আমরা এই রাস্তার ওপরেই থাকবো|”
KJV : Let us pass, I pray thee, through thy country: we will not pass through the fields, or through the vineyards, neither will we drink [of] the water of the wells: we will go by the king’s [high] way, we will not turn to the right hand nor to the left, until we have passed thy borders.
YLT : Let us pass over, we pray thee, through thy land; we pass not over through a field, or through a vineyard, nor do we drink waters of a well; the way of the king we go, we turn not aside -- right or left -- till that we pass over thy border.`
RV : let us pass, I pray thee, through thy land: we will not pass through field or through vineyard, neither will we drink of the water of the wells: we will go along the king-s {cf15i high} way, we will not turn aside to the right hand nor to the left, until we have passed thy border.
RSV : Now let us pass through your land. We will not pass through field or vineyard, neither will we drink water from a well; we will go along the King's Highway, we will not turn aside to the right hand or to the left, until we have passed through your territory."
ASV : Let us pass, I pray thee, through thy land: we will not pass through field or through vineyard, neither will we drink of the water of the wells: we will go along the kings highway; we will not turn aside to the right hand nor to the left, until we have passed thy border.
ESV : Please let us pass through your land. We will not pass through field or vineyard, or drink water from a well. We will go along the King's Highway. We will not turn aside to the right hand or to the left until we have passed through your territory."
ERVEN : Please let us travel through your country. We will not travel through any fields or vineyards. We will not drink water from any of your wells. We will travel only along the King's Road. We will not leave that road to the right or to the left. We will stay on the road until we have traveled through your country."

BNV : কিন্তু ইদোমীয রাজা উত্তর দিলেন, “তোমরা আমার দেশের মধ্য দিয়ে যেতে পারবে না| তোমরা আমার দেশের মধ্য দিয়ে যাবার চেষ্টা করলে আমরা তরবারি নিয়ে তোমাদের সঙ্গে যুদ্ধ করবো|”
KJV : And Edom said unto him, Thou shalt not pass by me, lest I come out against thee with the sword.
YLT : And Edom saith unto him, `Thou dost not pass over through me, lest with sword I come out to meet thee.`
RV : And Edom said unto him, Thou shalt not pass through me, lest I come out with the sword against thee.
RSV : But Edom said to him, "You shall not pass through, lest I come out with the sword against you."
ASV : And Edom said unto him, Thou shalt not pass through me, lest I come out with the sword against thee.
ESV : But Edom said to him, "You shall not pass through, lest I come out with the sword against you."
ERVEN : But the king of Edom answered, "You may not travel through our land. If you try to travel through our land, we will come and fight you with swords."

BNV : ইস্রায়েলের লোকরা উত্তর দিল, “আমরা প্রধান রাস্তা দিয়ে যাবো| যদি আমাদের পশুরা আপনাদের কোনো জল পান করে, আমরা তার জন্য মূল্য দেবো| আমরা কেবলমাত্র আপনার দেশের মধ্য দিয়ে পাযে হেঁটে যেতে চাই| আর কিছু নয়|”
KJV : And the children of Israel said unto him, We will go by the high way: and if I and my cattle drink of thy water, then I will pay for it: I will only, without [doing] any thing [else,] go through on my feet.
YLT : And the sons of Israel say unto him, `In the highway we go, and if of thy waters we drink -- I and my cattle -- then I have given their price; only (it is nothing) on my feet I pass over.`
RV : And the children of Israel said unto him, We will go up by the highway: and if we drink of thy water, I and my cattle, then will I give the price thereof: let me only, without {cf15i doing} any thing {cf15i else}, pass through on my feet.
RSV : And the people of Israel said to him, "We will go up by the highway; and if we drink of your water, I and my cattle, then I will pay for it; let me only pass through on foot, nothing more."
ASV : And the children of Israel said unto him, We will go up by the highway; and if we drink of thy water, I and my cattle, then will I give the price thereof: let me only, without doing anything else, pass through on my feet.
ESV : And the people of Israel said to him, "We will go up by the highway, and if we drink of your water, I and my livestock, then I will pay for it. Let me only pass through on foot, nothing more."
ERVEN : The Israelites answered, "We will travel along the main road. If our animals drink any of your water, we will pay you for it. We only want to walk through your country. We don't want to take it for ourselves."

BNV : কিন্তু ইদোম আবার উত্তর দিলেন, “আমরা তোমাদের আমাদের দেশের মধ্য দিয়ে আসার অনুমতি দেবো না|”এরপর ইদোমীয় রাজা এক বিশাল এবং শক্তিশালী সৈন্যবাহিনী জড়ো করলেন এবং ইস্রায়েলের লোকদের বিরুদ্ধে যুদ্ধের জন্য গেলেন|
KJV : And he said, Thou shalt not go through. And Edom came out against him with much people, and with a strong hand.
YLT : And he saith, `Thou dost not pass over;` and Edom cometh out to meet him with much people, and with a strong hand;

ERVEN : But again the king of Edom answered, "We will not allow you to come through our country." Then the king of Edom gathered a large and powerful army and went out to fight against the Israelites.

BNV : ইদোমীয় রাজা তার দেশের মধ্য দিয়ে ইস্রায়েলের লোকদের যাওয়া নিষেধ করলেন| তাই ইস্রায়েলের লোকরা ঘুরে অন্য পথে গেল|
KJV : Thus Edom refused to give Israel passage through his border: wherefore Israel turned away from him.

BNV : “হারোণের মৃত্যুর সময় হয়েছে এবং তাঁর পূর্বপুরুষদের কাছে যাওয়ার সময় হয়েছে| যে দেশটা আমি ইস্রায়েলের লোকদের দেব বলে প্রতিশ্রুতি করেছিলাম, হারোণ সেই দেশে প্রবেশ করবে না| মোশি, আমি একথা তোমাকেও বললাম, কারণ তুমি এবং হারোণ দুজনেই মরীবার জলের ধারে দেওয়া আমার আজ্ঞার বিরুদ্ধাচরণ করেছিলে|
KJV : Aaron shall be gathered unto his people: for he shall not enter into the land which I have given unto the children of Israel, because ye rebelled against my word at the water of Meribah.

KJV : And when all the congregation saw that Aaron was dead, they mourned for Aaron thirty days, [even] all the house of Israel.
YLT : and all the company see that Aaron hath expired, and they bewail Aaron thirty days -- all the house of Israel.
