BNV : ছ’দিন পর যীশু পিতর, যাকোব ও তার ভাই য়োহনকেসঙ্গে নিয়ে নির্জন এক পাহাড়ের চূড়ায় গিয়ে উঠলেন৷
KJV : And after six days Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into an high mountain apart,
YLT : And after six days Jesus taketh Peter, and James, and John his brother, and doth bring them up to a high mount by themselves,

ERVEN : Six days later, Jesus took Peter, James, and John the brother of James and went up on a high mountain. They were all alone there.

BNV : সেখানে তাদের সামনে যীশুর রূপান্তর হল৷ তাঁর মুখমণ্ডল সূর্যের মতো উজ্জ্বল ও তাঁর পোশাক আলোর মত সাদা হয়ে গেল৷
KJV : And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light.

BNV : তারপর হঠাত্ মোশি ও এলীয় তাদের কাছে উপস্থিত হয়ে যীশুর সঙ্গে কথা বলতে লাগলেন৷
KJV : And, behold, there appeared unto them Moses and Elias talking with him.
YLT : and lo, appear to them did Moses and Elijah, talking together with him.

BNV : এই দেখে পিতর যীশুকে বললেন, ‘প্রভু, ভালইহয়েছে য়ে আমরা এখানে আছি৷ যদি আপনার ইচ্ছে হয় তবে আমি এখানে তিনটে তাঁবু খাটাতে পারি, একটা হবে আপনার, একটা মোশির জন্য আর একটা এলীয়র জন্য৷’
KJV : Then answered Peter, and said unto Jesus, Lord, it is good for us to be here: if thou wilt, let us make here three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias.
YLT : And Peter answering said to Jesus, `Sir, it is good to us to be here; if thou wilt, we may make here three booths -- for thee one, and for Moses one, and one for Elijah.`

BNV : পিতর যখন কথা বলছিলেন, সেইসময় একটা উজ্জ্বল মেঘ তাঁদের ঢেকে দিল৷ সেই মেঘ থেকে একটি রব শোনা গেল, ‘ইনিই আমার প্রিয় পুত্র, এর প্রতি আমি খুবই প্রীত৷ তোমরা এঁর কথা শোন৷’
KJV : While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.
YLT : While he is yet speaking, lo, a bright cloud overshadowed them, and lo, a voice out of the cloud, saying, `This is My Son, -- the Beloved, in whom I did delight; hear him.`

ERVEN : While Peter was talking, a bright cloud came over them. A voice came from the cloud and said, "This is my Son, the one I love. I am very pleased with him. Obey him!"

BNV : যীশুর শিষ্যরা একথা শুনে খুব ভয় পেয়ে মাটিতে উপুড় হয়ে পড়ে গেলেন৷
KJV : And when the disciples heard [it,] they fell on their face, and were sore afraid.

BNV : তাঁরা মুখ তুলে তাকালে যীশু ছাড়া আর কাউকে সেখানে দেখতে পেলেন না৷

BNV : তাঁরা যখন সেই পাহাড় থেকে নেমে আসছিলেন, সেই সময় যীশু তাদের বললেন, ‘তোমরা যা দেখলে তা মানবপুত্র মৃতদের মধ্য থেকে জীবিত হয়ে না ওঠা পর্যন্ত কাউকে বলো না৷’
KJV : And as they came down from the mountain, Jesus charged them, saying, {SCJ}Tell the vision to no man, until the Son of man be risen again from the dead. {SCJ.}
YLT : And as they are coming down from the mount, Jesus charged them, saying, `Say to no one the vision, till the Son of Man out of the dead may rise.`

ERVEN : As Jesus and the followers were coming down the mountain, he gave them this command: "Don't tell anyone about what you saw on the mountain. Wait until the Son of Man has been raised from death. Then you can tell people about what you saw."

BNV : তখন তাঁর শিষ্যরা তাঁকে জিজ্ঞেস করলেন, ‘তাহলে ব্যবস্থার শিক্ষকরা কেন বলে থাকেন য়ে, প্রথমে এলীয়র আসা আবশ্যক?’
KJV : And his disciples asked him, saying, Why then say the scribes that Elias must first come?
YLT : And his disciples questioned him, saying, `Why then do the scribes say that Elijah it behoveth to come first?`

BNV : এর উত্তরে যীশু তাঁদের বললেন, ‘এলীয় আসবেন, আর তিনি সব কিছু পুনঃস্থাপন করবেন৷
KJV : And Jesus answered and said unto them, {SCJ}Elias truly shall first come, and restore all things. {SCJ.}
YLT : And Jesus answering said to them, `Elijah doth indeed come first, and shall restore all things,

ERVEN : Jesus answered, "They are right to say Elijah is coming. And it is true that Elijah will make all things the way they should be.

BNV : কিন্তু আমি তোমাদের বলছি, এলীয় এসে গেছেন, আর লোকে তাকে চেনেনি৷ লোকেরা তাঁর প্রতি যাচ্ছেতাইব্যবহার করেছে৷ মানবপুত্রকেও তাদের হাতে সেই একই রকম নির্য়াতন ভোগ করতে হবে৷’
KJV : {SCJ}But I say unto you, That Elias is come already, and they knew him not, but have done unto him whatsoever they listed. Likewise shall also the Son of man suffer of them. {SCJ.}
YLT : and I say to you -- Elijah did already come, and they did not know him, but did with him whatever they would, so also the Son of Man is about to suffer by them.`
RV : but I say unto you, that Elijah is come already, and they knew him not, but did unto him whatsoever they listed. Even so shall the Son of man also suffer of them.

ERVEN : But I tell you, Elijah has already come. People did not know who he was, and they treated him badly, doing whatever they wanted to do. It is the same with the Son of Man. Those same people will make the Son of Man suffer."

BNV : তখন তাঁর শিষ্যরা বুঝতে পারলেন য়ে, তিনি তাঁদের বাপ্তিস্মদাতা য়োহনের কথা বলছেন৷
KJV : Then the disciples understood that he spake unto them of John the Baptist.
YLT : Then understood the disciples that concerning John the Baptist he spake to them.

BNV : যীশু যখন লোকদের মাঝে আবার ফিরে এলেন, তখন একজন লোক যীশুর কাছে এসে তাঁর সামনে হাঁটু গেড়ে বলল,
KJV : And when they were come to the multitude, there came to him a [certain] man, kneeling down to him, and saying,

BNV : ‘প্রভু আমার ছেলেটিকে দয়া করুন৷ তার মৃগী রোগ হয়েছে, তাতে সে খুবই কষ্ট পাচ্ছে৷ সে প্রায়ই হয় আগুনে, নয় তো জলে পড়ে যায়৷
KJV : Lord, have mercy on my son: for he is lunatick, and sore vexed: for ofttimes he falleth into the fire, and oft into the water.
YLT : and saying, `Sir, deal kindly with my son, for he is lunatic, and doth suffer miserably, for often he doth fall into the fire, and often into the water,
RV : Lord, have mercy on my son: for he is epileptic, and suffereth grievously: for oft-times he falleth into the fire, and oft-times into the water.

BNV : আমি তাকে আপনার শিষ্যদের কাছে এনেছিলাম, কিন্তু তাঁরা তাকে সুস্থ করতে পারেন নি৷’
KJV : And I brought him to thy disciples, and they could not cure him.

BNV : এর উত্তরে যীশু বললেন, ‘তোমরা অবিশ্বাসী ও দুষ্ট প্রকৃতির লোক৷ কতকাল আমি তোমাদের সঙ্গে থাকব? কতকাল আমি তোমাদের বহন করব? ছেলেটিকে আমার কাছে নিয়ে এস৷’
KJV : Then Jesus answered and said, {SCJ}O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him hither to me. {SCJ.}
YLT : And Jesus answering said, `O generation, unstedfast and perverse, till when shall I be with you? till when shall I bear you? bring him to me hither;`
RV : And Jesus answered and said, O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I bear with you? bring him hither to me.

ERVEN : Jesus answered, "You people today have no faith. Your lives are so wrong! How long must I stay with you? How long must I continue to be patient with you? Bring the boy here."

BNV : তখন যীশু সেইভূতকে তিরস্কার করলে ভূতটি ছেলেটির মধ্য থেকে বের হয়ে গেল, আর সেই মুহূর্ত্ত থেকেইছেলেটি সম্পূর্ণ সুস্থ হয়ে গেল৷
KJV : And Jesus rebuked the devil; and he departed out of him: and the child was cured from that very hour.
YLT : and Jesus rebuked him, and the demon went out of him, and the lad was healed from that hour.
RV : And Jesus rebuked him; and the devil went out from him: and the boy was cured from that hour.
RSV : And Jesus rebuked him, and the demon came out of him, and the boy was cured instantly.

ERVEN : Jesus gave a strong command to the demon inside the boy. The demon came out of the boy, and the boy was healed.

BNV : পরে শিষ্যরা একান্তে যীশুর কাছে এসে তাঁকে জিজ্ঞেস করলেন, ‘আমরা সেইভুতকে তাড়াতে পারলাম না কেন?’
KJV : Then came the disciples to Jesus apart, and said, Why could not we cast him out?
YLT : Then the disciples having come to Jesus by himself, said, `Wherefore were we not able to cast him out?`
RV : Then came the disciples to Jesus apart, and said, Why could not we cast it out?
RSV : Then the disciples came to Jesus privately and said, "Why could we not cast it out?"

ERVEN : Then the followers came to Jesus alone. They said, "We tried to force the demon out of the boy, but we could not. Why were we not able to make the demon go out?"

BNV : যীশু তাদের বললেন, ‘তোমাদের অল্প বিশ্বাসের কারণেইতোমরা তা পারলে না৷ আমি তোমাদের সত্যি বলছি, ছোট্ট সরষে দানার মতো এতটুকু বিশ্বাসও যদি তোমাদের থাকে, তবে তোমরা যদি এই পাহাড়কে বল, ‘এখান থেকে সরে ওখানে যাও’ তবে তা সরে যাবে৷ তোমাদের পক্ষে কিছুই অসন্ভব হবে না৷’
KJV : And Jesus said unto them, {SCJ}Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you. {SCJ.}
YLT : And Jesus said to them, `Through your want of faith; for verily I say to you, if ye may have faith as a grain of mustard, ye shall say to this mount, Remove hence to yonder place, and it shall remove, and nothing shall be impossible to you,
RV : And he saith unto them, Because of your little faith: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.
RSV : He said to them, "Because of your little faith. For truly, I say to you, if you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, `Move from here to there,' and it will move; and nothing will be impossible to you."

ESV : He said to them, "Because of your little faith. For truly, I say to you, if you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you."
ERVEN : Jesus answered, "You were not able to make the demon go out, because your faith is too small. Believe me when I tell you, if your faith is only as big as a mustard seed you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move. You will be able to do anything."

KJV : {SCJ}Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting. {SCJ.}
YLT : and this kind doth not go forth except in prayer and fasting.`

BNV : যীশু ও তাঁর শিষ্যেরা একসঙ্গে যখন গালীলে ঘুরে বেড়াচ্ছিলেন, তখন যীশু তাঁদের বললেন, ‘মানবপুত্রকে মানুষের হাতে তুলে দেওয়া হবে৷
KJV : And while they abode in Galilee, Jesus said unto them, {SCJ}The Son of man shall be betrayed into the hands of men:{SCJ.}
YLT : And while they are living in Galilee, Jesus said to them, `The Son of Man is about to be delivered up to the hands of men,
RV : And while they abode in Galilee, Jesus said unto them, The Son of man shall be delivered up into the hands of men;
RSV : As they were gathering in Galilee, Jesus said to them, "The Son of man is to be delivered into the hands of men,

ERVEN : Later, the followers met together in Galilee. Jesus said to them, "The Son of Man will be handed over to the control of other men,

BNV : তারা তাঁকে হত্যা করবে; কিন্তু তিন দিনের দিন মানবপুত্র মৃত্যু থেকে জীবিত হয়ে উঠবেন৷’ এতে শিষ্যরা খুবইদুঃখিত হলেন৷
KJV : {SCJ}And they shall kill him, and the third day he shall be raised again.{SCJ.} And they were exceeding sorry.
YLT : and they shall kill him, and the third day he shall rise,` and they were exceeding sorry.

RSV : and they will kill him, and he will be raised on the third day." And they were greatly distressed.

ERVEN : who will kill him. But on the third day he will be raised from death." The followers were very sad to hear that Jesus would be killed.

BNV : যীশু ও তাঁর শিষ্যরা কফরনাহূমে গেলে, মন্দিরের জন্য যারা কর আদায় করত তারা পিতরের কাছে এসে বলল, ‘আপনাদের গুরু কি মন্দিরের কর দেন না?’
KJV : And when they were come to Capernaum, they that received tribute [money] came to Peter, and said, Doth not your master pay tribute?
YLT : And they having come to Capernaum, those receiving the didrachms came near to Peter, and said, `Your teacher -- doth he not pay the didrachms?` He saith, `Yes.`
RV : And when they were come to Capernaum, they that received the half-shekel came to Peter, and said, Doth not your master pay the half-shekel?
RSV : When they came to Capernaum, the collectors of the half-shekel tax went up to Peter and said, "Does not your teacher pay the tax?"
ASV : And when they were come to Capernaum, they that received the half-shekel came to Peter, and said, Doth not your teacher pay the half-shekel?
ESV : When they came to Capernaum, the collectors of the half-shekel tax went up to Peter and said, "Does your teacher not pay the tax?"
ERVEN : Jesus and his followers went to Capernaum. There the men who collect the two-drachma Temple tax came to Peter and asked, "Does your teacher pay the Temple tax?"

BNV : পিতর বললেন, ‘হ্যাঁ, দেন৷’আর তিনি ঘরে গিয়ে কিছু বলার আগেই যীশু প্রথমে তাঁকে বললেন, ‘শিমোন তোমার কি মনে হয়? এই পৃথিবীর রাজারা কাদের কাছ থেকে নানারকম কর আদায় করে? তারা কি তাদের নিজের সন্তানদের কাছ থেকে কর আদায় করে, না বাইরের লোকেদের কাছ থেকে কর আদায় করে?’
KJV : He saith, Yes. And when he was come into the house, Jesus prevented him, saying, {SCJ}What thinkest thou, Simon? of whom do the kings of the earth take custom or tribute? of their own children, or of strangers? {SCJ.}
YLT : And when he came into the house, Jesus anticipated him, saying, `What thinkest thou, Simon? the kings of the earth -- from whom do they receive custom or poll-tax? from their sons or from the strangers?`
RV : He saith, Yea. And when he came into the house, Jesus spake first to him, saying, What thinkest thou, Simon? the kings of the earth, from whom do they receive toll or tribute? from their sons, or from strangers?
RSV : He said, "Yes." And when he came home, Jesus spoke to him first, saying, "What do you think, Simon? From whom do kings of the earth take toll or tribute? From their sons or from others?"

ERVEN : Peter answered, "Yes, he does." Peter went into the house where Jesus was. Before Peter could speak, Jesus said to him, "The kings on the earth get different kinds of taxes from people. But who are those who pay the taxes? Are they the king's children? Or do other people pay the taxes? What do you think?"

BNV : কিন্তু আমরা য়েন ঐ কর আদায়কারীদের কোনরকম অপমান বোধের কারণ না হই , সেই জন্য তুমি হ্রদে গিয়ে বঁড়শী ফেল আর প্রথমে য়ে মাছটা উঠবে তা নিয়ে এসে সেই মাছটার মুখ খুললে তুমি একটি মুদ্রা পাবে, ওটা দিয়ে আমার ও তোমার দেয় কর মিটিয়ে দিও৷’
KJV : {SCJ}Notwithstanding, lest we should offend them, go thou to the sea, and cast an hook, and take up the fish that first cometh up; and when thou hast opened his mouth, thou shalt find a piece of money: that take, and give unto them for me and thee. {SCJ.}
