BNV : এরপর তাঁরা জেরুশালেমের কাছাকাছি পৌঁছে জৈতুন পর্বতমালায় বৈত্‌ফগী ও বৈথনিযা গ্রামে এলেন৷ সেখানে পৌঁছে তিনি তাঁর শিষ্যদের মধ্যে দুজনকে আগে পাঠিয়ে দিলেন৷
KJV : And when they came nigh to Jerusalem, unto Bethphage and Bethany, at the mount of Olives, he sendeth forth two of his disciples,

ERVEN : Jesus and his followers were coming closer to Jerusalem. They came to the towns of Bethphage and Bethany at the Mount of Olives. There Jesus sent two of his followers to do something.

BNV : তিনি তাঁদের বললেন, ‘তোমরা তোমাদের সামনের ঐ গ্রামে যাও, গ্রামে ঢুকেই দেখবে একটা বাচ্চা গাধা বাঁধা আছে, যাতে কেউ কখনও বসে নি৷ সেই গাধাটাকে খুলে আন৷
KJV : And saith unto them, {SCJ}Go your way into the village over against you: and as soon as ye be entered into it, ye shall find a colt tied, whereon never man sat; loose him, and bring [him. ]{SCJ.}
YLT : and saith to them, `Go away to the village that is over-against you, and immediately, entering into it, ye shall find a colt tied, on which no one of men hath sat, having loosed it, bring [it]:

ESV : and said to them, "Go into the village in front of you, and immediately as you enter it you will find a colt tied, on which no one has ever sat. Untie it and bring it.
ERVEN : He said to them, "Go to the town you can see there. When you enter it, you will find a young donkey that no one has ever ridden. Untie it and bring it here to me.

BNV : যদি কেউ তোমাদের জিজ্ঞাসা করে, ‘কেন তুমি গাধাটি খুলছ? তখন তাকে বলবে, ‘এটা প্রভুর কাজে লাগবে আর সে তখনই সেটা পাঠিয়ে দেবে৷’
KJV : {SCJ}And if any man say unto you, Why do ye this? say ye that the Lord hath need of him; and straightway he will send him hither. {SCJ.}
YLT : and if any one may say to you, Why do ye this? say ye that the lord hath need of it, and immediately he will send it hither.`
RV : And if any one say unto you, Why do ye this? say ye, The Lord hath need of him; and straightway he will send him back hither.
RSV : If any one says to you, `Why are you doing this?' say, `The Lord has need of it and will send it back here immediately.'"

ERVEN : If anyone asks you why you are taking the donkey, tell them, 'The Master needs it. He will send it back soon.'"

BNV : তাঁরা সেখানে গেলেন এবং দেখলেন দরজার কাছে রাস্তার ওপর একটা গাধা বাঁধা আছে৷ তখন তাঁরা দড়িটাকে খুলতে লাগলেন,
KJV : And they went their way, and found the colt tied by the door without in a place where two ways met; and they loose him.
YLT : And they went away, and found the colt tied at the door without, by the two ways, and they loose it,

ERVEN : The followers went into the town. They found a young donkey tied in the street near the door of a house, and they untied it.

BNV : আর কিছু লোক সেখানে দাঁড়িয়েছিল, তারা তাঁদের বলল, ‘তোমরা কি করছ, গাধার বাচ্চাটাকে খুলছ কেন?’
KJV : And certain of them that stood there said unto them, What do ye, loosing the colt?
YLT : and certain of those standing there said to them, `What do ye -- loosing the colt?`
RV : And certain of them that stood there said unto them, What do ye, loosing the colt?
RSV : And those who stood there said to them, "What are you doing, untying the colt?"

ERVEN : Some people were standing there and saw this. They asked, "What are you doing? Why are you untying that donkey?"

BNV : তাতে যীশু য়েমন বলেছিলেন, তাঁরা সেইমতো উত্তর দিলেন, তখন লোকেরা আর কিছু বলল না, গাধার বাচ্চাটাকে নিয়ে য়েতে দিল৷
KJV : And they said unto them even as Jesus had commanded: and they let them go.
YLT : and they said to them as Jesus commanded, and they suffered them.

ERVEN : The followers answered the way Jesus told them, and the people let them take the donkey.

BNV : তাঁরা গাধার বাচ্চাটাকে যীশুর কাছে নিয়ে এসে গাধাটির উপরে তাদের জামাকাপড় পেতে দিলেন এবং যীশু তার উপরে বসলেন৷
KJV : And they brought the colt to Jesus, and cast their garments on him; and he sat upon him.
YLT : And they brought the colt unto Jesus, and did cast upon it their garments, and he sat upon it,

BNV : তখন অনেকে তাদের জামাকাপড় রাস্তায় পেতে দিল আর অন্য়েরা মাঠ থেকে পাতা ঝরা গাছের ডালপালা কেটে এনে রাস্তার উপরে ছড়িয়ে দিল৷
KJV : And many spread their garments in the way: and others cut down branches off the trees, and strawed [them] in the way.
YLT : and many did spread their garments in the way, and others were cutting down branches from the trees, and were strewing in the way.
RV : And many spread their garments upon the way; and others branches, which they had cut from the fields.

ERVEN : Many people spread their coats on the road for Jesus. Others cut branches in the fields and spread the branches on the road.

BNV : আর য়ে সমস্ত লোক আগে এবং পেছনে যাচ্ছিল তারা চেঁচিয়ে বলতে লাগল,‘হোশান্না!‘ধন্য তিনি, যিনি প্রভুর নামে আসছেন!’গীতসংহিতা 1
KJV : And they that went before, and they that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna; Blessed [is] he that cometh in the name of the Lord:
YLT : And those going before and those following were crying out, saying, `Hosanna! blessed [is] he who is coming in the name of the Lord;

ERVEN : Some of them were walking ahead of Jesus. Others were walking behind him. Everyone shouted, "'Praise Him!' 'Welcome! God bless the one who comes in the name of the Lord!'

BNV : আমাদের পিতৃপুরুষ দাযূদের য়ে রাজ্য আসছে, তা ধন্য! হোশান্না! স্বর্গে ঈশ্বরের মহিমা হোক্৷’
KJV : Blessed [be] the kingdom of our father David, that cometh in the name of the Lord: Hosanna in the highest.
YLT : blessed is the coming reign, in the name of the Lord, of our father David; Hosanna in the highest.`
RV : Blessed {cf15i is} the kingdom that cometh, {cf15i the kingdom} of our father David: Hosanna in the highest.
RSV : Blessed is the kingdom of our father David that is coming! Hosanna in the highest!"

BNV : তিনি জেরুশালেমে ঢুকে মন্দিরে গেলেন৷ সেখানে চারদিকের সমস্ত কিছু লক্ষ্য করলেন; কিন্তু সন্ধ্যে হয়ে যাওযায় বারোজন প্রেরিতকে সঙ্গে নিয়ে তিনি বৈথনিযাতে ফিরে গেলেন৷
KJV : And Jesus entered into Jerusalem, and into the temple: and when he had looked round about upon all things, and now the eventide was come, he went out unto Bethany with the twelve.
YLT : And Jesus entered into Jerusalem, and into the temple, and having looked round on all things, it being now evening, he went forth to Bethany with the twelve.

BNV : পরের দিন বৈথনিযা ছেড়ে আসার সময় তাঁর খিদে পেল৷
KJV : And on the morrow, when they were come from Bethany, he was hungry:
YLT : And on the morrow, they having come forth from Bethany, he hungered,

BNV : দূর থেকে তিনি একটি পাতায় ভরা ডুমুর গাছ দেখে তাতে কিছু ফল পাবেন ভেবে তার কাছে গেলেন, কিন্তু গাছটির কাছে গেলে পাতা ছাড়া আর কিছুই দেখতে পেলেন না; কারণ তখন ডুমুর ফলের মরশুম নয়৷
KJV : And seeing a fig tree afar off having leaves, he came, if haply he might find any thing thereon: and when he came to it, he found nothing but leaves; for the time of figs was not [yet. ]
YLT : and having seen a fig-tree afar off having leaves, he came, if perhaps he shall find anything in it, and having come to it, he found nothing except leaves, for it was not a time of figs,
RV : And seeing a fig tree afar off having leaves, he came, if haply he might find anything thereon: and when he came to it, he found nothing but leaves; for it was not the season of figs.

ERVEN : He saw a fig tree with leaves. So he went to the tree to see if it had any figs growing on it. But he found no figs on the tree. There were only leaves, because it was not the right time for figs to grow.

BNV : তখন তিনি গাছটিকে বললেন, ‘এখন থেকে তোমার ফল আর কেউ কোন দিন খাবে না!’ এই কথা তাঁর শিষ্যেরা শুনতে পেলেন৷
KJV : And Jesus answered and said unto it, {SCJ}No man eat fruit of thee hereafter for ever.{SCJ.} And his disciples heard [it.]
YLT : and Jesus answering said to it, `No more from thee -- to the age -- may any eat fruit;` and his disciples were hearing.

ERVEN : So Jesus said to the tree, "People will never eat fruit from you again." His followers heard him say this.

BNV : পরে তাঁরা জেরুশালেমে গেলেন; আর মন্দিরের মধ্যে ঢুকে যাঁরা কেনা বেচা করছিল সেইসব ব্যবসাযীদের বের করে দিলেন৷ তিনি পোদ্দারদের টেবিল এবং যাঁরা পায়রা বিক্রি করছিল তাদের আসন উল্টে দিলেন৷
KJV : And they come to Jerusalem: and Jesus went into the temple, and began to cast out them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves;
YLT : And they come to Jerusalem, and Jesus having gone into the temple, began to cast forth those selling and buying in the temple, and the tables of the money-changers and the seats of those selling the doves, he overthrew,

ERVEN : Jesus went to Jerusalem and entered the Temple area. He began driving out the people who were buying and selling things there. He turned over the tables that belonged to those who were exchanging different kinds of money. And he turned over the benches of those who were selling doves.

BNV : তিনি মন্দিরের মধ্যে দিয়ে কাউকে কোন জিনিস নিয়ে য়েতে দিলেন না৷
KJV : And would not suffer that any man should carry [any] vessel through the temple.
YLT : and he did not suffer that any might bear a vessel through the temple,
RV : and he would not suffer that any man should carry a vessel through the temple.
RSV : and he would not allow any one to carry anything through the temple.

BNV : তিনি শিক্ষা দিয়ে তাদের বললেন, ‘এটা কি লেখা নেই ‘আমার মন্দিরকে সমগ্র জাতির উপাসনা গৃহ বলা হবে?”কিন্তু তোমরা এটাকে দস্য়ুদের আস্তানায় পরিণত করেছ৷’
KJV : And he taught, saying unto them, {SCJ}Is it not written, My house shall be called of all nations the house of prayer? but ye have made it a den of thieves. {SCJ.}
YLT : and he was teaching, saying to them, `Hath it not been written -- My house a house of prayer shall be called for all the nations, and ye did make it a den of robbers?`

ERVEN : Then Jesus began teaching the people and said, "It is written in the Scriptures, 'My Temple will be called a house of prayer for all nations.' But you have changed it into a 'hiding place for thieves.' "

BNV : প্রধান যাজকরা এবং ব্যবস্থার শিক্ষকরা এই কথা শুনে তাঁকে হত্যা করার রাস্তা খুঁজতে থাকল, কারণ তারা তাঁকে ভয় করত, য়েহেতু তাঁর শিক্ষায় সমগ্র লোক আশ্চর্য হয়ে গিয়েছিল
KJV : And the scribes and chief priests heard [it,] and sought how they might destroy him: for they feared him, because all the people was astonished at his doctrine.

ERVEN : When the leading priests and the teachers of the law heard what Jesus said, they began trying to find a way to kill him. They were afraid of him because all the people were amazed at his teaching.

BNV : সেই দিন সন্ধ্যে হলেই যীশু ও তাঁর শিষ্যরা মহানগরীর বাইরে গেলেন৷
KJV : And when even was come, he went out of the city.
YLT : and when evening came, he was going forth without the city.

BNV : পরের দিন সকালে য়েতে য়েতে তাঁরা দেখলেন, সেই ডুমুর গাছটি মূল থেকে শুকিয়ে গেছে৷
KJV : And in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots.

ERVEN : The next morning Jesus was walking with his followers. They saw the fig tree that he spoke to the day before. The tree was dry and dead, even the roots.

BNV : পিতর আগের দিনের কথা মনে করে তাঁকে বললেন, ‘হে গুরু, দেখুন, আপনি য়ে ডুমুর গাছটিকে অভিশাপ দিয়েছিলেন সেটি শুকিয়ে গেছে৷’
KJV : And Peter calling to remembrance saith unto him, Master, behold, the fig tree which thou cursedst is withered away.
YLT : and Peter having remembered saith to him, `Rabbi, lo, the fig-tree that thou didst curse is dried up.`
RV : And Peter calling to remembrance saith unto him, Rabbi, behold, the fig tree which thou cursedst is withered away.

ERVEN : Peter remembered the tree and said to Jesus, "Teacher, look! Yesterday, you told that fig tree to die. Now it is dry and dead!"

BNV : তখন যীশু বললেন, ‘ঈশ্বরে বিশ্বাস রাখ!
KJV : And Jesus answering saith unto them, {SCJ}Have faith in God. {SCJ.}

BNV : আমি তোমাদের সত্যি বলছি, কেউ যদি ঐ পাহাড়কে বলে, ‘উপরে যাও এবং সমুদ্রে গিয়ে পড়,’ আর তার মনে কোন সন্দেহ না থাকে এবং সে যদি বিশ্বাস করে য়ে সে যা বলছে তা হবে, তাহলে ঈশ্বর তার জন্য তাই করবেন৷
KJV : {SCJ}For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. {SCJ.}
YLT : for verily I say to you, that whoever may say to this mount, Be taken up, and be cast into the sea, and may not doubt in his heart, but may believe that the things that he saith do come to pass, it shall be to him whatever he may say.
RV : Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou taken up and cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that what he saith cometh to pass; he shall have it.
RSV : Truly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, `Be taken up and cast into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will come to pass, it will be done for him.
ASV : Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou taken up and cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that what he saith cometh to pass; he shall have it.
ESV : Truly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, 'Be taken up and thrown into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will come to pass, it will be done for him.
ERVEN : The truth is, you can say to this mountain, 'Go, mountain, fall into the sea.' And if you have no doubts in your mind and believe that what you say will happen, then God will do it for you.

BNV : এইজন্য আমি তোমাদের বলি, তোমরা যা কিছুর জন্য প্রার্থনা কর, যদি বিশ্বাস কর য়ে, তোমরা তা পেয়েছ, তাহলে তোমাদের জন্য তা হবেই৷
KJV : {SCJ}Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive [them,] and ye shall have [them. ]{SCJ.}
YLT : Because of this I say to you, all whatever -- praying -- ye do ask, believe that ye receive, and it shall be to you.
RV : Therefore I say unto you, All things whatsoever ye pray and ask for, believe that ye have received them, and ye shall have them.
RSV : Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.

ESV : Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.
ERVEN : So I tell you to ask for what you want in prayer. And if you believe that you have received those things, then they will be yours.

YLT : But if we may say, From men,` -- they were fearing the people, for all were holding John that he was indeed a prophet;
