BNV : “এখন ওহে যাজকরা, এই নিয়ম তোমাদের জন্য|
KJV : And now, O ye priests, this commandment [is] for you.
YLT : And now, to you [is] this charge, O priests,

BNV : যদি তোমরা এর অবাধ্য হও এবং আমাকে সম্মান করার এই রয়োজনীয় ব্যাপারটিকে যদি গুরুত্ব না দাও তবে আমি তোমাদের বিরুদ্ধে অভিশাপ পাঠাব, সর্বশক্তিমান প্রভু এই কথা বলেন| তোমরা আশীর্বাদ দিলে আমি তা অভিশাপে পরিণত করব, আর আমি তাদের অভিশাপ দিয়েছি কারণ তোমরা এই বিষযটার ওপর গুরুত্ব দাও না|”
KJV : If ye will not hear, and if ye will not lay [it] to heart, to give glory unto my name, saith the LORD of hosts, I will even send a curse upon you, and I will curse your blessings: yea, I have cursed them already, because ye do not lay [it] to heart.
YLT : If ye hearken not, and if ye lay [it] not to heart, To give honour to My name, said Jehovah of Hosts, I have sent against you the curse, And I have cursed your blessings, Yea, I have also cursed it, Because ye are not laying [it] to heart.

ESV : If you will not listen, if you will not take it to heart to give honor to my name, says the LORD of hosts, then I will send the curse upon you and I will curse your blessings. Indeed, I have already cursed them, because you do not lay it to heart.
ERVEN : Listen to me! Pay attention to what I say. Show honor to my name. If you don't respect my name, bad things will happen to you. You will say blessings, but they will become curses. I will make bad things happen because you don't show respect for my name." This is what the Lord All-Powerful said.

BNV : “দেখ, আমি তোমার উত্তরপুরুষদের শাস্তি দেব| আমি তোমাদের মুখে উত্সব নৈবেদ্য থেকে জন্তুদের বীষ্ঠা লেপে দেবো এবং তোমাদের ওগুলোর সঙ্গে ছুঁড়ে ফেলে দেওয়া হবে|
KJV : Behold, I will corrupt your seed, and spread dung upon your faces, [even] the dung of your solemn feasts; and [one] shall take you away with it.
YLT : Lo, I am pushing away before you the seed, And have scattered dung before your faces, Dung of your festivals, And it hath taken you away with it.
RV : Behold, I will rebuke the seed for your sake, and will spread dung upon your faces, even the dung of your sacrifices; and ye shall be taken away with it.
RSV : Behold, I will rebuke your offspring, and spread dung upon your faces, the dung of your offerings, and I will put you out of my presence.

ERVEN : "Look, I will punish your descendants. During the festivals, you priests offer sacrifices to me. You take the dung and inside parts from the dead animals and throw them away. But I will smear the dung on your faces, and you will be thrown away with it!

BNV : তখন তোমরা জানবে য়ে আমি এই আদেশ দিচ্ছি যাতে লেবির সঙ্গে আমার চুক্তি চলতে থাকে|” সর্বশক্তিমান প্রভু এই কথা বলেন|
KJV : And ye shall know that I have sent this commandment unto you, that my covenant might be with Levi, saith the LORD of hosts.
YLT : And ye have known that I have sent unto you this charge, For My covenant being with Levi, Said Jehovah of Hosts.
RV : And ye shall know that I have sent this commandment unto you, that my covenant might be with Levi, saith the LORD of hosts.
RSV : So shall you know that I have sent this command to you, that my covenant with Levi may hold, says the LORD of hosts.

ERVEN : Then you will learn why I am giving you this command. I am telling you these things so that my agreement with Levi will continue." This is what the Lord All-Powerful said.

BNV : প্রভু বলেছেন, “লেবির সঙ্গে আমার চুক্তি ছিল জীবন ও শান্তির চুক্তি| সে আমায সম্মান করে এবং আমার নামে ভীত হয|
KJV : My covenant was with him of life and peace; and I gave them to him [for] the fear wherewith he feared me, and was afraid before my name.

BNV : লেবি সত্য শিক্ষা দিয়েছে| সে কখনও মন্দ জিনিস শেখায় নি| সে ছিল সত্‌ এবং শান্তি ভালবাসত এবং সে অনেক লোককে মন্দ কাজ করা থেকে ফিরিযে এনেছিল|
KJV : The law of truth was in his mouth, and iniquity was not found in his lips: he walked with me in peace and equity, and did turn many away from iniquity.

ERVEN : He taught the true teachings and didn't teach lies. Levi was honest, and he loved peace. He followed me and saved many people from being punished for the evil things they did.

BNV : আমি এসব বলি কারণ লোকে জ্ঞানের প্রয়োজনে যাজক খোঁজে আর ঈশ্বরের আজ্ঞা শিক্ষা করতে তারা তার কাছে যায়, কারণ সেই তো ঈশ্বরের বার্তাবাহক|”
KJV : For the priest’s lips should keep knowledge, and they should seek the law at his mouth: for he [is] the messenger of the LORD of hosts.
YLT : For the lips of a priest preserve knowledge, And law they do seek from his mouth, For a messenger of Jehovah of Hosts he [is].

BNV : কিন্তু প্রভু বলেছেন: “যাজকরা আমার পথ থেকে সরে গিয়েছিল এবং অনেক লোককে বিধি অস্বীকার করতে বাধ্য করেছে| তোমরা লেবির সঙ্গে আমার চুক্তি ধ্বংস করেছ|” সর্বশক্তিমান প্রভু এই কথা বলেন|
KJV : But ye are departed out of the way; ye have caused many to stumble at the law; ye have corrupted the covenant of Levi, saith the LORD of hosts.

BNV : “য়েহেতু তোমরা আমার পথগুলি অনুসরণ করনি এবং আমার নীতি শিক্ষায় পক্ষপাতিত্ব করেছ সেহেতু আমি তোমাদের অস্বীকৃত এবং অপমানিত করাব!”
KJV : Therefore have I also made you contemptible and base before all the people, according as ye have not kept my ways, but have been partial in the law.
YLT : And I also, I have made you despised and low before all the people, Because ye are not keeping My ways, And are accepting persons in the law.

BNV : আমাদের সকলেরই সেই এক পিতা| একই ঈশ্বর আমাদের তৈরী করেছেন| তাহলে কেন লোকে তাদের ভাইদের ঠকিযে ঈশ্বর য়ে চুক্তি তাদের পূর্বপুরুষদের সঙ্গে করেছিলেন তাকে অসম্মান করে?
KJV : Have we not all one father? hath not one God created us? why do we deal treacherously every man against his brother, by profaning the covenant of our fathers?
YLT : Have we not all one father? Hath not our God prepared us? Wherefore do we deal treacherously, Each against his brother, To pollute the covenant of our fathers?

ERVEN : We all have the same father. The same God made every one of us. So why do people cheat their brothers? They show that they don't respect the agreement. They don't respect the agreement that our ancestors made with God.

BNV : যিহূদার লোকরা বিশ্বাসঘাতকদের মত ব্যবহার করেছিল| জেরুশালেম এবং ইস্রায়েলের লোকরা মারাত্মক জিনিষ করেছে| যিহূদার লোক ঈশ্বরের পবিত্র মন্দির, য়েটাকে ঈশ্বর ভালবাসতেন, নষ্ট করেছে| যিহূদার লোকরা বিদেশী রমনীদের বিয়ে করেছিল যারা বিদেশী দেবতা সমূহের অধিকারপ্রাপ্ত এবং ঐ সব বিদেশী দেবতাদের পূজো শুরু করেছিল|
KJV : Judah hath dealt treacherously, and an abomination is committed in Israel and in Jerusalem; for Judah hath profaned the holiness of the LORD which he loved, and hath married the daughter of a strange god.
YLT : Dealt treacherously hath Judah, And abomination hath been done in Israel, and in Jerusalem, For polluted hath Judah the holy thing of Jehovah, That He hath loved, and hath married the daughter of a strange god.

ERVEN : The people of Judah cheated other people. People in Jerusalem and Israel did terrible things. God loves the Temple, but the people in Judah didn't respect the Lord's holy Temple. The people of Judah began to worship a foreign goddess.

BNV : প্রভু যাকোবের পরিবার থেকে ঐ সমস্ত লোকদের সরিয়ে দেবেন| এমন কি যদিও সেই ব্যক্তি সর্বশক্তিমান প্রভুর উদ্দেশ্যে উপহার আনে|
KJV : The LORD will cut off the man that doeth this, the master and the scholar, out of the tabernacles of Jacob, and him that offereth an offering unto the LORD of hosts.
YLT : Cut off doth Jehovah the man who doth it, Tempter and tempted -- from the tents of Jacob, Even he who is bringing nigh a present to Jehovah of Hosts.
RV : The LORD will cut off to the man that doeth this him that waketh and him that answereth, out of the tents of Jacob, and him that offereth an offering unto the LORD of hosts.
RSV : May the LORD cut off from the tents of Jacob, for the man who does this, any to witness or answer, or to bring an offering to the LORD of hosts!

ESV : May the LORD cut off from the tents of Jacob, any descendant of the man who does this, who brings an offering to the LORD of hosts!
ERVEN : The Lord will remove them from Judah's family. They might bring gifts to the Lord All-Powerful—but it will not help.

BNV : তোমরা কাঁদতে পারো এবং প্রভুর বেদী চোখের জলে ঢেকে দিতে পারো, কিন্তু প্রভু তোমাদের উপহার গ্রহণ করবেন না এবং তোমরা যা কিছু আনো তাতে তিনি খুশী হবেন না|
KJV : And this have ye done again, covering the altar of the LORD with tears, with weeping, and with crying out, insomuch that he regardeth not the offering any more, or receiveth [it] with good will at your hand.
YLT : And this a second time ye do, Covering with tears the altar of Jehovah, With weeping and groaning, Because there is no more turning unto the present, Or receiving of a pleasing thing from your hand.
RV : And this again ye do: ye cover the altar of the LORD with tears, with weeping, and with sighing, insomuch that he regardeth not the offering any more, neither receiveth it with good will at your hand.

ERVEN : You can cry and cover the Lord's altar with tears, but the Lord will not accept your gifts. He will not be pleased with the things you bring to him.

BNV : আর তোমরা বলে থাকো, “এর কারণ কি?” কারণ তোমরা তোমাদের স্ত্রীর বিরুদ্ধে য়ে সব মন্দ কাজ করেছ তা প্রভু দেখেছেন| সেই স্ত্রী যদিও তোমার বিশ্বস্ত সঙ্গী ছিল এবং তোমার নিয়মের স্ত্রী ছিল তবু তুমি তার সঙ্গে প্রতারণা করেছ|
KJV : Yet ye say, Wherefore? Because the LORD hath been witness between thee and the wife of thy youth, against whom thou hast dealt treacherously: yet [is] she thy companion, and the wife of thy covenant.
YLT : And ye have said, `Wherefore?` Because Jehovah hath testified between thee And the wife of thy youth, That thou hast dealt treacherously against her, And she thy companion, and thy covenant-wife.
RV : Yet ye say, Wherefore? Because the LORD hath been witness between thee and the wife of thy youth, against whom thou hast dealt treacherously, though she is thy companion, and the wife of thy covenant.
RSV : You ask, "Why does he not?" Because the LORD was witness to the covenant between you and the wife of your youth, to whom you have been faithless, though she is your companion and your wife by covenant.

ESV : But you say, "Why does he not?" Because the LORD was witness between you and the wife of your youth, to whom you have been faithless, though she is your companion and your wife by covenant.
ERVEN : You ask, "Why are our gifts not accepted by the Lord?" It is because the Lord saw the evil things you did—he is a witness against you. He saw you cheat on your wife. You have been married to her since you were young. She was your girlfriend. Then you made your vows to each other—and she became your wife. {But you cheated on her.} 15God wants husbands and wives to become one body and one spirit. Why? So that they would have holy children and protect that spiritual unity. Don't cheat on your wife. She has been your wife from the time you were young.

BNV : ঈশ্বর চান য়ে স্বামী ও স্ত্রী একদেহ ও এক আত্মাবিশিষ্ট হোক| তবেই তাদের পবিত্র সন্তানসন্ততি হবে| সুতরাং সেই আত্মিক একাত্মতা রক্ষা কর| তোমার স্ত্রীকে ঠকিও না| সে তোমার য়ৌবনের স্ত্রী|
KJV : And did not he make one? Yet had he the residue of the spirit. And wherefore one? That he might seek a godly seed. Therefore take heed to your spirit, and let none deal treacherously against the wife of his youth.
YLT : And He did not make one [only], And He hath the remnant of the Spirit. And what [is] the one [alone]! He is seeking a godly seed. And ye have been watchful over your spirit, And with the wife of thy youth, None doth deal treacherously.

BNV : ইস্রায়েলের প্রভু ঈশ্বর বলেন, “আমি বিবাহ বিচ্ছেদ এবং পুরুষরা য়ে সমস্ত নিষ্ঠুর কাজ করে তা ঘৃণা করি|1 সুতরাং অবিশ্বস্ত হয়ো না, তোমাদের নিজ নিজ আত্মাকে সাবধানতাসহ রক্ষা কর|”
KJV : For the LORD, the God of Israel, saith that he hateth putting away: for [one] covereth violence with his garment, saith the LORD of hosts: therefore take heed to your spirit, that ye deal not treacherously.
YLT : For [I] hate sending away, said Jehovah, God of Israel, And He [who] hath covered violence with his clothing, said Jehovah of Hosts, And ye have been watchful over your spirit, And ye do not deal treacherously.
RV : For I hate putting away, saith the LORD, the God of Israel, and him that covereth his garment with violence, saith the LORD of hosts: therefore take heed to your spirit, that ye deal not treacherously.
RSV : "For I hate divorce, says the LORD the God of Israel, and covering one's garment with violence, says the LORD of hosts. So take heed to yourselves and do not be faithless."
ASV : For I hate putting away, saith Jehovah, the God of Israel, and him that covereth his garment with violence, saith Jehovah of hosts: therefore take heed to your spirit, that ye deal not treacherously.
ESV : "For the man who hates and divorces, says the LORD, the God of Israel, covers his garment with violence, says the LORD of hosts. So guard yourselves in your spirit, and do not be faithless."
ERVEN : The Lord, the God of Israel, says, "I hate divorce, and I hate the cruel things that men do. So protect your spiritual unity. Don't cheat on your wife."

BNV : তোমরা ভুল শিক্ষা দিয়েছ| সেই ভুল শিক্ষাগুলি প্রভুকে খুব ক্লান্ত করেছে| তোমরা শিখিয়েছ য়ে, য়ে সব ব্যক্তি কুকর্ম করে প্রভু তাদের ভালবাসেন| তোমরা বলছ য়ে ঈশ্বর মনে করেন সেই লোকরা ভালো এবং তোমরা শিখিয়েছ য়ে কুকর্ম করবার জন্য ঈশ্বর লোকদের শাস্তি দেন না|
KJV : Ye have wearied the LORD with your words. Yet ye say, Wherein have we wearied [him?] When ye say, Every one that doeth evil [is] good in the sight of the LORD, and he delighteth in them; or, Where [is] the God of judgment?
YLT : Ye have wearied Jehovah with your words, And ye have said: `In what have we wearied Him?` In your saying: `Every evil-doer [is] good in the eyes of Jehovah, And in them He is delighting,` Or, `Where [is] the God of judgment?`
RV : Ye have wearied the LORD with your words. Yet ye say, Wherein have we wearied him? In that ye say, Every one that doeth evil is good in the sight of the LORD, and he delighteth in them; or where is the God of judgment?

ESV : You have wearied the LORD with your words. But you say, "How have we wearied him?" By saying, "Everyone who does evil is good in the sight of the LORD, and he delights in them." Or by asking, "Where is the God of justice?"
ERVEN : You have taught wrong things, and it makes the Lord very sad. People were doing evil things, but you said that this pleased the Lord and that he accepted those things. And you taught that God does not punish people for the evil they do.
