BNV : অবীমেলকের মৃত্যুর পর ইস্রায়েলীয়দের বাঁচানোর জন্য ঈশ্বর আর একজন বিচারককে পাঠালেন| তার নাম তোলয| তার পিতার নাম পূযা| পূযার পিতার নাম দোদয| তোলয ইষাখর পরিবারগোষ্ঠী থেকে এসেছিল| থাকত শামীর শহরে| শহরটা ইফ্রয়িমের পাহাড়ের দেশে অবস্থিত|
KJV : And after Abimelech there arose to defend Israel Tola the son of Puah, the son of Dodo, a man of Issachar; and he dwelt in Shamir in mount Ephraim.
YLT : And there riseth after Abimelech, to save Israel, Tola son of Puah, son of Dodo, a man of Issachar, and he is dwelling in Shamir, in the hill-country of Ephraim,

ERVEN : After Abimelech died, God sent another judge to save the Israelites. His name was Tola. He was the son of Puah, who was the son of Dodo. Tola was from the tribe of Issachar and lived in the city of Shamir, in the hill country of Ephraim.

BNV : তোলয 23 বছর ধরে ইস্রায়েলবাসীদের বিচারক ছিল| মৃত্যুর পর তাকে শামীর শহরে কবর দেওয়া হয়েছিল|

ERVEN : Jair had 30 sons who rode 30 donkeys. These 30 sons controlled 30 towns in the area of Gilead. These towns are called the Towns of Jair to this very day.

BNV : প্রভুর দৃষ্টিতে যা মন্দ সেই পাপকর্মে আবার ইস্রায়েলবাসীরা রত হল| তারা বাল আর অষ্টারোতের মূর্ত্তির পূজা করতে লাগল| সেই সঙ্গে তারা অরাম, সীদোন, মোযাব, অম্মোন এবং পলেষ্টীয় দেবতাদের পূজা করত| ইস্রায়েল তাদের প্রকৃত প্রভুকে ত্যাগ করল আর তাঁর সেবা বন্ধ করল|
KJV : And the children of Israel did evil again in the sight of the LORD, and served Baalim, and Ashtaroth, and the gods of Syria, and the gods of Zidon, and the gods of Moab, and the gods of the children of Ammon, and the gods of the Philistines, and forsook the LORD, and served not him.

ERVEN : Again the Israelites did what the Lord said was wrong. They began worshiping the false gods Baal and the Ashtoreth. They also worshiped the gods of the people of Aram, the gods of the people of Sidon, the gods of the Moabites, the gods of the Ammonites, and the gods of the Philistines. The Israelites left the Lord and stopped serving him.

BNV : তাই প্রভু ইস্রায়েলীয়দের ওপর ক্রুদ্ধ হলেন| তিনি পলেষ্টীয় ও অম্মোনদের ইস্রায়েলবাসীদের পরাজিত করবার জন্য অনুমতি দিলেন|
KJV : And the anger of the LORD was hot against Israel, and he sold them into the hands of the Philistines, and into the hands of the children of Ammon.
YLT : and the anger of Jehovah burneth against Israel, and He selleth them into the hand of the Philistines, and into the hand of the Bene-Ammon,

BNV : ঐ বছরেই যর্দন নদীর পূর্বদিকে গিলিয়দ অঞ্চলে যেসব ইস্রায়েলীয় থাকত তাদের ওরা হারিযে দিল| এই অঞ্চলেই ছিল ইমোরীয়দের বাস| এইসব ইস্রায়েলবাসীরা 18 বছর দুঃখ কষ্ট ভোগ করেছিল|
KJV : And that year they vexed and oppressed the children of Israel: eighteen years, all the children of Israel that [were] on the other side Jordan in the land of the Amorites, which [is] in Gilead.

ERVEN : In that same year those people destroyed the Israelites who lived on the east side of the Jordan River, in the area of Gilead. That is the land where the Amorites had lived. The Israelites suffered for 18 years.

BNV : অম্মোনরা তারপর যর্দন পেরিযে যিহূদা, বিন্যামীন আর ইফ্রয়িমের বিরুদ্ধে যুদ্ধ করতে গেল| অম্মোনদের উত্‌পীড়নের কারণে ইস্রায়েলীয়দের প্রভূত দুঃখ কষ্ট ভোগ করতে হয়েছিল|
KJV : Moreover the children of Ammon passed over Jordan to fight also against Judah, and against Benjamin, and against the house of Ephraim; so that Israel was sore distressed.
YLT : And the Bene-Ammon pass over the Jordan to fight also against Judah, and against Benjamin, and against the house of Ephraim, and Israel hath great distress.

ERVEN : The Ammonites then went across the Jordan River to fight against the people of Judah, Benjamin, and Ephraim. The Ammonites brought many troubles to the Israelites.

BNV : এখন ইস্রায়েলীয়রা সাহায্যের জন্য প্রভুকে ডাকতে লাগল| তারা বলল, “হে ঈশ্বর, আমরা আপনার বিরুদ্ধে পাপ করেছি| আমরা আমাদের প্রভুকে ত্যাগ করে বালের মূর্ত্তি পূজা করেছি|”

BNV : প্রভু তাদের বললেন, “যখন মিশরীয়, ইমোরীয়, অম্মোনীয় এবং পলেষ্টীয় লোকরা তোমাদের মেরে ফেলছিল, তোমরা আমার কাছে এসে কেঁদেছিলে| আর আমি তোমাদের তাদের হাত থেকে রক্ষা করেছিলাম|
KJV : And the LORD said unto the children of Israel, [Did] not [I deliver you] from the Egyptians, and from the Amorites, from the children of Ammon, and from the Philistines?

ERVEN : The Lord answered the Israelites, "You cried to me when the Egyptians, the Amorites, the Ammonites, and the Philistines hurt you. I saved you from these people.

BNV : তারপর সীদোনীয, অমালেকীয় আর মাযোনীযরা যখন তোমাদের আক্রমণ করল, তখনও তোমাদের আমি বাঁচিয়েছি|
KJV : The Zidonians also, and the Amalekites, and the Maonites, did oppress you; and ye cried to me, and I delivered you out of their hand.

BNV : কিন্তু তারপর তোমরা আমাকে ছেড়ে অন্য দেবতাদের পূজায় মেতেছিলে| তাই এবার আর তোমাদের কথা শুনব না|
KJV : Yet ye have forsaken me, and served other gods: wherefore I will deliver you no more.

BNV : কিন্তু ইস্রায়েলবাসীরা প্রভুকে বলল, “আমরা পাপ করেছি| আপনি আমাদের প্রতি যা ইচ্ছা হয় করুন| কিন্তু প্রভু দয়া করুন, শুধুমাত্র আজকের জন্য আমাদের রক্ষা করুন| “
KJV : And the children of Israel said unto the LORD, We have sinned: do thou unto us whatsoever seemeth good unto thee; deliver us only, we pray thee, this day.
YLT : And the sons of Israel say unto Jehovah, `We have sinned, do Thou to us according to all that is good in Thine eyes; only deliver us, we pray Thee, this day.`

BNV : এই বলে তারা সমস্ত মূর্ত্তি ছুঁড়ে ফেলে দিল| আবার তারা প্রভু ঈশ্বরের উপাসনা করতে শুরু করল| অগত্যা প্রভু তাদের কষ্ট দেখলেন ও বেদনাবোধ করলেন|

BNV : গিলিয়দের নেতারা বলল, “অম্মোনদের বিরুদ্ধে যুদ্ধে যে আমাদের নেতৃত্ব দেবে সেই হবে গিলিয়দবাসীদের প্রধান নেতা|”
KJV : And the people [and] princes of Gilead said one to another, What man [is he] that will begin to fight against the children of Ammon? he shall be head over all the inhabitants of Gilead.
YLT : And the people -- heads of Gilead -- say one unto another, `Who [is] the man that doth begin to fight against the Bene-Ammon? he is for head to all inhabitants of Gilead.`
