KJV : The word that the LORD spake against Babylon [and] against the land of the Chaldeans by Jeremiah the prophet.

BNV : “সমস্ত জাতিগুলির মধ্যে এই ঘোষণা করে দাও! পুরো বার্তাটি পড়ে বল ‘বাবিলের জাতিকে বন্দী করা হবে| বেল মূর্ত্তি লজ্জিত হবে| মরোদক মূর্ত্তি খুবই ভীত হয়ে পড়বে| বাবিলের দেবমূর্ত্তিদের লজ্জায পড়তে হবে| তার দেবমূর্ত্তিগুলি প্রচণ্ড ভয় পাবে|’
KJV : Declare ye among the nations, and publish, and set up a standard; publish, [and] conceal not: say, Babylon is taken, Bel is confounded, Merodach is broken in pieces; her idols are confounded, her images are broken in pieces.
YLT : `Declare ye among nations, and sound, And lift up an ensign, sound, do not hide, Say ye: Captured hath been Babylon, Put to shame hath been Bel, Broken hath been Merodach, Put to shame have been her grievous things, Broken have been her idols.

ERVEN : "Announce this to all nations! Lift up a flag and announce the message! Speak the whole message and say, 'The nation of Babylon will be captured. The god Bel will be put to shame. The god Marduk will be very afraid. Babylon's idols will be put to shame. Her gods will be filled with terror.'

BNV : উত্তরের একটি জাতি বাবিলকে আক্রমণ করবে| এই জাতির আক্রমণে বাবিল এক শুষ্ক মরুভূমিতে পরিণত হবে| কোন মানুষই সেখানে বাস করতে পারবে না| শুধু মানুষই নয় জীবজন্তুরাও ঐ জায়গা ছেড়ে পালিয়ে আসবে|”
KJV : For out of the north there cometh up a nation against her, which shall make her land desolate, and none shall dwell therein: they shall remove, they shall depart, both man and beast.
YLT : For come up against her hath a nation from the north, It maketh her land become a desolation, And there is not an inhabitant in it. From man even unto beast, They have moved, they have gone.

ERVEN : A nation from the north will attack Babylon. That nation will make Babylon like an empty desert. No one will live there. Both men and animals will run away."

BNV : প্রভু বললেন, “ঐ সময়ে ইস্রায়েল ও যিহূদার অধিবাসীরা একত্র মিলিত হবে| কাঁদতে কাঁদতে লোকেরা একত্রে খুঁজে ফিরবে প্রভু তাদের ঈশ্বরকে|
KJV : In those days, and in that time, saith the LORD, the children of Israel shall come, they and the children of Judah together, going and weeping: they shall go, and seek the LORD their God.
YLT : In those days, and at that time, An affirmation of Jehovah, Come in do sons of Israel, They and sons of Judah together, Going on and weeping they go, And Jehovah their God they seek.

ERVEN : The Lord says, "At that time the people of Israel and the people of Judah will be together. They will cry and cry together, and together, they will go look for the Lord their God.

BNV : ঐসব লোকরা সিয়োনে যাওয়ার পথ জানতে চাইবে| তারপর তারা সিয়োনের উদ্দেশ্যে রওনা হবে| য়েতে য়েতে তারা একে অপরের উদ্দেশ্যে বলবে, ‘এস, আমরা প্রভুর সঙ্গে মিলিত হই| এসো, আমরা এক চুক্তি করি যা চিরকাল স্থায়ী হবে| একটা চুক্তি করা যাক যা আমরা কখনও ভুলব না|’
KJV : They shall ask the way to Zion with their faces thitherward, [saying,] Come, and let us join ourselves to the LORD in a perpetual covenant [that] shall not be forgotten.
YLT : [To] Zion they ask the way, Thitherward [are] their faces: Come in, and we are joined unto Jehovah, A covenant age-during -- not forgotten.
RV : They shall inquire concerning Zion with their faces thitherward, {cf15i saying}, Come ye, and join yourselves to the LORD in an everlasting covenant that shall not be forgotten.

ERVEN : They will ask how to go to Zion. They will start to go in that direction. They will say, 'Come, let us join ourselves to the Lord. Let's make an agreement that will last forever. Let's make an agreement that we will never forget.'

BNV : “আমরা লোকরা হারিযে যাওয়া মেষের মতো| তাদের মেষপালকরা (নেতারা) তাদের ভুলপথে চালিত করেছে| নানা পাহাড়ে পর্বতমালায় তাদের পথহারা করেছে| লোকরা উদভ্রান্তের মতো এক পর্বত থেকে অন্য পর্বতে ভ্রমণ করেছে| তারা তাদের বিশ্রামের জায়গা ভুলে গিয়েছে|
KJV : My people hath been lost sheep: their shepherds have caused them to go astray, they have turned them away [on] the mountains: they have gone from mountain to hill, they have forgotten their restingplace.
YLT : A perishing flock hath My people been, Their shepherds have caused them to err, [To] the mountains causing them to go back, From mountain unto hill they have gone, They have forgotten their crouching-place.
RV : My people hath been lost sheep: their shepherds have caused them to go astray, they have turned them away on the mountains: they have gone from mountain to hill, they have forgotten their resting place.

ERVEN : "My people have been like lost sheep. Their shepherds led them the wrong way and made them wander around in the mountains and hills. They forgot where their resting place was.

BNV : যারা আমার লোকদের দেখেছে তারাই তাদের আঘাত করেছে| এবং ঐসব শএুরা বলেছে, ‘আমরা মোটেই অন্যায় করিনি|’ ঐসব লোকরা প্রভুর বিরুদ্ধে পাপ কাজ করেছে| এই প্রভুই তাদের সত্যিকারের বিশ্রামস্থল| এই প্রভুই তাদের ঈশ্বর যা তাদের পিতারাও বিশ্বাস করত|
KJV : All that found them have devoured them: and their adversaries said, We offend not, because they have sinned against the LORD, the habitation of justice, even the LORD, the hope of their fathers.
YLT : All finding them have devoured them, And their adversaries have said: We are not guilty, Because that they sinned against Jehovah, The habitation of righteousness, And the hope of their fathers -- Jehovah.
RV : All that found them have devoured them: and their adversaries said, We offend not, because they have sinned against the LORD, the habitation of justice, even the LORD, the hope of their fathers.
RSV : All who found them have devoured them, and their enemies have said, `We are not guilty, for they have sinned against the LORD, their true habitation, the LORD, the hope of their fathers.'

ERVEN : Whoever found my people hurt them. And those enemies said, 'We did nothing wrong.' Those people sinned against the Lord, their true resting place. He was the God who their fathers trusted in.

BNV : “বাবিল ছেড়ে পালিয়ে এস| বাবিলদের দেশ ত্যাগ কর| এবং পালের আগুযান ছাগলের মতো হও| (প্রকৃত নেতার মতো জনগণকে নেতৃত্ব দাও|)
KJV : Remove out of the midst of Babylon, and go forth out of the land of the Chaldeans, and be as the he goats before the flocks.
YLT : Move ye from the midst of Babylon, And from the land of the Chaldeans go out. And be as he-goats before a flock.

BNV : আমি উত্তরে অনেক তৃজাতিকে একত্রিত করব| এই মিলিত জাতির দল বাবিলের বিরুদ্ধে যুদ্ধ করতে প্রস্তুত হবে| উত্তর দিকের লোকরাই বাবিলের দখল নেবে| ঐ সব জাতির লোকরা বাবিলের দিকে অনেক তীর ছুঁড়বে| ঐ সব তীরগুলি যুদ্ধক্ষেত্র থেকে খালি হাতে ফিরে না আসা সৈন্যদের মতো হবে| অর্থাত্‌ প্রতিটি তীরই তার লক্ষ্যবস্তুকে আঘাত করবে|
KJV : For, lo, I will raise and cause to come up against Babylon an assembly of great nations from the north country: and they shall set themselves in array against her; from thence she shall be taken: their arrows [shall be] as of a mighty expert man; none shall return in vain.
YLT : For, lo, I am stirring up, And am causing to come up against Babylon, An assembly of great nations from a land of the north, And they have set in array against her, From thence she is captured, Its arrow -- as a skilful hero -- returneth not empty,
RV : For, lo, I will stir up and cause to come up against Babylon an assembly of great nations from the north country: and they shall set themselves in array against her; from thence she shall be taken: their arrows shall be as of an expert mighty man; none shall return in vain.
RSV : For behold, I am stirring up and bringing against Babylon a company of great nations, from the north country; and they shall array themselves against her; from there she shall be taken. Their arrows are like a skilled warrior who does not return empty-handed.

ERVEN : I will bring many nations together from the north. This group of nations will get ready for war against Babylon. Babylon will be captured by people from the north. Those nations will shoot many arrows at Babylon. Their arrows will be like soldiers who don't come back from war with their hands empty.

BNV : শএুরা কল্দীয লোকদের সমস্ত ধনসম্পদ নিয়ে নেবে| সৈন্যরা যা খুশী তাই নেবে|” প্রভু এইগুলি বললেন|
KJV : And Chaldea shall be a spoil: all that spoil her shall be satisfied, saith the LORD.
YLT : And Chaldea hath been for a spoil, All her spoilers are satisfied, An affirmation of Jehovah.
RV : And Chaldea shall be a spoil: all that spoil her shall be satisfied, saith the LORD.
RSV : Chaldea shall be plundered; all who plunder her shall be sated, says the LORD.
ASV : And Chaldea shall be a prey: all that prey upon her shall be satisfied, saith Jehovah.
ESV : Chaldea shall be plundered; all who plunder her shall be sated, declares the LORD.
ERVEN : The enemy will take all the wealth from the Chaldeans. The soldiers will take all they want." This is what the Lord said.

BNV : “বাবিল তোমরা উল্লসিত এবং খুশী| তোমরা আমার দেশ অধিকার করেছ| শস্য ক্ষেত্রগুলিতে ছোট ছোট গরুর মত তোমরা চারিদিকে নৃত্য করে বেড়াচ্ছ| তোমাদের উল্লাস য়েন ঘোড়ার সুখী ডাকের মতো|”
KJV : Because ye were glad, because ye rejoiced, O ye destroyers of mine heritage, because ye are grown fat as the heifer at grass, and bellow as bulls;
YLT : Because thou rejoicest, because thou exultest, O spoilers of Mine inheritance, Because thou increasest as a heifer [at] the tender grass, And dost cry aloud as bulls,
RV : Because ye are glad, because ye rejoice, O ye that plunder mine heritage, because ye are wanton as an heifer that treadeth out {cf15i the corn}, and neigh as strong horses;
RSV : "Though you rejoice, though you exult, O plunderers of my heritage, though you are wanton as a heifer at grass, and neigh like stallions,
ASV : Because ye are glad, because ye rejoice, O ye that plunder my heritage, because ye are wanton as a heifer that treadeth out the grain, and neigh as strong horses;
ESV : "Though you rejoice, though you exult, O plunderers of my heritage, though you frolic like a heifer in the pasture, and neigh like stallions,
ERVEN : "Babylon, you are excited and happy. You took my land. You dance around like a young cow that got into the grain. Your laughter is like the happy sounds that horses make.

BNV : “এখন তোমার মা হতবুদ্ধি হয়ে যাবে| য়ে মা তোমার জন্মদাত্রী সে বিব্রত হবে| বাবিল সমস্ত জাতিগুলির মধ্যে কম গুরুত্বপূর্ণ হবে| তার অবস্থা হবে শুষ্ক, পরিত্যক্ত মরুভূমির মতো|
KJV : Your mother shall be sore confounded; she that bare you shall be ashamed: behold, the hindermost of the nations [shall be] a wilderness, a dry land, and a desert.
YLT : Ashamed hath been your mother greatly, Confounded hath she been that bare you, Lo, the hindermost of nations [is] a wilderness, A dry land, and a desert.
RV : your mother shall be sore ashamed; she that bare you shall be confounded: behold, she shall be the hindermost of the nations, a wilderness, a dry land, and a desert.
RSV : your mother shall be utterly shamed, and she who bore you shall be disgraced. Lo, she shall be the last of the nations, a wilderness dry and desert.
ASV : your mother shall be utterly put to shame; she that bare you shall be confounded: behold, she shall be the hindermost of the nations, a wilderness, a dry land, and a desert.
ESV : your mother shall be utterly shamed, and she who bore you shall be disgraced. Behold, she shall be the last of the nations, a wilderness, a dry land, and a desert.
ERVEN : Now your mother will be very ashamed. The woman who gave you birth will be embarrassed. Babylon will be the least important of all the nations. She will be an empty, dry desert.

BNV : প্রভু তাঁর রোধ প্রকাশ করবেন| ফলে কোন মানুষই সেখানে বাস করতে পারবে না| বাবিল পুরোপুরি পরিত্যক্ত হবে| “বাবিলের ওপর দিয়ে যারাই যাবে তারাই ভীতসন্ত্রস্ত হয়ে পড়বে| বাবিলের ধ্বংসস্তূপ দেখে প্রত্যেকেই মাথা নাড়বে|
KJV : Because of the wrath of the LORD it shall not be inhabited, but it shall be wholly desolate: every one that goeth by Babylon shall be astonished, and hiss at all her plagues.
YLT : Because of the wrath of Jehovah it is not inhabited, And it hath been a desolation -- all of it. Every passer by at Babylon is astonished, And doth hiss because of all her plagues.
RV : Because of the wrath of the LORD it shall not be inhabited, but it shall be wholly desolate: every one that goeth by Babylon shall be astonished, and hiss at all her plagues.

ERVEN : The Lord will show his anger, so no one will live there. Babylon will be completely empty. Everyone who passes by Babylon will be afraid. They will shake their heads when they see how badly it has been destroyed.

BNV : “বাবিলের বিরুদ্ধে যুদ্ধের জন্য প্রস্তুত হও| তীরন্দাজ সৈন্যরা বাবিলের দিকে তীর ছোঁড়| একটা তীরও রেখে দিও না| কারণ বাবিল প্রভুর বিরুদ্ধে পাপ কাজ করেছে|”
KJV : Put yourselves in array against Babylon round about: all ye that bend the bow, shoot at her, spare no arrows: for she hath sinned against the LORD.
YLT : Set yourselves in array against Babylon round about, All ye treading a bow, Shoot at her, have no pity on the arrow, For against Jehovah she hath sinned.

ERVEN : "Prepare for war against Babylon. All you soldiers with bows, shoot your arrows at Babylon. Don't save any of your arrows. Babylon has sinned against the Lord.

BNV : বাবিলকে চারিদিক থেকে ঘিরে রাখা সৈন্যরা যুদ্ধ বিজয়ের নাদ গর্জন করল| বাবিল আত্মসমর্পণ করেছে| তার প্রাচীর এবং দুর্গগুলি ভেঙে ফেলা হয়েছে| এই সব লোকদের যা শাস্তি পাওনা ছিল প্রভু তা দিচ্ছেন| অন্য জাতিগুলির প্রতি বাবিল য়ে কাজ করেছে জাতিগুলির উচিত্‌ বাবিলকে তার জন্য য়োগ্য শাস্তি দেওয়া|
KJV : Shout against her round about: she hath given her hand: her foundations are fallen, her walls are thrown down: for it [is] the vengeance of the LORD: take vengeance upon her; as she hath done, do unto her.
YLT : Shout against her round about, She hath given forth her hand, Fallen have her foundations, Thrown down have been her walls, For it [is] the vengeance of Jehovah, Be avenged of her, as she did -- do ye to her.
RV : Shout against her round about; she hath submitted herself; her bulwarks are fallen, her walls are thrown down: for it is the vengeance of the LORD; take vengeance upon her; as she hath done, do unto her.
RSV : Raise a shout against her round about, she has surrendered; her bulwarks have fallen, her walls are thrown down. For this is the vengeance of the LORD: take vengeance on her, do to her as she has done.
ASV : Shout against her round about: she hath submitted herself; her bulwarks are fallen, her walls are thrown down; for it is the vengeance of Jehovah: take vengeance upon her; as she hath done, do unto her.
ESV : Raise a shout against her all around; she has surrendered; her bulwarks have fallen; her walls are thrown down. For this is the vengeance of the LORD: take vengeance on her; do to her as she has done.
ERVEN : Soldiers around Babylon, shout the cry of victory! Babylon has surrendered! Her walls and towers have been pulled down! The Lord is giving her people the punishment they deserve. You nations should give Babylon the punishment she deserves. Do to her what she has done to other nations.

BNV : বাবিলের লোকদের চাষবাস করতে দিও না| তাদের শস্য সংগ্রহ করতে দিও না| বাবিলের সৈন্যরা অনেক বন্দীকে তাদের শহরে এনেছিল| কিন্তু এখন শএু সৈন্যরা এসেছে| তাই এখন ঐসব বন্দীরা তাদের ঘরে ফিরে যাচ্ছে| ঐসব বন্দীরা তাদের নিজেদের দেশে ফিরে যাচ্ছে|
KJV : Cut off the sower from Babylon, and him that handleth the sickle in the time of harvest: for fear of the oppressing sword they shall turn every one to his people, and they shall flee every one to his own land.
YLT : Cut off the sower from Babylon, And him handling the sickle in the time of harvest, Because of the oppressing sword, Each unto his people -- they turn, And each to his land -- they flee.
RV : Cut off the sower from Babylon, and him that handleth the sickle in the time of harvest: for fear of the oppressing sword they shall turn every one to his people, and they shall flee every one to his own land.
RSV : Cut off from Babylon the sower, and the one who handles the sickle in time of harvest; because of the sword of the oppressor, every one shall turn to his own people, and every one shall flee to his own land.

ESV : Cut off from Babylon the sower, and the one who handles the sickle in time of harvest; because of the sword of the oppressor, every one shall turn to his own people, and every one shall flee to his own land.
ERVEN : Don't let the people from Babylon plant their crops. Don't let them gather the harvest. The soldiers of Babylon brought many prisoners to their city. Now the enemy soldiers have come, so the prisoners are going back home. They are running back to their own countries.
