BNV : পশ্হূর ছিল এক যাজক| প্রভুর উপাসনাগৃহের সে ছিল প্রধান যাজক| পশ্হূরের পিতার নাম ছিল ইম্মের| পশ্হূর শুনতে পেল প্রভুর উপাসনাগৃহের চত্বরে যিরমিয় ধর্মোপদেশ প্রচার করছে|
KJV : Now Pashur the son of Immer the priest, who [was] also chief governor in the house of the LORD, heard that Jeremiah prophesied these things.
YLT : And Pashhur son of Immer the priest -- who also [is] overseer, leader in the house of Jehovah -- heareth Jeremiah prophesying these things,
RV : Now Pashhur the son of Immer the priest, who was chief officer in the house of the LORD, heard Jeremiah prophesying these things.
RSV : Now Pashhur the priest, the son of Immer, who was chief officer in the house of the LORD, heard Jeremiah prophesying these things.
ASV : Now Pashhur, the son of Immer the priest, who was chief officer in the house of Jehovah, heard Jeremiah prophesying these things.

ERVEN : Pashhur son of Immer was a priest. He was the highest officer in the Temple of the Lord. When he heard Jeremiah say those things in the Temple yard,

BNV : তাই সে ভাব্বাদী যিরমিয়কে প্রহার করেছিল| সে যিরমিয়র হাত এবং পাগুলি কাঠের গুঁড়ির মাঝখানে বেঁধে রেখেছিল| এটা ঘটেছিল প্রভুর মন্দিরে বিন্যামীনের উচ্চতর ফটকে|
KJV : Then Pashur smote Jeremiah the prophet, and put him in the stocks that [were] in the high gate of Benjamin, which [was] by the house of the LORD.
YLT : and Pashhur smiteth Jeremiah the prophet, and putteth him unto the stocks, that [are] by the high gate of Benjamin, that [is] by the house of Jehovah.
RV : Then Pashhur smote Jeremiah the prophet, and put him in the stocks that were in the upper gate of Benjamin, which was in the house of the LORD.
RSV : Then Pashhur beat Jeremiah the prophet, and put him in the stocks that were in the upper Benjamin Gate of the house of the LORD.
ASV : Then Pashhur smote Jeremiah the prophet, and put him in the stocks that were in the upper gate of Benjamin, which was in the house of Jehovah.
ESV : Then Pashhur beat Jeremiah the prophet, and put him in the stocks that were in the upper Benjamin Gate of the house of the LORD.
ERVEN : he had Jeremiah the prophet beaten. And he had Jeremiah's hands and feet locked between large blocks of wood. This was at the Upper Gate of Benjamin of the Temple.

BNV : পরদিন যখন পশ্হূর যিরমিয়কে সেই কাঠের খণ্ডের ভেতর থেকে বের করে আনল তখন যিরমিয় পশ্হূরকে বলেছিল, “তোমার, পশ্হূর নামটি প্রভুর দেওয়া নয়| এখন প্রভু তোমার নাম দিলেন সর্বদিকের সন্ত্রাস|
KJV : And it came to pass on the morrow, that Pashur brought forth Jeremiah out of the stocks. Then said Jeremiah unto him, The LORD hath not called thy name Pashur, but Magor-missabib.
YLT : and it cometh to pass on the morrow, that Pashhur bringeth out Jeremiah from the stocks, and Jeremiah saith unto him, `Not Pashhur hath Jehovah called thy name, but -- Magor-Missabib.
RV : And it came to pass on the morrow, that Pashhur brought forth Jeremiah out of the stocks. Then said Jeremiah unto him, The LORD hath not called thy name Pashhur, but Magor-missabib.
RSV : On the morrow, when Pashhur released Jeremiah from the stocks, Jeremiah said to him, "The LORD does not call your name Pashhur, but Terror on every side.
ASV : And it came to pass on the morrow, that Pashhur brought forth Jeremiah out of the stocks. Then said Jeremiah unto him, Jehovah hath not called thy name Pashhur, but Magor-missabib.
ESV : The next day, when Pashhur released Jeremiah from the stocks, Jeremiah said to him, "The LORD does not call your name Pashhur, but Terror On Every Side.
ERVEN : The next day Pashhur took Jeremiah out from between the blocks of wood. Then Jeremiah said to him, "The Lord's name for you is not Pashhur. Now his name for you is, 'Surrounded by Terror.'

BNV : এটা তোমার নাম, কারণ প্রভু বলেছেন, ‘শীঘ্রই আমি তোমাকে তোমার নিজের কাছেই একটি সন্ত্রাসে পরিণত করব| তুমি তোমার সমস্ত বন্ধু-বান্ধবের কাছেও সন্ত্রাস হিসেবে পরিচিতি পাবে| তুমি লক্ষ্য করবে শএুর তরবারি তোমার বন্ধুদের হত্যা করছে| আমি যিহূদার সমস্ত লোকদের বাবিলের রাজাকে দিয়ে দেব| তিনি তাদের বাবিলে নিয়ে যাবেন| তাঁর সৈন্যরা তাদের তরবারি দিয়ে মেরে ফেলবে|
KJV : For thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will make thee a terror to thyself, and to all thy friends: and they shall fall by the sword of their enemies, and thine eyes shall behold [it:] and I will give all Judah into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall carry them captive into Babylon, and shall slay them with the sword.
YLT : For thus said Jehovah: Lo, I am making thee for a fear to thyself, And to all loving thee, And they have fallen by the sword of their enemies, and thine eyes are beholding, And all Judah I give into the hand of the king of Babylon, And he hath removed them to Babylon, And he hath smitten them with the sword.

ESV : For thus says the LORD: Behold, I will make you a terror to yourself and to all your friends. They shall fall by the sword of their enemies while you look on. And I will give all Judah into the hand of the king of Babylon. He shall carry them captive to Babylon, and shall strike them down with the sword.
ERVEN : That is your name because of what the Lord says: 'I will soon make you a terror to yourself and to all your friends. You will watch enemies killing your friends with swords. I will give all the people of Judah to the king of Babylon. He will take them away to the country of Babylon, and his army will kill the people of Judah with their swords.

BNV : ধনসম্পদ অর্জন করতে জেরুশালেমের মানুষ পরিশ্রম করেছিল| কিন্তু আমি তাদের সমস্ত ধনসম্পদ শএুদের দিয়ে দেব| যিহূদার রাজাদেরও প্রচুর ঐশ্চর্য় ছিল| আমি সেই ঐশ্বর্য়ও শএুদের দিয়ে দেব| শএুবাহিনী সেই সব ধনসম্পদ ঐশ্বর্য় সমেত যিহূদার লোকদেরও বাবিলে নিয়ে যাবে|
KJV : Moreover I will deliver all the strength of this city, and all the labours thereof, and all the precious things thereof, and all the treasures of the kings of Judah will I give into the hand of their enemies, which shall spoil them, and take them, and carry them to Babylon.
YLT : And I have given all the strength of this city, And all its labour, and all its precious things, Yea, all the treasures of the kings of Judah I do give into the hand of their enemies, And they have spoiled them, and taken them, And have brought them into Babylon.
RV : Moreover I will give all the riches of this city, and all the gains thereof, and all the precious things thereof, yea, all the treasures of the kings of Judah will I give into the hand of their enemies, which shall spoil them, and take them, and carry them to Babylon.
RSV : Moreover, I will give all the wealth of the city, all its gains, all its prized belongings, and all the treasures of the kings of Judah into the hand of their enemies, who shall plunder them, and seize them, and carry them to Babylon.

ESV : Moreover, I will give all the wealth of the city, all its gains, all its prized belongings, and all the treasures of the kings of Judah into the hand of their enemies, who shall plunder them and seize them and carry them to Babylon.
ERVEN : The people of Jerusalem worked hard to build things and become wealthy, but I will give all these things to their enemies. The king in Jerusalem has many treasures, but I will give all the treasures to the enemy. The enemy will take them and carry them away to the country of Babylon.

BNV : পশ্হূর, তুমি এবং তোমার পরিবারও এর থেকে মুক্তি পাবে না| তোমাকে বাধ্য করা হবে বাবিলে চলে যাওয়ার জন্য| তোমার মৃত্যু হবে বাবিলে| সেখানেই তোমাকে সমাহিত করা হবে| তুমি তোমার বন্ধুদের কাছে মিথ্যা ধর্মোপদেশ প্রচার করেছিলে| তুমি বলেছো এটা ঘটবে না| কিন্তু তোমার বন্ধুরাও বাবিলে মারা যাবে এবং সেখানেই তাদের সমাহিত করা হবে|”‘
KJV : And thou, Pashur, and all that dwell in thine house shall go into captivity: and thou shalt come to Babylon, and there thou shalt die, and shalt be buried there, thou, and all thy friends, to whom thou hast prophesied lies.
YLT : And thou, Pashhur, and all dwelling in thy house, Do go into captivity. and Babylon thou dost enter, And there thou diest, and there thou art buried, Thou and all loving thee, To whom thou hast prophesied falsely.`
RV : And thou, Pashhur, and all that dwell in thine house shall go into captivity: and thou shalt come to Babylon, and there thou shalt die, and there shalt thou be buried, thou, and all thy friends, to whom thou hast prophesied falsely.

ESV : And you, Pashhur, and all who dwell in your house, shall go into captivity. To Babylon you shall go, and there you shall die, and there you shall be buried, you and all your friends, to whom you have prophesied falsely."
ERVEN : And Pashhur, you and all the people living in your house will be taken away. You will be forced to go and live in the country of Babylon. You will die in Babylon, and you will be buried in that foreign country. You told lies to your friends. {You said these things would not happen.} But all your friends will also die and be buried in Babylon.'"

BNV : প্রভু, আপনি কৌশল করেছিলেন এবং আমি প্রতারিতাহয়েছিলাম| আপনি আমার চেয়ে শক্তিশালী তাই আপনি জিতে গেলেন| আমি মানুষের কাছে হাস্যকর হয়ে গেলাম | ওরা আমাকে নিয়ে সারাদিন ধরে হাসাহাসি করল|
KJV : O LORD, thou hast deceived me, and I was deceived: thou art stronger than I, and hast prevailed: I am in derision daily, every one mocketh me.
YLT : Thou hast persuaded me, O Jehovah, and I am persuaded; Thou hast hardened me, and dost prevail, I have been for a laughter all the day, Every one is mocking at me,
RV : O LORD, thou hast deceived me, and I was deceived: thou art stronger than I, and hast prevailed: I am become a laughingstock all the day, every one mocketh me.
RSV : O LORD, thou hast deceived me, and I was deceived; thou art stronger than I, and thou hast prevailed. I have become a laughingstock all the day; every one mocks me.
ASV : O Jehovah, thou hast persuaded me, and I was persuaded; thou art stronger than I, and hast prevailed: I am become a laughing-stock all the day, every one mocketh me.
ESV : O LORD, you have deceived me, and I was deceived; you are stronger than I, and you have prevailed. I have become a laughingstock all the day; everyone mocks me.
ERVEN : Lord, you tricked me, and I certainly was fooled. You are stronger than I am, so you won. I have become a joke. People laugh at me and make fun of me all day long.

BNV : আমি যখনই কথা বলি, হিংসা ও ধ্বংসের বিরুদ্ধে চেঁচাই| প্রভুর বার্তা আমি লোকেদের জানিয়ে এসেছি| কিন্তু লোকরা আমাকে অপমান করেছে, আমাকে নিয়ে উপহাস করেছে|
KJV : For since I spake, I cried out, I cried violence and spoil; because the word of the LORD was made a reproach unto me, and a derision, daily.
YLT : Because from the time I speak I cry out, `Violence and destruction,` I cry, For the word of Jehovah hath been to me For reproach and for derision all the day.
RV : For as often as I speak, I cry out; I cry, Violence and spoil: because the word of the LORD is made a reproach unto me, and a derision, all the day.
RSV : For whenever I speak, I cry out, I shout, "Violence and destruction!" For the word of the LORD has become for me a reproach and derision all day long.

ERVEN : Every time I speak, I shout. I am always shouting about violence and destruction. I tell the people about the message that I received from the Lord. But they only insult me and make fun of me.

BNV : কখনো আমি নিজে নিজে বলেছি, “আমি প্রভুকে ভুলে যাব| প্রভুর নাম করে আর কথা বলব না|” যখন আমি একথা বলি তখনই প্রভুর বার্তা আমার শরীরের ভেতরে আগুনের মতো জ্বালায পোড়ায| হাড়ের ভেতর সেই জ্বালা পোড়া এমনভাবে ছড়িয়ে পড়ে য়ে আমি আর ঠিক থাকতে পারি না, ক্লান্ত হয়ে পড়ি| প্রভুর বার্তা শরীরের ভেতরে আর ধরে রাখতে পারি না|
KJV : Then I said, I will not make mention of him, nor speak any more in his name. But [his word] was in mine heart as a burning fire shut up in my bones, and I was weary with forbearing, and I could not [stay.]
YLT : And I said, `I do not mention Him, Nor do I speak any more in His name,` And it hath been in my heart As a burning fire shut up in my bones, And I have been weary of containing, And I am not able.
RV : And if I say, I will not make mention of him, nor speak any more in his name, then there is in mine heart as it were a burning fire shut up in my bones, and I am weary with forbearing, and I cannot {cf15i contain}.

ERVEN : Sometimes I say to myself, "I will forget about the Lord. I will not speak anymore in his name." But when I say that, then the Lord's message is like a fire burning inside of me! It feels like it is burning deep in my bones! I get tired of trying to hold his message inside of me. And finally, I am not able to hold it in.

BNV : আমি শুনতে পাচ্ছি লোকরা আমার বিরুদ্ধে ফিসফিস করে কথা বলছে| সব জায়গায় একই কথা শুনে আমি ভয় পাই| এমন কি আমার বন্ধুরাও আমার বিরুদ্ধে কথা বলছে| লোকরা আমার ভুল করবার অপেক্ষায রয়েছে| তারা বলছে, “চলো আমরা একটা মিথ্য়ে কথা বলি য়ে সে একটা ভীষণ খারাপ কাজ করেছে| অসত্‌ কাজ করি| আমরা হয়তো যিরমিয়কে প্রতারণাপূর্বক কৌশল করতে পারব| তাহলে পরিশেষে আমরা তার হাত থেকে মুক্তি পাবো| তারপর আমরা তাকে বন্দী করব এবং প্রতিশোধ নেব|”
KJV : For I heard the defaming of many, fear on every side. Report, [say they,] and we will report it. All my familiars watched for my halting, [saying,] Peradventure he will be enticed, and we shall prevail against him, and we shall take our revenge on him.
YLT : For I have heard the evil report of many, Fear [is] round about: `Declare, and we declare it,` All mine allies are watching [for] my halting, `Perhaps he is enticed, and we prevail over him, And we take our vengeance out of him.`
RV : For I have heard the defaming of many, terror on every side. Denounce, and we will denounce him, {cf15i say} all my familiar friends, they that watch for my halting; peradventure he will be enticed, and we shall prevail against him, and we shall take our revenge on him.
RSV : For I hear many whispering. Terror is on every side! "Denounce him! Let us denounce him!" say all my familiar friends, watching for my fall. "Perhaps he will be deceived, then we can overcome him, and take our revenge on him."
ASV : For I have heard the defaming of many, terror on every side. Denounce, and we will denounce him, say all my familiar friends, they that watch for my fall; peradventure he will be persuaded, and we shall prevail against him, and we shall take our revenge on him.
ESV : For I hear many whispering. Terror is on every side! "Denounce him! Let us denounce him!" say all my close friends, watching for my fall. "Perhaps he will be deceived; then we can overcome him and take our revenge on him."
ERVEN : I hear people whispering against me. Everywhere, I hear things that frighten me. Even my friends are speaking against me. People are just waiting for me to make a mistake. They are saying, "Let us lie and say that he did something bad. Maybe we can trick Jeremiah. Then we will have him. We will finally be rid of him. Then we will grab him and take our revenge on him."

BNV : কিন্তু প্রভু আমার সঙ্গে আছেন| প্রভু একজন শক্তিশালী সৈন্যের মত| তাই লোকরা যারা আমাকে তাড়া করছে তারা হোঁচট খাবে| তারা আমাকে হারাতে পারবে না| তারা নিজেরাই হেরে গিয়ে হতাশ হবে| তারা এমন অপমানিত হবে য়ে সেই লজ্জা তারা কখনো ভুলতে পারবে না|
KJV : But the LORD [is] with me as a mighty terrible one: therefore my persecutors shall stumble, and they shall not prevail: they shall be greatly ashamed; for they shall not prosper: [their] everlasting confusion shall never be forgotten.
YLT : And Jehovah [is] with me, as a terrible mighty one, Therefore my persecutors stumble and prevail not, They have been exceedingly ashamed, For they have not acted wisely, Confusion age-during is not forgotten.
RV : But the LORD is with me as a mighty one {cf15i and} a terrible: therefore my persecutors shall stumble, and they shall not prevail: they shall be greatly ashamed, because they have not dealt wisely, even with an everlasting dishonour which shall never be forgotten.
RSV : But the LORD is with me as a dread warrior; therefore my persecutors will stumble, they will not overcome me. They will be greatly shamed, for they will not succeed. Their eternal dishonor will never be forgotten.
ASV : But Jehovah is with me as a mighty one and a terrible: therefore my persecutors shall stumble, and they shall not prevail; they shall be utterly put to shame, because they have not dealt wisely, even with an everlasting dishonor which shall never be forgotten.
ESV : But the LORD is with me as a dread warrior; therefore my persecutors will stumble; they will not overcome me. They will be greatly shamed, for they will not succeed. Their eternal dishonor will never be forgotten.
ERVEN : But the Lord is with me. He is like a strong soldier. So those who are chasing me will fall. They will not defeat me. They will fail. They will be disappointed. They will be ashamed, and they will never forget that shame.

BNV : সর্বশক্তিমান প্রভু তুমি সত্‌ লোকদের পরীক্ষা করো| তুমি আমাদের হৃদয়ের এবং মনের ভেতর গভীরভাবে দেখ| আমি তোমার সামনে ঐ সব লোকদের বিরুদ্ধে যুক্তিসমূহ এনেছিলাম যাতে হয়ত আমি দেখতে পাই য়ে তুমি ওদের শাস্তি দেবে|
KJV : But, O LORD of hosts, that triest the righteous, [and] seest the reins and the heart, let me see thy vengeance on them: for unto thee have I opened my cause.
YLT : And, O Jehovah of Hosts, trier of the righteous, Beholder of reins and heart, I do see Thy vengeance out of them, For unto Thee I have revealed my cause.
RV : But, O LORD of hosts, that triest the righteous, that seest the reins and the heart, let me see thy vengeance on them; for unto thee have I revealed my cause.
RSV : O LORD of hosts, who triest the righteous, who seest the heart and the mind, let me see thy vengeance upon them, for to thee have I committed my cause.
ASV : But, O Jehovah of hosts, that triest the righteous, that seest the heart and the mind, let me see thy vengeance on them; for unto thee have I revealed my cause.
ESV : O LORD of hosts, who tests the righteous, who sees the heart and the mind, let me see your vengeance upon them, for to you have I committed my cause.
ERVEN : Lord All-Powerful, you test good people. You look deeply into a person's mind. I told you my arguments against these people. So let me see you give them the punishment they deserve.

BNV : প্রভুর কাছে গান কর! তাঁর প্রশংসা কর| প্রভু অসহায় মানুষকে ক্ষতিকর মানুষের কবল থেকে রক্ষা করেন|
KJV : Sing unto the LORD, praise ye the LORD: for he hath delivered the soul of the poor from the hand of evildoers.
YLT : Sing ye to Jehovah, praise Jehovah, For He hath delivered the soul of the needy From the hand of evil doers.
RV : Sing unto the LORD, praise ye the LORD: for he hath delivered the soul of the needy from the hand of evil-doers.
RSV : Sing to the LORD; praise the LORD! For he has delivered the life of the needy from the hand of evildoers.
ASV : Sing unto Jehovah, praise ye Jehovah; for he hath delivered the soul of the needy from the hand of evil-doers.

ERVEN : Sing to the Lord! Praise the Lord! He saves the lives of the poor! He saves them from the wicked!

BNV : অভিশাপ দাও সেই দিনটিকে য়েদিন আমি জন্ম নিয়েছিলাম| য়েদিন আমার মা আমাকে পেয়েছিল সেই দিনটিকে আশীর্বাদ কোরো না|
KJV : Cursed [be] the day wherein I was born: let not the day wherein my mother bare me be blessed.
YLT : Cursed [is] the day in which I was born, The day that my mother bare me, Let it not be blessed!

BNV : অভিশাপ দাও সেই মানুষটিকে য়ে আমার পিতাকে আমার জন্ম সংবাদ দিয়েছিল| সে বলেছিল, “তোমার একটি পুত্র সন্তান হয়েছে|” সে আমার পিতাকে এই সংবাদ দিয়ে খুশী করেছিল|
KJV : Cursed [be] the man who brought tidings to my father, saying, A man child is born unto thee; making him very glad.
YLT : Cursed [is] the man who bore tidings [to] my father, saying, `Born to thee hath been a child -- a male,` Making him very glad!
RV : Cursed be the man who brought tidings to my father, saying, A man child is born unto thee; making him very glad.
RSV : Cursed be the man who brought the news to my father, "A son is born to you," making him very glad.
ASV : Cursed be the man who brought tidings to my father, saying, A man-child is born unto thee; making him very glad.
ESV : Cursed be the man who brought the news to my father, "A son is born to you," making him very glad.
ERVEN : Curse the man who told my father the news that I was born. "It's a boy!" he said. "You have a son." He made my father very happy when he told him the news.

BNV : ঐ মানুষটিরও দশা হোক সেই সব শহরের মতো য়েগুলো প্রভু ধ্বংস করেছেন| প্রভু ঐ শহরগুলির ওপর কোন করুণা দেখান নি| ঐ মানুষটি য়েন প্রত্যেকদিন সকালে যুদ্ধের আর্তনাদ শুনতে পায়| দুপুর বেলায সে যুদ্ধনাদ শুনুক|
KJV : And let that man be as the cities which the LORD overthrew, and repented not: and let him hear the cry in the morning, and the shouting at noontide;
YLT : Then hath that man been as the cities, That Jehovah overthrew, and repented not, And he hath heard a cry at morning, And a shout at time of noon.

BNV : কারণ সে আমাকে মাতৃগর্ভে থাকাকালীন হত্যা করেনি| সে যদি আমাকে হত্যা করত তাহলে আমার কবর হত| আমার মাতৃগর্ভ এবং আমি কখনও জন্মগ্রহণই করতাম না|
KJV : Because he slew me not from the womb; or that my mother might have been my grave, and her womb [to be] always great [with me. ]
YLT : Because he hath not put me to death from the womb, And my mother is to me -- my grave, And her womb a pregnancy age-during.

BNV : আমাকে কেন আমার মাতৃগর্ভ থেকে বাইরে আসতে হল? আমি এই পৃথিবীতে যা কিছু দেখেছি তা হল দুঃখ এবং সমস্যাসমূহ| এবং আমার জীবন শেষ হবে দুঃখে ও অপমানে|
KJV : Wherefore came I forth out of the womb to see labour and sorrow, that my days should be consumed with shame?
YLT : Why [is] this? from the womb I have come out, To see labour and sorrow, Yea, consumed in shame are my days!
