BNV : “যিরমিয় যাও এবং জেরুশালেমের লোকদের সঙ্গে কথা বল| তাদের বলো:“‘যখন তোমরা একটি নবীন জাতি ছিলে, তখন তোমরা আমার প্রতি খুব বিশ্বস্ত ছিলে| আমাকে অনুসরণ করতে নতুন কনের (প্রেমের) মতো| মরুভূমির মাঝেও তোমরা আমাকে অনুসরণ করেছ| অনুসরণ করে গিয়েছো মৃত্তিকার মধ্যে দিয়ে- অথচ য়ে মৃত্তিকায কখনো চাষ করা হয়নি|
KJV : Go and cry in the ears of Jerusalem, saying, Thus saith the LORD; I remember thee, the kindness of thy youth, the love of thine espousals, when thou wentest after me in the wilderness, in a land [that was] not sown.
YLT : `Go, and thou hast called in the ears of Jerusalem, saying, Thus said Jehovah: I have remembered for thee The kindness of thy youth, the love of thine espousals, Thy going after Me in a wilderness, in a land not sown.
RV : Go, and cry in the ears of Jerusalem, saying, Thus saith the LORD, I remember for thee the kindness of thy youth, the love of thine espousals; how thou wentest after me in the wilderness, in a land that was not sown.

ERVEN : "Jeremiah, go and speak to the people of Jerusalem. Say to them: "'At the time you were a young nation, you were faithful to me. You followed me like a young bride. You followed me through the desert, through a land that had never been used for farmland.

BNV : ইস্রায়েলের লোকরা ছিল প্রভুর পবিত্র উপহার| তারা ছিল প্রথম ফল য়েগুলি ঈশ্বরের দ্বারা ফলাবার কথা ছিল| যারা তাদের ক্ষতি করতে চাইত, তারা দোষী সাব্যস্ত হত| এই সব দুষ্ট লোকদের জীবনে খারাপ ঘটনাসমূহ ঘটেছিল|”‘ এই ছিল প্রভুর বার্তা|
KJV : Israel [was] holiness unto the LORD, [and] the firstfruits of his increase: all that devour him shall offend; evil shall come upon them, saith the LORD.
YLT : Holy [is] Israel to Jehovah, The first-fruit of His increase, All consuming him are guilty, Evil cometh in unto them, an affirmation of Jehovah.
RV : Israel {cf15i was} holiness unto the LORD, the firstfruits of his increase: all that devour him shall be held guilty; evil shall come upon them, saith the LORD.

ERVEN : The people of Israel were a holy gift to the Lord. They were the first fruit to be gathered by the Lord. Any people who tried to hurt them were judged guilty. Bad things happened to those wicked people.'" This message is from the Lord.

BNV : প্রভু যা বললেন তা হল, “তোমরা কি মনে করো য়ে আমি তোমাদের পূর্বপুরুষেদের প্রতি সুবিচার করি নি? সেই জন্যই কি তারা আমার কাছ থেকে দূরে সরে গিয়েছে? তোমাদের পূর্বপুরুষরা মূল্যহীন মূর্ত্তিসমূহের পূজা করেছিল এবং নিজেরাই মূল্যহীন হয়ে পড়েছিল|
KJV : Thus saith the LORD, What iniquity have your fathers found in me, that they are gone far from me, and have walked after vanity, and are become vain?
YLT : Thus said Jehovah: What -- have your fathers found in Me perversity, That they have gone far off from Me, And go after the vanity, and become vain,
RV : thus saith the LORD, What unrighteousness have your fathers found in me, that they are gone far from me, and have walked after vanity, and are become vain?
RSV : Thus says the LORD: "What wrong did your fathers find in me that they went far from me, and went after worthlessness, and became worthless?

ERVEN : This is what the Lord says: "Do you think that I was not fair to your ancestors? Is that why they turned away from me? Your ancestors worshiped worthless idols, and they became worthless themselves.

BNV : তোমাদের পূর্বপুরুষরা বলেনি য়ে, ‘তিনি কোথায় যিনি আমাদের শুষ্ক পাথুরে জমির মধ্য দিয়ে, অন্ধকার বন্ধ্যা জমির মধ্য দিয়ে এবং বিপজ্জনক রাস্তার মধ্য দিয়ে মরুভূমি পার করে এনেছিলেন?’
KJV : Neither said they, Where [is] the LORD that brought us up out of the land of Egypt, that led us through the wilderness, through a land of deserts and of pits, through a land of drought, and of the shadow of death, through a land that no man passed through, and where no man dwelt?
YLT : And have not said, Where [is] Jehovah, Who bringeth us up out of the land of Egypt, Who leadeth us in a wilderness, In a land of deserts and pits, In a dry land, and of death-shade, In a land -- none hath passed through it, Nor dwelt hath man there?`

ERVEN : Your ancestors did not say, 'The Lord brought us out of Egypt. He led us through the desert, through a dry and rocky land. He led us through a dark and dangerous land. No one lives there; people don't even travel through that land. But the Lord led us through that land. So where is he now?'

BNV : প্রভু বললেন, “আমিই সেই য়ে তোমাদের এই ভালো উর্বর দেশে নিয়ে এসেছিলাম যাতে তোমরা এর ফল ও শস্যসমূহ খেতে পাও এবং খাদ্য জোগাতে পারো| তোমরা আমার মাটিকে ‘নোংরা’ করে দিলে| আমি তোমাদের একটি ভালো জমি দিয়েছিলাম, কিন্তু তোমরা তাকে একটি খারাপ জায়গায় পরিণত করে দিলে|
KJV : And I brought you into a plentiful country, to eat the fruit thereof and the goodness thereof; but when ye entered, ye defiled my land, and made mine heritage an abomination.
YLT : Yea, I bring you in to a land of fruitful fields, To eat its fruit and its goodness, And ye come in and defile My land, And Mine inheritance have made an abomination.

ERVEN : "I brought you into a good land, a land filled with many good things. I did this so that you could eat the fruit and crops that grow there. But you only made my land 'dirty.' I gave that land to you, but you made it a bad place.

BNV : “যাজকরা প্রশ্ন করেনি, ‘কোথায় সেই প্রভু?’ যারা বিধিটি জানত তারা আমাকে জানতে চায়নি| ইস্রায়েলের নেতারা আমার বিরুদ্ধাচরণ করেছিল| ভাব্বাদীগণ বাল মূর্ত্তির নাম নিয়ে ভাব্বাণী করেছিল| তারা মূল্যহীন মূর্ত্তিগুলোর পূজা করেছিল| তারা মূর্ত্তির অজুহাত দেখিয়ে ইস্রায়েলের লোকদের পূজায বসিযেছে| ইস্রায়েলবাসী ভেবেছিল এই মূর্ত্তিই তাদের জন্য ফলনশীল জমি তৈরী করেছে| তারা বিশ্বাস করেছিল, মূর্ত্তিই বুঝি ঝড়, বৃষ্টি এনে দিয়েছে|”
KJV : The priests said not, Where [is] the LORD? and they that handle the law knew me not: the pastors also transgressed against me, and the prophets prophesied by Baal, and walked after [things that] do not profit.
YLT : The priests have not said, `Where [is] Jehovah?` And those handling the law have not known Me. And the shepherds transgressed against Me, And the prophets have prophesied by Baal, And after those who profit not have gone.

ERVEN : "The priests did not ask, 'Where is the Lord?' The people who know the law did not want to know me. The leaders of the people of Israel turned against me. The prophets prophesied in the name of the false god Baal. They worshiped worthless idols."

BNV : প্রভু বললেন, “তাই আমি তোমাদের আবার অভিযুক্ত করছি| অভিযুক্ত করব তোমাদের পুত্র পৌত্রগণদেরও|
KJV : Wherefore I will yet plead with you, saith the LORD, and with your children’s children will I plead.
YLT : Therefore, yet I plead with you, An affirmation of Jehovah, And with your sons` sons I plead.

BNV : যাও, সমুদ্রের ওপারে কিত্তীযদের দ্বীপে| কোন এক জনকে কেদরের দেশে পাঠাও| দেখ আর কেউ কখনও এরকম করেছে কিনা| সেখানে দেখো কেউ তোমাদের মতো এই কাজ করছে কিনা|
KJV : For pass over the isles of Chittim, and see; and send unto Kedar, and consider diligently, and see if there be such a thing.
YLT : For, pass to the isles of Chittim, and see, And to Kedar send, and consider well, And see if there hath been like this:

BNV : কোনও দেশ কি তাদের পুরানো দেবতাকে ছুঁড়ে ফেলে নতুন দেবতার উপাসনা করেছে? কিন্তু তাদের সেই দেবতারা সত্যিকারের দেবতা নয়| কিন্তু আমার লোকরা তাদের মহিমাময ঈশ্বরের পরিবর্তে মূল্যহীন মূর্ত্তিগুলোর পূজা শুরু করেছিল|
KJV : Hath a nation changed [their] gods, which [are] yet no gods? but my people have changed their glory for [that which] doth not profit.
YLT : Hath a nation changed gods? (And they [are] no gods!) And My people hath changed its honour For that which doth not profit.

BNV : “হে আকাশমণ্ডল, যা সব ঘটেছিল তাতে আশ্চর্য়্য় হও! প্রচণ্ড ভয়ে কাঁপতে থাকো!” এই ছিল প্রভুর বার্তা|

BNV : “ইস্রায়েলবাসীরা কি দাস হয়ে গিয়েছে? তারা কি সেই লোকের মত হয়ে গেছে য়ে দাস হয়েই জন্মেছিল? লোকরা কেন ইস্রায়েলীয়দের ধনসম্পদ নিয়ে নিয়েছিল?
KJV : [Is] Israel a servant? [is] he a homeborn [slave?] why is he spoiled?
YLT : A servant [is] Israel? Is he a child of the house? Wherefore hath he been for a prey?

ERVEN : "Have the people of Israel become slaves? Have they become like someone who was born a slave? Why did people take the wealth from the people of Israel?

BNV : সিংহ শাবকরা (শএুরা) ইস্রায়েলের প্রতি গর্জন করে উঠেছিল| তারা তার প্রতি হুংকার করেছে| তারা ইস্রায়েল দেশটিকে ধ্বংস করেছে| এমনকি শহরগুলিকে পোড়ানো হয়েছিল এবং সেখানে কোন মানুষ পড়ে ছিল না|
KJV : The young lions roared upon him, [and] yelled, and they made his land waste: his cities are burned without inhabitant.
YLT : Against him roar do young lions, They have given forth their voice, And make his land become a desolation, His cities have been burnt without inhabitant.

YLT : Also sons of Noph and Tahapanes Consume thee -- the crown of the head!

BNV : এই ক্ষতির কারণ তোমরা নিজেরাই| কেননা প্রভু তোমার ঈশ্বর যখন তোমাদের সঠিক পথে নিয়ে যাচ্ছিলেন তখন তোমরা নিজেরাই তাঁকে ত্যাগ করে দূরে সরে গিয়েছ|
KJV : Hast thou not procured this unto thyself, in that thou hast forsaken the LORD thy God, when he led thee by the way?
YLT : Dost thou not do this to thyself? [By] thy forsaking Jehovah thy God, At the time He is leading thee in the way?
RV : Hast thou not procured this unto thyself, in that thou hast forsaken the LORD thy God, when he led thee by the way?
RSV : Have you not brought this upon yourself by forsaking the LORD your God, when he led you in the way?

ERVEN : This trouble is your own fault. The Lord your God was leading you the right way, but you turned away from him.

BNV : যিহূদার লোকরা, এবার ভাবো: ওটি কি তোমাদের মিশরে য়েতে সাহায্য করেছিল? ওটি কি তোমাদের সাহায্য করেছিল নীল নদের জল পান করতে? না! সেটি কি তোমাদের অশূরে য়েতে সাহায্য করেছিল? ওটি কি তোমাদের সাহায্য করেছিল ফরাত্‌ নদীর জল পান করতে? না!
KJV : And now what hast thou to do in the way of Egypt, to drink the waters of Sihor? or what hast thou to do in the way of Assyria, to drink the waters of the river?
YLT : And now, what -- to thee in the way of Egypt, To drink the waters of Sihor? And what -- to thee in the way of Asshur, To drink the waters of the River?
RV : And now what hast thou to do in the way to Egypt, to drink the waters of Shihor? or what hast thou to do in the way to Assyria, to drink the waters of the River?
RSV : And now what do you gain by going to Egypt, to drink the waters of the Nile? Or what do you gain by going to Assyria, to drink the waters of the Euphrates?
ASV : And now what hast thou to do in the way to Egypt, to drink the waters of the Shihor? or what hast thou to do in the way to Assyria, to drink the waters of the River?
ESV : And now what do you gain by going to Egypt to drink the waters of the Nile? Or what do you gain by going to Assyria to drink the waters of the Euphrates?
ERVEN : People of Judah, think about this: How did it help you to go to Egypt and drink from the Nile River? How did it help you to go to Assyria and drink from the Euphrates River?

BNV : না! তোমরা খারাপ কাজ করেছিলে এবং সেই জন্য তোমাদের শাস্তি পেতে হবে| তোমাদের বিক্সমূহ আসবে এবং সেই সংকট তোমাদের উচিত্‌ শিক্ষা দেবে| তোমরা একবার ভেবে দেখো, তাহলেই বুঝতে পারবে ঈশ্বরের কাছ থেকে দূরে সরে যাওয়ার পরিণাম কি মারাত্মক| আমাকে ভয় না পাওয়া এবং সম্মান না করা নিতান্তই মুর্খামি|” এই ছিল প্রভু সর্বশক্তিমানের বার্তা|
KJV : Thine own wickedness shall correct thee, and thy backslidings shall reprove thee: know therefore and see that [it is] an evil [thing] and bitter, that thou hast forsaken the LORD thy God, and that my fear [is] not in thee, saith the Lord GOD of hosts.
YLT : Instruct thee doth thy wickedness, And thy backslidings reprove thee, Know and see that an evil and a bitter thing [Is] thy forsaking Jehovah thy God, And My fear not being on thee, An affirmation of the Lord Jehovah of Hosts.
