BNV : “যাকোব তুমি আমার সেবক| আমার কথা শোন| ইস্রায়েল, আমি তোমাকে মনোনীত করেছি| আমি যা বলি তা তোমরা শোন|
KJV : Yet now hear, O Jacob my servant; and Israel, whom I have chosen:

BNV : আমি তোমাদের প্রভু| আমিই তোমাদের সৃষ্টি করেছি| তোমরা যা হয়ে উঠেছো আমি তাই করে গড়ে তুলেছি| তোমরা যখন মাতৃ গর্ভে ছিলে তখন থেকেই আমি তোমাদের সাহায্য করে আসছি| আমার দাস যাকোব ভয় পেও না| য়িশুরূণ তোমাকে আমি মনোনীত করেছি|
KJV : Thus saith the LORD that made thee, and formed thee from the womb, [which] will help thee; Fear not, O Jacob, my servant; and thou, Jesurun, whom I have chosen.
YLT : Thus said Jehovah, thy Maker, and thy Former, From the womb He doth help thee; Fear not, my servant Jacob, And Jeshurun, whom I have fixed on.

BNV : “তৃষ্ণার্ত লোকদের আমি জল দেব| শুষ্ক জমিতে আমি জল প্রবাহ বইয়ে দেব| তোমাদের শিশুদের মধ্যে আমি আমার আত্মা ঢেলে দেব, মনে হবে যেন তোমাদের সন্তানদের ওপর দিয়ে জল বয়ে যাচ্ছে|
KJV : For I will pour water upon him that is thirsty, and floods upon the dry ground: I will pour my spirit upon thy seed, and my blessing upon thine offspring:

BNV : ঘাসের মধ্যে তারা বেড়ে উঠবে| তারা জলস্রোতের ধারে গজিযে ওঠা বাইশী গাছদের মতো হবে|
KJV : And they shall spring up as among the grass, as willows by the water courses.
YLT : And they have sprung up as among grass, As willows by streams of water.

RSV : They shall spring up like grass amid waters, like willows by flowing streams.

BNV : “এক জন বলবে, ‘আমি প্রভুর|’ অন্য একজন ‘যাকোবের’ নাম ব্যবহার করবে| অন্য জন তার নাম সাক্ষর করবে এবং বলবে, ‘আমিই প্রভুর|’ অন্য জন ব্যবহার করবে ‘ইস্রায়েলের নাম|”‘
KJV : One shall say, I [am] the LORD’S; and another shall call [himself] by the name of Jacob; and another shall subscribe [with] his hand unto the LORD, and surname [himself] by the name of Israel.
YLT : This [one] saith, For Jehovah I [am], And this calleth [himself] by the name of Jacob, And this [one] writeth [with] his hand, `For Jehovah,` and by the name of Israel surnameth himself.
RV : One shall say, I am the LORD-S; and another shall call {cf15i himself} by the name of Jacob; and another shall subscribe with his hand unto the LORD, and surname {cf15i himself} by the name of Israel.

BNV : প্রভু ইস্রায়েলের রাজা| প্রভু সর্বশক্তিমান ইস্রায়েলকে রক্ষা করবেন| প্রভু বলেন, “আমিই একমাত্র ঈশ্বর| অন্য কোন দেবতা নেই| আমিই আদি, আমিই অন্ত|
KJV : Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts; I [am] the first, and I [am] the last; and beside me [there is] no God.

ERVEN : The Lord is the king of Israel. The Lord All-Powerful is the one who will set Israel free. And he says, "I am the only God. There are no other gods. I am the Beginning and the End.

BNV : আমার মতো অন্য কোন ঈশ্বর নেই| যদি কেউ থাকেন তাহলে সেই দেবতার কথা বলা উচিত্‌| সেই দেবতার উচিত্‌ ছিল এখানে এসে প্রমাণ করা যে তিনিও আমারই মতো| আমি যখন এই প্রাচীন লোকদের সৃষ্টি করেছিলাম তখন কি ঘটেছিল সেই দেবতার আমাকে বলা উচিত্‌| ভবিষ্যতে কি ঘটবে তিনি যে তা জানেন তা প্রমাণ করার জন্য ঐ দেবতার আমাকে কোন নিদর্শন দেওয়া উচিত্‌|
KJV : And who, as I, shall call, and shall declare it, and set it in order for me, since I appointed the ancient people? and the things that are coming, and shall come, let them shew unto them.
YLT : And who as I, doth call and declare it, And arrange it for Me, Since My placing the people of antiquity, And things that are coming, And those that do come, declare they to them?
RV : And who, as I, shall call, and shall declare it, and set it in order for me, since I appointed the ancient people? and the things that are coming, and that shall come to pass, let them declare.
RSV : Who is like me? Let him proclaim it, let him declare and set it forth before me. Who has announced from of old the things to come? Let them tell us what is yet to be.
ASV : And who, as I, shall call, and shall declare it, and set it in order for me, since I established the ancient people? and the things that are coming, and that shall come to pass, let them declare.
ESV : Who is like me? Let him proclaim it. Let him declare and set it before me, since I appointed an ancient people. Let them declare what is to come, and what will happen.
ERVEN : There is no other God like me. If there is, that god should speak now. Let him lay out everything he has done since the time I made these ancient people. Let him show me the signs he gave long ago that prove he knew what would happen in the future.

BNV : ভীত হযো না| উদ্বিগ্ন হযো না! আমি সর্বদাই তোমাদের বলেছি যে কি ঘটবে| তোমরাই আমার সাক্ষী! অন্য কোন ঈশ্বর নেই| আমিই একমাত্র| অন্য কোন ‘শিলা’ নেই| আমি জানি আমিই একমাত্র!”
KJV : Fear ye not, neither be afraid: have not I told thee from that time, and have declared [it?] ye [are] even my witnesses. Is there a God beside me? yea, [there is] no God; I know not [any.]
YLT : Fear not, nor be afraid, Have I not from that time caused thee to hear, and declared? And ye [are] My witnesses, Is there a God besides Me? yea, there is none, A Rock I have not known.

ERVEN : "Don't be afraid! Don't worry. I am the one who always told you what would happen. You are my proof. There is no other God; I am the only one. There is no other 'Rock'; I know I am the only one."

BNV : কেউ কেউ মূর্ত্তি বানায়| কিন্তু তারা মূল্যহীন| লোকে সেই মূর্ত্তিকে ভালোবাসে| কিন্তু সেইগুলি মূল্যহীন| সেই লোকগুলি মূর্ত্তিগুলির সাক্ষী হলেও তারা দেখতে পায় না| তারা কিছুই জানে না, তারা তাদের কৃতকর্মের জন্য যথেষ্ট লজ্জিত হতে জানে না|
KJV : They that make a graven image [are] all of them vanity; and their delectable things shall not profit; and they [are] their own witnesses; they see not, nor know; that they may be ashamed.
YLT : Framers of a graven image [are] all of them emptiness, And their desirable things do not profit, And their own witnesses they [are], They see not, nor know, that they may be ashamed.

ERVEN : Some people make idols, which are worthless. They love their statues, but they are all useless. Those who serve as witnesses for these statues cannot even see. They don't know enough to be ashamed.

BNV : কে তৈরী করেছিল এই সব মূর্ত্তিগুলিকে? কে তৈরী করেছিল মূল্যহীন মূর্ত্তিগুলি?
KJV : Who hath formed a god, or molten a graven image [that] is profitable for nothing?
YLT : Who hath formed a god, And a molten image poured out -- not profitable?
RV : Who hath fashioned a god, or molten a graven image that is profitable for nothing?
RSV : Who fashions a god or casts an image, that is profitable for nothing?
ASV : Who hath fashioned a god, or molten an image that is profitable for nothing?
ESV : Who fashions a god or casts an idol that is profitable for nothing?
ERVEN : Who made these false gods? Who covered these useless statues?

BNV : শ্রমিকরা ঐসব দেবতাদের বানিয়েছে| তারা সবাই মানুষ; দেবতা নয়| সেই সব লোকেরা যদি এক সঙ্গে বসে এই সব বিষয়গুলি নিয়ে আলোচনা করে তাহলে তারা খুবই লজ্জিত হবে এবং ভয় পাবে|
KJV : Behold, all his fellows shall be ashamed: and the workmen, they [are] of men: let them all be gathered together, let them stand up; [yet] they shall fear, [and] they shall be ashamed together.
YLT : Lo, all his companions are ashamed, As to artizans -- they [are] of men, All of them gather together, they stand up, They fear, they are ashamed together.
RV : Behold, all his fellows shall be ashamed; and the workmen, they are of men: let them all be gathered together, let them stand up; they shall fear, they shall be ashamed together.
RSV : Behold, all his fellows shall be put to shame, and the craftsmen are but men; let them all assemble, let them stand forth, they shall be terrified, they shall be put to shame together.

ESV : Behold, all his companions shall be put to shame, and the craftsmen are only human. Let them all assemble, let them stand forth. They shall be terrified; they shall be put to shame together.
ERVEN : Workers made them, and the workers are only human. If they all would come together before me, we could discuss this. Then they would all be ashamed and afraid.

BNV : এক জন শ্রমিক তার যন্ত্র ব্যবহার করে গরম কযলা দিয়ে লোহা গরম করার কাজে| সেই লোকটি হাতুড়ি ব্যবহার করে ধাতু পেটানোর কাজে| এবং সেই ধাতুই মূর্ত্তি হয়ে উঠেছে| এই লোকটি তার বাহুর শক্তি ব্যবহার করে, কিন্তু খিদে পেলে সে তার ক্ষমতা হারায়| যদি মানুষটি জলপান না করে তবে সে দুর্বল হয়ে যায়|
KJV : The smith with the tongs both worketh in the coals, and fashioneth it with hammers, and worketh it with the strength of his arms: yea, he is hungry, and his strength faileth: he drinketh no water, and is faint.
YLT : He hath wrought iron [with] an axe, And hath wrought with coals, And with hammers doth form it, And doth work it by his powerful arm, Yea, he is hungry, and there is no power, He doth not drink water, and he is wearied.
RV : The smith {cf15i maketh} an axe, and worketh in the coals, and fashioneth it with hammers, and worketh it with his strong arm: yea, he is hungry, and his strength faileth; he drinketh no water, and is faint.
RSV : The ironsmith fashions it and works it over the coals; he shapes it with hammers, and forges it with his strong arm; he becomes hungry and his strength fails, he drinks no water and is faint.

ESV : The ironsmith takes a cutting tool and works it over the coals. He fashions it with hammers and works it with his strong arm. He becomes hungry, and his strength fails; he drinks no water and is faint.
ERVEN : One worker uses his tools to heat iron over hot coals. Then he uses his hammer to beat the metal to shape it into a statue. He uses his own powerful arms, but when he gets hungry, he loses his strength. If he does not drink water, he becomes weak.

BNV : আর এক জন শ্রমিক কাঠের ওপর সরল রেখায় দাগ টানবার জন্য ব্যবহার করেছে ওলন ও কম্পাস| এই দাগগুলি দেখে সে বুঝতে পারে কোথায় তাকে কাটতে হবে| তারপর কাঠ কাটার করাত দিয়ে কাঠ কেটে সে মূর্ত্তি তৈরী করে| তারপর কম্পাসের মত অন্য একটি বিশেষ যন্ত্র ক্য়ালিপার্শ দিয়ে সে মূর্ত্তির মাপ ঠিক করে| এই ভাবে শ্রমিকরা কাঠকে করে তোলে মানুষের মতো দেখতে| এই মানব মূর্ত্তি কিছু করতে পারে না| শুধু ঘরে বসে থাকে|
KJV : The carpenter stretcheth out [his] rule; he marketh it out with a line; he fitteth it with planes, and he marketh it out with the compass, and maketh it after the figure of a man, according to the beauty of a man; that it may remain in the house.

ERVEN : Another worker uses his string line and compass to draw lines on the wood to show where he should cut. Then he uses his chisels and cuts a statue from the wood. He uses his calipers to measure the statue. In this way the worker makes the wood look exactly like a man, and this statue of a man does nothing but sit in the house.

BNV : এক জন লোক এরস, তর্সা অথবা অলোন বৃক্ষ কেটে ফেলে| সেই লোকটি কোন গাছকেই বড় করতে পারে না| গাছগুলি নিজেদের ক্ষমতাতে বনাঞ্চলে বড় হয়| লোকে যদি কোন পাইন গাছ লাগায তবে তা বৃষ্টির জলে বড় হয়|
KJV : He heweth him down cedars, and taketh the cypress and the oak, which he strengtheneth for himself among the trees of the forest: he planteth an ash, and the rain doth nourish [it. ]
YLT : Cutting down to himself cedars, He taketh also a cypress, and an oak, And he strengtheneth [it] for himself Among the trees of a forest, He hath planted an ash, and the shower doth nourish [it].
RV : He heweth him down cedars, and taketh the holm tree and the oak, and strengtheneth for himself one among the trees of the forest: he planteth a fir tree, and the rain doth nourish it.
RSV : He cuts down cedars; or he chooses a holm tree or an oak and lets it grow strong among the trees of the forest; he plants a cedar and the rain nourishes it.
ASV : He heweth him down cedars, and taketh the holm-tree and the oak, and strengtheneth for himself one among the trees of the forest: he planteth a fir-tree, and the rain doth nourish it.
ESV : He cuts down cedars, or he chooses a cypress tree or an oak and lets it grow strong among the trees of the forest. He plants a cedar and the rain nourishes it.
ERVEN : To split the cedar tree, the worker took some oak or cypress {wedges}. To make sure he had plenty of wood, he planted some pines. But it was the rain that made them grow.

BNV : তারপর লোকে সেই গাছকে আগুন জ্বালানোর কাজে ব্যবহার করে| লোকে গাছকে ছোট ছোট কাঠের টুকরোয পরিণত করে| নিজেকে গরম রাখতে ও রান্নার জন্য সে কাঠটি ব্যবহার করে| কিছু কাঠ দিয়ে সে আগুন জ্বালে এবং রুটি সেঁকে| তবুও সে ঐ একই কাঠের কিছু অংশ ব্যবহার করে একটি মূর্ত্তি বানাবার জন্য এবং সে সেই মূর্ত্তিটি পূজো করে| ঐ দেবতাটি মানুষের বানানো একটি মূর্ত্তি, কিন্তু মানুষ তার সামনে নত হয়|
KJV : Then shall it be for a man to burn: for he will take thereof, and warm himself; yea, he kindleth [it,] and baketh bread; yea, he maketh a god, and worshippeth [it;] he maketh it a graven image, and falleth down thereto.
YLT : And it hath been for man to burn, And he taketh of them, and becometh warm, Yea, he kindleth [it], and hath baked bread, Yea, he maketh a god, and boweth himself, He hath made it a graven image, And he falleth down to it.
RV : Then shall it be for a man to burn; and he taketh thereof, and warmeth himself; yea, he kindleth it, and baketh bread: yea, he maketh a god, and worshippeth it; he maketh it a graven image, and falleth down thereto.
RSV : Then it becomes fuel for a man; he takes a part of it and warms himself, he kindles a fire and bakes bread; also he makes a god and worships it, he makes it a graven image and falls down before it.
ASV : Then shall it be for a man to burn; and he taketh thereof, and warmeth himself; yea, he kindleth it, and baketh bread: yea, he maketh a god, and worshippeth it; he maketh it a graven image, and falleth down thereto.
ESV : Then it becomes fuel for a man. He takes a part of it and warms himself; he kindles a fire and bakes bread. Also he makes a god and worships it; he makes it an idol and falls down before it.
ERVEN : When the man wanted a fire, he took some of the wood to keep him warm. He also used some of it to bake his bread. But then he used that same wood to make a statue to worship as a god! That god is only a statue that he made, but he bows down to it!

BNV : অর্ধেক কাঠ লোকে আগুন জ্বালার কাজে ব্যবহার করে| লোকে মাংস রান্না করতে আগুন ব্যবহার করে| তারপর সেটা খায় পেট ভরা পর্য়ন্ত| লোকে নিজেকে গরম রাখতে কাঠ জ্বালায়| লোকে বলে, “ভালো| আমি এখন উষ্ণ| আগুন থেকে আলো আসায আমি দেখতেও পাচ্ছি|”
KJV : He burneth part thereof in the fire; with part thereof he eateth flesh; he roasteth roast, and is satisfied: yea, he warmeth [himself,] and saith, Aha, I am warm, I have seen the fire:
YLT : Half of it he hath burnt in the fire, By [this] half of it he eateth flesh, He roasteth a roasting, and is satisfied, Yea, he is warm, and saith: `Aha, I have become warm, I have enjoyed the light.
RV : He burneth part thereof in the fire; with part thereof he eateth flesh; he roasteth roast, and is satisfied: yea, he warmeth himself, and saith, Aha, I am warm, I have seen the fire:

ESV : Half of it he burns in the fire. Over the half he eats meat; he roasts it and is satisfied. Also he warms himself and says, "Aha, I am warm, I have seen the fire!"
ERVEN : He burns half of the wood in the fire. He uses the fire to cook his meat, and he eats the meat until he is full. He burns the wood to keep himself warm. He says, "Good! Now I am warm, and I can see by the light of the fire."

BNV : কিন্তু অল্প কিছু কাঠ অবশিষ্ট থাকে| তাই লোকে কাঠ দিয়ে মূর্ত্তি বানিয়ে তাকে দেবতা বলে| সে এই মূর্ত্তির সামনে মাথা নত করে এবং তার পূজা করে| লোকে ঐ মূর্ত্তির কাছে প্রার্থনা করতে করতে বলে: “তুমিই আমার দেবতা| আমাকে রক্ষা কর!”
KJV : And the residue thereof he maketh a god, [even] his graven image: he falleth down unto it, and worshippeth [it,] and prayeth unto it, and saith, Deliver me; for thou [art] my god.
YLT : And its remnant for a god he hath made -- For his graven image, He falleth down to it, and worshippeth, And prayeth unto it, and he saith, `Deliver me, for my god thou [art].`
