BNV : “ইফ্রয়িম ইস্রায়েলে নিজেকে খুবই গুরুত্বপূর্ণ করে তুলেছিল| ইফ্রয়িম কথা বলত এবং জনসাধারণ ভয়ে কাঁপত| কিন্তু ইফ্রয়িম পাপ করেছিল, সে বালকে পূজো করতে আরম্ভ করেছিল|
KJV : When Ephraim spake trembling, he exalted himself in Israel; but when he offended in Baal, he died.
YLT : When Ephraim speaketh tremblingly, He hath been lifted up in Israel, When he becometh guilty in Baal he dieth.
RV : When Ephraim spake, there was trembling; he exalted himself in Israel: but when he offended in Baal, he died.
RSV : When Ephraim spoke, men trembled; he was exalted in Israel; but he incurred guilt through Baal and died.

ERVEN : "The tribe of Ephraim made itself very important in Israel. Ephraim spoke and people shook with fear. But Ephraim sinned by worshiping Baal.

BNV : এখন ইস্রায়েল জাতি এমশঃ আরো বেশী পাপ করছে| তাদের নিজেদের জন্য তারা মূর্ত্তি তৈরি করছে| মজুররা রূপো দিয়ে ওই সৌখীন মূর্ত্তিগুলো তৈরি করছে| তারপর ওই লোকরা তাদের মূর্ত্তিগুলির সঙ্গে কথা বলছে| ওই মূর্ত্তিগুলির জন্যে তারা বলি উত্সর্গ করছে| তারা ওই সোনার বাছুরগুলোকে চুমু খাচ্ছে|
KJV : And now they sin more and more, and have made them molten images of their silver, [and] idols according to their own understanding, all of it the work of the craftsmen: they say of them, Let the men that sacrifice kiss the calves.
YLT : And now do they add to sin, And make to them a molten image of their silver, By their own understanding -- idols, A work of artizans -- all of it, Of them they say, who [are] sacrificers among men, `The calves let them kiss.`
RV : And now they sin more and more, and have made them molten images of their silver, even idols according to their own understanding, all of them the work of the craftsmen: they say of them, Let the men that sacrifice kiss the calves.
RSV : And now they sin more and more, and make for themselves molten images, idols skilfully made of their silver, all of them the work of craftsmen. Sacrifice to these, they say. Men kiss calves!
ASV : And now they sin more and more, and have made them molten images of their silver, even idols according to their own understanding, all of them the work of the craftsmen: they say of them, Let the men that sacrifice kiss the calves.
ESV : And now they sin more and more, and make for themselves metal images, idols skillfully made of their silver, all of them the work of craftsmen. It is said of them, "Those who offer human sacrifice kiss calves!"
ERVEN : Now the Israelites sin more and more. They make idols for themselves. Workers make those fancy statues from silver, and then they talk to their statues. They offer sacrifices to them, and they kiss those calf idols.

BNV : সে জন্যেই ওই লোকরা শীঘ্রই অদৃশ্য হয়ে যাবে| তারা হবে ভোরবেলায় আসা কুযাশার মতো| কুযাশা য়েমন আসে এবং তাড়াতাড়ি অদৃশ্য হয়ে যায়| ইস্রায়েল জাতিরা ভূষির মতোই হবে যা মাড়াইয়ের ঘর থেকে উড়ে যায়| ইস্রায়েল জাতি হবে ধোঁযার মত, য়েটা চিমনি থেকে ওঠে এবং অদৃশ্য হয়ে যায়|
KJV : Therefore they shall be as the morning cloud, and as the early dew that passeth away, as the chaff [that] is driven with the whirlwind out of the floor, and as the smoke out of the chimney.
YLT : Therefore they are as a cloud of the morning, And as dew, rising early, going away, As chaff tossed about out of a floor, And as smoke out of a window.
RV : Therefore they shall be as the morning cloud, and as the dew that passeth early away, as the chaff that is driven with the whirlwind out of the threshing-floor, and as the smoke out of the chimney.

ERVEN : That is why those people will soon disappear. They will be like a fog that comes early in the morning and then quickly disappears. The Israelites will be like chaff that is blown from the threshing floor. The Israelites will be like smoke that goes out a window and disappears.

BNV : “যখন থেকে তোমরা মিশরের মাটিতে আছো তখন থেকেই আমি তোমাদের প্রভু ঈশ্বর| তোমরা আমাকে ছাড়া অন্য কোন ঈশ্বরকে চিনতে না| আমি ছাড়া আর কোন ত্রাণকর্তা নেই|
KJV : Yet I [am] the LORD thy God from the land of Egypt, and thou shalt know no god but me: for [there is] no saviour beside me.
YLT : And I [am] Jehovah thy God from the land of Egypt, And a God besides Me thou dost not know, And a Saviour -- there is none save Me.
RV : Yet I am the LORD thy God from the land of Egypt; and thou shalt know no god but me, and beside me there is no saviour.
RSV : I am the LORD your God from the land of Egypt; you know no God but me, and besides me there is no savior.

ERVEN : "I have been the Lord your God since the time you were in the land of Egypt. You did not know any other god except me. I am the one who saved you.

BNV : আমি সেই মরুভূমিতে তোমাদের চিনতাম- আমি সেই সমতল শুকনো মাটির দেশে তোমাদের চিনতাম|
KJV : I did know thee in the wilderness, in the land of great drought.
YLT : I -- I have known thee in a wilderness, In a land of droughts.
RV : I did know thee in the wilderness, in the land of great drought.
RSV : It was I who knew you in the wilderness, in the land of drought;
ASV : I did know thee in the wilderness, in the land of great drought.

BNV : “আমি ইস্রায়েল জাতিকে খাদ্য জুগিয়েছি; তারা সেই খাদ্য খেযেছে| তারা পেট ভরে খেযেছে এবং খুশী হয়েছে| (তারপর) তারা অহঙ্কারী হয়েছে এবং আমাকে ভুলে গেছে!
KJV : According to their pasture, so were they filled; they were filled, and their heart was exalted; therefore have they forgotten me.
YLT : According to their feedings they are satiated, They have been satiated, And their heart is lifted up, Therefore they have forgotten Me,

BNV : “সেজন্য আমি তাদের কাছে সিংহের মতোই হব| আমি চিতাবাঘের মতোই রাস্তায় অপেক্ষা করব|
KJV : Therefore I will be unto them as a lion: as a leopard by the way will I observe [them: ]
YLT : And I am to them as a lion, As a leopard by the way I look out.
RV : Therefore am I unto them as a lion: as a leopard will I watch by the way:
RSV : So I will be to them like a lion, like a leopard I will lurk beside the way.
ASV : Therefore am I unto them as a lion; as a leopard will I watch by the way;

ERVEN : "That is why I will be like a lion to them. I will be like a leopard waiting by the road.

BNV : আমি তাদের ভাল্লুকের মতো আক্রমণ করব যার বাচচাদের কেড়ে নেওয়া হয়েছে| আমি তাদের আক্রমণ করব- তাদের বুকগুলোকে একটানে চিরে ফেলব| আমি সিংহ অথবা বন্য জীব-জন্তুদের মতোই শিকারকে ছিঁড়ে ছিঁড়ে খাব|”
KJV : I will meet them as a bear [that is] bereaved [of her whelps,] and will rend the caul of their heart, and there will I devour them like a lion: the wild beast shall tear them.
YLT : I do meet them as a bereaved bear, And I rend the enclosure of their heart.
RV : I will meet them as a bear that is bereaved of her whelps, and will rend the caul of their heart: and there will I devour them like a lion; the wild beast shall tear them.
RSV : I will fall upon them like a bear robbed of her cubs, I will tear open their breast, and there I will devour them like a lion, as a wild beast would rend them.

ERVEN : I will attack them like a bear whose cubs were robbed from her. I will attack them and rip open their chests. I will be like a lion or other wild animal tearing and eating its prey.

BNV : “ইস্রায়েল, আমি তোমাকে সাহায্য করেছিলাম; কিন্তু তোমরা আমার বিরুদ্ধে গেছো| সেজন্য এখন আমি তোমাদের ধ্বংস করব!
KJV : O Israel, thou hast destroyed thyself; but in me [is] thine help.
YLT : And I consume them there as a lioness, A beast of the field doth rend them.
RV : It is thy destruction, O Israel, that {cf15i thou art} against me, against thy help.
RSV : I will destroy you, O Israel; who can help you?
ASV : It is thy destruction, O Israel, that thou art against me, against thy help.
ESV : He destroys you, O Israel, for you are against me, against your helper.
ERVEN : "Israel, I helped you, but you turned against me. So now I will destroy you.

BNV : তোমাদের রাজা কোথায়? তোমাদের কোন শহরেই সে তোমাদের রক্ষা করতে পারবে না! তোমাদের বিচারকরা কোথায়? তোমরা তাদের খোঁজ করে বলছো, ‘আমাদের একজন রাজা এবং কিছু নেতা দাও|’
KJV : I will be thy king: where [is any other] that may save thee in all thy cities? and thy judges of whom thou saidst, Give me a king and princes?
YLT : Thou hast destroyed thyself, O Israel, But in Me [is] thy help, Where [is] thy king now -- And he doth save thee in all thy cities? And thy judges of whom thou didst say, `Give to me a king and heads?`
RV : Where now is thy king, that he may save thee in all thy cities? and thy judges, of whom thou saidst, Give me a king and princes?
RSV : Where now is your king, to save you; where are all your princes, to defend you -- those of whom you said, "Give me a king and princes"?

ERVEN : Where is your king? Can he save you in any of your cities? Where are your judges? You asked for them, saying, 'Give me a king and leaders.'

BNV : আমি রুদ্ধ হয়েছিলাম এবং আমি তোমাকে একজন রাজা দিয়েছিলাম| তারপর আমি যখন খুবই রুদ্ধ হয়েছিলাম, তখন তাকে নিয়ে গিয়েছিলাম|
KJV : I gave thee a king in mine anger, and took [him] away in my wrath.

BNV : “ইফ্রয়িম তার দোষ লুকোবার চেষ্টা করেছিল| সে ভেবেছিল, তার পাপগুলো গোপন বিষয় কিন্তু সে ওই কাজের জন্য শাস্তি পাবে|
KJV : The iniquity of Ephraim [is] bound up; his sin [is] hid.
YLT : Bound up [is] the iniquity of Ephraim, Hidden [is] his sin,

ERVEN : "Ephraim tried to hide his guilt. He thought his sins were a secret, but he will be punished.

BNV : একজন স্ত্রীলোক প্রসব করার সময় য়ে যন্ত্রণা অনুভব করে, তার শাস্তিও সেই রকম হবে| সে কখনোই জ্ঞানী পুত্র হতে পারবে না| তার জন্মাবার সময় আসবে এবং সে বেঁচে থাকতে পারবে না|
KJV : The sorrows of a travailing woman shall come upon him: he [is] an unwise son; for he should not stay long in [the place of] the breaking forth of children.
YLT : Pangs of a travailing woman come to him, He [is] a son not wise, For he remaineth not the time for the breaking forth of sons.
RV : The sorrows of a travailing woman shall come upon him: he is an unwise son; for it is time he should not tarry in the place of the breaking forth of children.
RSV : The pangs of childbirth come for him, but he is an unwise son; for now he does not present himself at the mouth of the womb.

ERVEN : His punishment will be like the pain of a woman giving birth. He will not be a wise son. The time will come for his birth, and he will not survive.

BNV : “আমি তাদের কবর থেকে রক্ষা করব! আমি তাদের মৃত্যুর হাত থেকে মুক্তি দেব! মৃত্যু, তোমার রোগগুলি কোথায়? কবর, কোথায় তোমার বিনষ্ট করার ক্ষমতা? আমি শোক প্রকাশ করার কোন কারণই দেখি না!
KJV : I will ransom them from the power of the grave; I will redeem them from death: O death, I will be thy plagues; O grave, I will be thy destruction: repentance shall be hid from mine eyes.
YLT : From the hand of Sheol I do ransom them, From death I redeem them, Where [is] thy plague, O death? Where thy destruction, O Sheol? Repentance is hid from Mine eyes.
RV : I will ransom them from the power of the grave; I will redeem them from death: O death, where are thy plagues? O grave, where is thy destruction? repentance shall be hid from mine eyes.

BNV : ইস্রায়েল তার ভাযেদের সঙ্গে বড় হয়েছে| কিন্তু পূর্ব দিক থেকে একটি শক্তিশালী ঝড় আসবে আর মরুভূমির দিক থেকে প্রভুর ঝড় বইবে| তখন ইস্রায়েলের কুযো শুকিয়ে যাবে| তার জলের ঝর্ণাগুলি শুকিয়ে যাবে| ইস্রায়েলের কোষাগার থেকে যা কিছু মূল্য়বান তার সব কিছুই বাতাস উড়িযে নিয়ে যাবে|
KJV : Though he be fruitful among [his] brethren, an east wind shall come, the wind of the LORD shall come up from the wilderness, and his spring shall become dry, and his fountain shall be dried up: he shall spoil the treasure of all pleasant vessels.
YLT : Though he among brethren produceth fruit, Come in doth an east wind, a wind of Jehovah, From a wilderness it is coming up, And it drieth up his fountain, And become dry doth his spring, It -- it spoileth a treasure -- every desirable vessel.
RV : Though he be fruitful among his brethren, an east wind shall come, the breath of the LORD coming up from the wilderness, and his spring shall become dry, and his fountain shall be dried up: he shall spoil the treasure of all pleasant vessels.

ASV : Though he be fruitful among his brethren, an east wind shall come, the breath of Jehovah coming up from the wilderness; and his spring shall become dry, and his fountain shall be dried up: he shall make spoil of the treasure of all goodly vessels.
ESV : Though he may flourish among his brothers, the east wind, the wind of the LORD, shall come, rising from the wilderness, and his fountain shall dry up; his spring shall be parched; it shall strip his treasury of every precious thing.
ERVEN : Israel grows among his brothers, but a powerful east wind will come— the Lord's wind will blow from the desert. Then his well will dry up. His spring of water will be dry. The wind will take away anything of value.

BNV : শমরিয়া অবশ্যই শাস্তি পাবে| কারণ সে তার ঈশ্বরের বিরুদ্ধে গেছে| ইস্রায়েল জাতি তরবারির সাহায্যেই নিহত হবে| তাদের সন্তানদের টুকরো টুকরো করে ছিন্ন করে দেওয়া হবে| তাদের গর্ভবতী মেয়েদের ছিঁড়ে ফেলা হবে|”
KJV : Samaria shall become desolate; for she hath rebelled against her God: they shall fall by the sword: their infants shall be dashed in pieces, and their women with child shall be ripped up.
YLT : Become desolate doth Samaria, Because she hath rebelled against her God, By sword they do fall, Their sucklings are dashed in pieces, And its pregnant ones are ripped up!
RV : Samaria shall bear her guilt; for she hath rebelled against her God: they shall fall by the sword; their infants shall be dashed in pieces, and their women with child shall be ripped up.
