BNV : এসব ঘটনা ঘটার পরে রাজা অগাগীয় হম্মদাথার পুত্র হামন নামে এক ব্যক্তিকে সম্মান জানান| রাজা হামনকে উচ্চপদে উন্নীত করেন এবং তাঁর অন্য সমস্ত আধিকারিকদের থেকে উচ্চতর পদে তাকে নিযুক্ত করেন|
KJV : After these things did king Ahasuerus promote Haman the son of Hammedatha the Agagite, and advanced him, and set his seat above all the princes that [were] with him.
YLT : After these things hath the king Ahasuerus exalted Haman son of Hammedatha the Agagite, and lifteth him up, and setteth his throne above all the heads who [are] with him,

BNV : রাজা নির্দেশ দিয়েছিলেন য়ে মুখ্যদ্বার দিয়ে ঢোকবার সময় প্রত্যেক ব্যক্তিকে মাথা ঝুঁকিয়ে হামনকে সম্মান জানাতে হবে| তাই রাজার সব নেতারা রাজদ্বারে হামনের কাছে প্রণত হয়ে তাঁকে সম্মান জানাতেন, কিন্তু শুধুমাত্র মর্দখয় তা করতে রাজী হলেন না|
KJV : And all the king’s servants, that [were] in the king’s gate, bowed, and reverenced Haman: for the king had so commanded concerning him. But Mordecai bowed not, nor did [him] reverence.
YLT : and all servants of the king, who [are] in the gate of the king, are bowing and doing obeisance to Haman, for so hath the king commanded for him; and Mordecai doth not bow nor do obeisance.

ERVEN : All of the king's leaders at the king's gate would bow down and give honor to Haman. This is what the king commanded them to do. But Mordecai refused to bow down or give honor to Haman.

BNV : তখন অন্যান্য প্রধানরা তাঁকে প্রশ্ন করলেন, “আপনি কেন রাজার নির্দেশ মেনে হামনকে সম্মান দেখান না?”
KJV : Then the king’s servants, which [were] in the king’s gate, said unto Mordecai, Why transgressest thou the king’s commandment?

ERVEN : Then the king's leaders at the gate asked Mordecai, "Why don't you obey the king's command to bow down to Haman?"

BNV : সমস্ত প্রধানরা এবিষয়ে দিনের পর দিন মর্দখয়কে বলা সত্ত্বেও মর্দখয় হামনের সামনে কোন মতেই মাথা নীচু করতে রাজী হলেন না| তখন হামন কি করে তা দেখার জন্য এই সমস্ত নেতারা হামনকে একথা জানালেন| মর্দখয় এই আধিকারিকদের বলেছিলেন য়ে তিনি ইহুদী|
KJV : Now it came to pass, when they spake daily unto him, and he hearkened not unto them, that they told Haman, to see whether Mordecai’s matters would stand: for he had told them that he [was] a Jew.
YLT : And it cometh to pass, in their speaking unto him, day by day, and he hath not hearkened unto them, that they declare [it] to Haman, to see whether the words of Mordecai do stand, for he hath declared to them that he [is] a Jew.

ERVEN : Day after day, the king's leaders spoke to Mordecai, but he refused to obey the command to bow down to Haman. So they told Haman about it. They wanted to see what Haman would do about Mordecai. Mordecai had told them that he was a Jew.

BNV : হামন যখন দেখলেন সত্যি সত্যিই মর্দখয় তাকে সম্মান দেখাতে অনিচ্ছুক তখন তিনি খুবই রুদ্ধ হলেন|
KJV : And when Haman saw that Mordecai bowed not, nor did him reverence, then was Haman full of wrath.

BNV : মর্দখয় য়ে ইহুদী হামন সে কথাও জেনেছিলেন| হামনের ইচ্ছা ছিল শুধু মর্দখয় নয়, রাজা অহশ্বেরশের রাজ্যে বসবাসকারী মর্দখযের জাতির সবাইকে হত্যা করা হোক|
KJV : And he thought scorn to lay hands on Mordecai alone; for they had shewed him the people of Mordecai: wherefore Haman sought to destroy all the Jews that [were] throughout the whole kingdom of Ahasuerus, [even] the people of Mordecai.

ERVEN : Haman had learned that Mordecai was a Jew. But he was not satisfied to only kill Mordecai. He also wanted to find a way to destroy all of Mordecai's people, the Jews, in all of Xerxes' kingdom.

BNV : অহশ্বেরশের রাজত্বের দ্বাদশ বছরের প্রথম মাসে, নীষণ মাসে হামন অক্ষ নিক্ষেপ করে একটি মাসের একটি বিশেষ দিন বেছে নিলেন| সেই দিনটি ছিল দ্বাদশতম মাস, অদর মাস| (সে সময় অক্ষকে “পূরও” বলা হোত|)
KJV : In the first month, that [is,] the month Nisan, in the twelfth year of king Ahasuerus, they cast Pur, that [is,] the lot, before Haman from day to day, and from month to month, [to] the twelfth [month,] that [is,] the month Adar.
YLT : In the first month -- it [is] the month of Nisan -- in the twelfth year of the king Ahasuerus, hath one caused to fall Pur (that [is] the lot) before Haman, from day to day, and from month to month, [to] the twelfth, it [is] the month of Adar.

BNV : তারপর রাজা অহশ্বেরশের কাছে এসে হামন বললেন, “হে রাজন, আপনার রাজ্যের সর্বত্র এক বিশেষ জাতির মানুষরা বাস করছে, যাদের সংস্কৃতি অন্যদের থেকে আলাদা| তারা অন্য কোন জাতির লোকদের সঙ্গে মেলামেশা করে না, এমন কি আপনার বিধিও মেনে চলে না| এই সমস্ত লোকদের আপনার রাজ্যে বসবাস করতে দেওয়া উচিত্‌ বলে আমি মনে করি না|
KJV : And Haman said unto king Ahasuerus, There is a certain people scattered abroad and dispersed among the people in all the provinces of thy kingdom; and their laws [are] diverse from all people; neither keep they the king’s laws: therefore it [is] not for the king’s profit to suffer them.
YLT : And Haman saith to the king Ahasuerus, `There is one people scattered and separated among the peoples, in all provinces of thy kingdom, and their laws [are] diverse from all people, and the laws of the king they are not doing, and for the king it is not profitable to suffer them;

ERVEN : Then Haman came to King Xerxes and said, "King Xerxes, there is a certain group of people scattered among the people in all the provinces of your kingdom. They keep themselves separate from other people. Their customs are different from those of all other people. And they don't obey the king's laws. It is not right for the king to allow them to continue to live in your kingdom.

BNV : “রাজার প্রতি আমার বিনীত নিবেদেন: আমার পরামর্শ হল, এই সব লোকদের শেষ করে দেওয়ার জন্য আপনি নির্দেশ দিন| আর আমি রাজ কোষাগারে 10,000 রৌপ্যমুদ্রা জমা দেবো|”
KJV : If it please the king, let it be written that they may be destroyed: and I will pay ten thousand talents of silver to the hands of those that have the charge of the business, to bring [it] into the king’s treasuries.
YLT : if to the king [it be] good, let it be written to destroy them, and ten thousand talents of silver I weigh into the hands of those doing the work, to bring [it] in unto the treasuries of the king.`
RV : If it please the king, let it be written that they be destroyed: and I will pay ten thousand talents of silver into the hands of those that have the charge of the {cf15i king-s} business, to bring it into the king-s treasuries.

ERVEN : Then on the 13 day of the first month the king's secretaries were called. They wrote out all of Haman's commands in the language of each province. And they wrote them in the language of each group of people. They wrote to the king's satraps, the governors of the different provinces, and the leaders of the different groups of people. They wrote with the authority of King Xerxes himself, and sealed the commands with the king's own ring.

ERVEN : Messengers carried the letters to all the king's provinces. The letters were the king's command to ruin, kill, and completely destroy all the Jews. This meant young people and old people, women, and little children too. The command was to kill all the Jews on a single day. The day was to be the 13 day of the twelfth month, the month of Adar. And the command was to take everything that belonged to the Jews.

YLT : The runners have gone forth, hastened by the word of the king, and the law hath been given in Shushan the palace, and the king and Haman have sat down to drink, and the city Shushan is perplexed.
