BNV : এদিকে শৌল জেরুশালেমে যীশুর অনুগামীদের তখনও হত্যার হুমকি দিচ্ছিলেন৷ তিনি মহাযাজকের কাছে গেলেন৷

BNV : দম্মেশকস্থ সমাজ-গৃহে ইহুদীদের দেবার জন্য মহাযাজকের কাছে চিঠিগুলি চাইলেন, য়েন স্ত্রী হোক বা পুরুষ হোক, খ্রীষ্টের অনুগামী এমন কোন লোককে পেলেই গ্রেপ্তার করে জেরুশালেমে নিয়ে আসতে পারেন৷
KJV : And desired of him letters to Damascus to the synagogues, that if he found any of this way, whether they were men or women, he might bring them bound unto Jerusalem.
YLT : did ask from him letters to Damascus, unto the synagogues, that if he may find any being of the way, both men and women, he may bring them bound to Jerusalem.

ERVEN : and asked him to write letters to the synagogues in the city of Damascus. Saul wanted the high priest to give him the authority to find people in Damascus who were followers of the Way. If he found any believers there, men or women, he would arrest them and bring them back to Jerusalem.

BNV : তাই শৌল দম্মেশকে রওনা হয়ে গেলেন৷ য়েতে য়েতে তিনি যখন দম্মেশকের কাছাকাছি এলেন, সেই সময় হঠাত্ আকাশ থেকে এক উজ্জ্বল আলো তাঁর চারিদিকে চমকে উঠল৷
KJV : And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven:

BNV : তিনি মাটিতে পড়ে গেলেন এবং এক রব শুনতে পেলেন, সেই রব তাঁকে বলছে; ‘শৌল, শৌল! কেন তুমি আমাকে এত কষ্ট দিচ্ছ?’
KJV : And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, {SCJ}Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? {SCJ.}
YLT : and having fallen upon the earth, he heard a voice saying to him, `Saul, Saul, why me dost thou persecute?`

BNV : শৌল বললেন, ‘প্রভু আপনি কে?’তিনি বললেন, ‘আমি যীশু; তুমি যার ক্ষতি করার চেষ্টা করছ৷
KJV : And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, {SCJ}I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: [it is] hard for thee to kick against the pricks. {SCJ.}
YLT : And he said, `Who art thou, Lord?` and the Lord said, `I am Jesus whom thou dost persecute; hard for thee at the pricks to kick;`
RV : And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And he {cf15i said}, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest:

ERVEN : Saul said, "Who are you, Lord?" The voice answered, "I am Jesus, the one you are persecuting.

BNV : ওঠ, ঐ শহরে যাও আর তোমায় কি করতে হবে তা তোমায় বলা হবে৷’
KJV : And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do? And the Lord [said] unto him, {SCJ}Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do. {SCJ.}
YLT : trembling also, and astonished, he said, `Lord, what dost thou wish me to do?` and the Lord [said] unto him, `Arise, and enter into the city, and it shall be told thee what it behoveth thee to do.`
RV : but rise, and enter into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do.

BNV : য়ে সব পুরুষ তাঁর সঙ্গে যাচ্ছিল তারা নির্বাক হয়ে দাঁড়িয়ে রইল৷ তারা সেই রব শুনতে পেল, কিন্তু কাউকে দেখতে পেল না৷
KJV : And the men which journeyed with him stood speechless, hearing a voice, but seeing no man.

BNV : শৌল মাটি থেকে উঠলেন, কিন্তু তিনি যখন চোখ খুললেন তখন কিছুই দেখতে পেলেন না৷ তাই তারা তাকে হাত ধরে দম্মেশকে নিয়ে গেল৷
KJV : And Saul arose from the earth; and when his eyes were opened, he saw no man: but they led him by the hand, and brought [him] into Damascus.

BNV : তিন দিন তিনি সম্পূর্ণ অন্ধ অবস্থায় রইলেন, সেই সময় তিনি অন্ন জল কিছুই মুখে তুললেন না৷
KJV : And he was three days without sight, and neither did eat nor drink.

BNV : দম্মেশকে অননিয় নামে একজন খ্রীষ্টের অনুগামী ছিলেন৷ এক দর্শনের মাধ্যমে প্রভু তাঁকে বললেন, ‘অননিয়!’তিনি বললেন, ‘প্রভু, এই তো আমি৷’
KJV : And there was a certain disciple at Damascus, named Ananias; and to him said the Lord in a vision, {SCJ}Ananias.{SCJ.} And he said, Behold, I [am here,] Lord.

BNV : প্রভু তাকে বললেন, ‘ওঠ, আর ‘সরল’ নামে রাস্তায় যাও৷ সেখানে যিহূদার বাড়ীর খোঁজ কর৷ সেখানে তার্ষ থেকে এসেছে শৌল বলে একজন লোক, তার খোঁজ কর, কারণ সে প্রার্থনা করছে৷
KJV : And the Lord [said] unto him, {SCJ}Arise, and go into the street which is called Straight, and enquire in the house of Judas for [one] called Saul, of Tarsus: for, behold, he prayeth, {SCJ.}

BNV : তার এই দর্শনলাভ হয়েছে য়ে অননিয় নামে একজন লোক এসে তার ওপর হাত রাখাতে সে আবার তার দৃষ্টিশক্তি ফিরে পেয়েছে৷’
KJV : {SCJ}And hath seen in a vision a man named Ananias coming in, and putting [his] hand on him, that he might receive his sight. {SCJ.}

BNV : অননিয় বললেন, ‘প্রভু, আমি অনেক লোকের কাছে এই লোকের বিষয়ে শুনেছি৷
KJV : Then Ananias answered, Lord, I have heard by many of this man, how much evil he hath done to thy saints at Jerusalem:
YLT : And Ananias answered, `Lord, I have heard from many about this man, how many evils he did to Thy saints in Jerusalem,

BNV : আর এখানে যত লোক আপনাকে বিশ্বাস করে,তাদের গ্রেপ্তার করে নিয়ে যাবার জন্য সে প্রধান যাজকদের কাছ থেকে বিশেষ পরোয়ানা নিয়ে এসেছে৷’
KJV : And here he hath authority from the chief priests to bind all that call on thy name.
YLT : and here he hath authority from the chief priests, to bind all those calling on Thy name.`

BNV : কিন্তু প্রভু তাকে বললেন, ‘তুমি যাও, কারণ অইহুদীদের কাছে, রাজাদের ও ইস্রায়েলীয়দের কাছে আমার নাম নিয়ে যাবার জন্য আমি তাকে মনোনীত করেছি৷
KJV : But the Lord said unto him, {SCJ}Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel: {SCJ.}
YLT : And the Lord said unto him, `Be going on, because a choice vessel to Me is this one, to bear My name before nations and kings -- the sons also of Israel;

BNV : আমার নামের জন্য তাকে কত দুঃখভোগ করতে হবে, আমি নিজে তাকে তা দেখিয়ে দেব৷’

BNV : তখন অননিয় যিহূদার বাড়িতে গেলেন৷ তিনি শৌলের ওপর দুহাত রেখে বললেন, ‘ভাই শৌল, প্রভু যীশু আমাকে তোমার কাছে পাঠিয়েছেন৷ এখানে আসার পথে তোমায় তিনি দর্শন দিয়েছিলেন৷ যীশু তোমার কাছে আমাকে পাঠালেন, য়েন তুমি আবার দেখতে পাও আর পবিত্র আত্মায় পূর্ণ হতে পার৷’
KJV : And Ananias went his way, and entered into the house; and putting his hands on him said, Brother Saul, the Lord, [even] Jesus, that appeared unto thee in the way as thou camest, hath sent me, that thou mightest receive thy sight, and be filled with the Holy Ghost.
YLT : And Ananias went away, and did enter into the house, and having put upon him [his] hands, said, `Saul, brother, the Lord hath sent me -- Jesus who did appear to thee in the way in which thou wast coming -- that thou mayest see again, and mayest be filled with the Holy Spirit.`

ERVEN : So Ananias left and went to the house of Judas. He laid his hands on Saul and said, "Saul, my brother, the Lord Jesus sent me. He is the one you saw on the road when you came here. He sent me so that you can see again and also be filled with the Holy Spirit. "

BNV : সঙ্গে সঙ্গে তাঁর চোখ থেকে মাছের আঁশের মত একটা কিছু খসে পড়ল, আর শৌল আবার দেখতে পেলেন৷ পরে তিনি উঠে গিয়ে বাপ্তিস্ম নিলেন৷
KJV : And immediately there fell from his eyes as it had been scales: and he received sight forthwith, and arose, and was baptized.
YLT : And immediately there fell from his eyes as it were scales, he saw again also presently, and having risen, was baptized,

BNV : এরপর কিছু খাওয়া-দাওয়া করে সবল হলেন৷তিনি কিছুদিন দম্মেশেকে অনুগামীদের সঙ্গে থাকলেন৷
KJV : And when he had received meat, he was strengthened. Then was Saul certain days with the disciples which were at Damascus.
YLT : and having received nourishment, was strengthened, and Saul was with the disciples in Damascus certain days,

BNV : এরপর তিনি সরাসরি সমাজ-গৃহে গিয়ে যীশুর কথা প্রচার করতে লাগলেন৷ তিনি বললেন, ‘এই যীশুই হচ্ছেন ঈশ্বরের পুত্র৷’
KJV : And straightway he preached Christ in the synagogues, that he is the Son of God.
YLT : and immediately in the synagogues he was preaching the Christ, that he is the Son of God.
RV : And straightway in the synagogues he proclaimed Jesus, that he is the Son of God.

ERVEN : Soon he began to go to the synagogues and tell people about Jesus. He told the people, "Jesus is the Son of God!"

BNV : তার কথা শুনে সকলে আশ্চর্য হয়ে গেল৷ তারা বলল, ‘একি., সেই লোক নয় য়ে জেরুশালেমে যাঁরা যীশুর নামে বিশ্বাস করত তাদের ধ্বংস করত? আর এখানে সে যীশুর অনুগামীদের গ্রেপ্তার করে প্রধান যাজকের কাছে নিয়ে যাবার জন্য কি আসে নি?’
KJV : But all that heard [him] were amazed, and said; Is not this he that destroyed them which called on this name in Jerusalem, and came hither for that intent, that he might bring them bound unto the chief priests?
YLT : And all those hearing were amazed, and said, `Is not this he who laid waist in Jerusalem those calling on this name, and hither to this intent had come, that he might bring them bound to the chief priests?`
RV : And all that heard him were amazed, and said, Is not this he that in Jerusalem made havock of them which called on this name? and he had come hither for this intent, that he might bring them bound before the chief priests.
RSV : And all who heard him were amazed, and said, "Is not this the man who made havoc in Jerusalem of those who called on this name? And he has come here for this purpose, to bring them bound before the chief priests."
ASV : And all that heard him were amazed, and said, Is not this he that in Jerusalem made havoc of them that called on this name? and he had come hither for this intent, that he might bring them bound before the chief priests.
ESV : And all who heard him were amazed and said, "Is not this the man who made havoc in Jerusalem of those who called upon this name? And has he not come here for this purpose, to bring them bound before the chief priests?"
ERVEN : All the people who heard Saul were amazed. They said, "This is the same man who was in Jerusalem trying to destroy the people who trust in Jesus! And that's why he has come here—to arrest the followers of Jesus and take them back to the leading priests."

BNV : কিন্তু শৌল ক্রমাগত শক্তিশালী হয়ে উঠলেন, আর দম্মেশকে য়ে সব ইহুদী বাস করত, শৌল তর্কে তাদেরকে নীরব করে দিলেন, তিনি প্রমাণ দিতে থাকলেন য়ে যীশুই খ্রীষ্ট৷
KJV : But Saul increased the more in strength, and confounded the Jews which dwelt at Damascus, proving that this is very Christ.
YLT : And Saul was still more strengthened, and he was confounding the Jews dwelling in Damascus, proving that this is the Christ.

BNV : বেশ কিছু দিন পর ইহুদীরা শৌলকে হত্যা করার চক্রান্ত করতে লাগল৷
KJV : And after that many days were fulfilled, the Jews took counsel to kill him:
