ಕರ್ತನೇ, ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ವಾದಿಸುವಾಗ ನೀನು ನೀತಿವಂತನೇ ಆಗಿದ್ದೀ; ಆದಾಗ್ಯೂ ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ನ್ಯಾಯವಾದವುಗಳನು ಕುರಿತು ಮಾತನಾಡಲು ಬಿಡು; ದುಷ್ಟರ ಮಾರ್ಗವು ಸಫಲವಾಗುವದು ಯಾಕೆ? ಮಹಾವಂಚನೆ ಮಾಡು ವವರೆಲ್ಲರು ಯಾಕೆ ಸುಖವಾಗಿರುವರು.

Righteous [art] thou, O LORD, when I plead with thee: yet let me talk with thee of [thy] judgments: Wherefore doth the way of the wicked prosper? [wherefore] are all they happy that deal very treacherously?
