ਕੋਈ ਦਿਲ ਤੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਲਿਆਉਂਦਾ, ਨਾ ਗਿਆਨ ਨਾ ਸਮਝ ਹੈ, ਭਈ ਉਹ ਆਖੇ, ਉਸ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਮੈਂ ਅੱਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਾਲ ਲਿਆ, ਹਾਂ, ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਕੋਲਿਆਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਰੋਟੀ ਪਕਾਈ, ਮੈਂ ਮਾਸ ਭੁੰਨ ਕੇ ਖਾਧਾ, ਭਲਾ, ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਬਕੀਏ ਤੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਘਿਣਾਉਣੀ ਚੀਜ਼ ਬਣਾਵਾਂ! ਕੀ ਮੈਂ ਲੱਕੜ ਦੇ ਟੁੰਡ ਅੱਗੇ ਮੱਥਾ ਰਗੜਾਂ?

And none considereth in his heart, neither [is there] knowledge nor understanding to say, I have burned part of it in the fire; yea, also I have baked bread upon the coals thereof; I have roasted flesh, and eaten [it:] and shall I make the residue thereof an abomination? shall I fall down to the stock of a tree?

And none doth turn [it] back unto his heart, Nor hath knowledge nor understanding to say, `Half of it I have burned in the fire, Yea, also, I have baked bread over its coals, I roast flesh and I eat, And its remnant for an abomination I make, To the stock of a tree I fall down.`

They don't realize what they are doing. They aren't smart enough to think, "I burned half of the wood in the fire. I used the hot coals to bake my bread and cook the meat I ate. And I used the wood that was left to make this terrible thing. I am worshiping a block of wood!"
