প্রভু আমার সদাপ্রভু বলেন, “জেরুশালেম, আমার প্রাণের দিব্য দিয়ে বলছি যে আমি তোমায় শাস্তি দেব! আমি প্রতিজ্ঞা করছি যে তোমায় শাস্তি দেব! কেন? কারণ তুমি আমার পবিত্র স্থানের প্রতি ভয়ঙ্কর কাজ করেছ| তুমি এমন ভয়ঙ্কর কাজ করেছ যাতে তা ময়লা হয়ে গেছে! আমি তোমায় শাস্তি দেব, দয়া করব না| দুঃখ বোধ করব না!

Wherefore, [as] I live, saith the Lord GOD; Surely, because thou hast defiled my sanctuary with all thy detestable things, and with all thine abominations, therefore will I also diminish [thee;] neither shall mine eye spare, neither will I have any pity.
