అయితే వారు బబులోనురాజు దేశముమీద అధికారినిగా నియమించిన అహీకాము కుమారుడైన గెదల్యాను నెతన్యా కుమారుడైన ఇష్మా యేలు చంపినందున వారు కల్దీయులకు భయపడి ఐగుప్తునకు వెళ్లుదమనుకొని బేత్లెహేముదగ్గరనున్న గెరూతు కింహాములో దిగిరి.

ಬಾಬೆಲಿನ ಅರಸನು ದೇಶದ ಮೇಲೆ ನೇಮಿಸಿದ್ದ ಅಹೀಕಾಮನ ಮಗನಾದ ಗೆದಲ್ಯನನ್ನು ನೆತನ್ಯನ ಮಗನಾದ ಇಷ್ಮಾಯೇಲನು ಕೊಂದುಹಾಕಿದ್ದ ರಿಂದಲೇ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಭಯಪಟ್ಟರು.

ਇਹ ਕਸਦੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਸੀ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਓਹ ਓਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੋਂ ਡਰਦੇ ਸਨ ਏਸ ਲਈ ਕਿ ਨਥਨਯਾਹ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤ੍ਰ ਇਸ਼ਮਾਏਲ ਨੇ ਅਹੀਕਾਮ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤ੍ਰ ਗਦਲਯਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਸੁੱਟਿਆ ਸੀ ਜਿਹ ਨੂੰ ਬਾਬਲ ਦੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਨੇ ਦੇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਾਕਮ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਸੀ।।

کیونکہ وہ کسدیوں سے ڈرے اِسلئے کہ اِسمٰعیل بن نتنیاہؔ نے جدلیاہؔ بن اخیقام ؔ کو جسے شاہِ بابلؔ نے اس ملک پر حاکم مُقرر کیا تھا قتل کر ڈالا۔
