ಬಳಿಕ ಯೆಹೋಶುವನು ಅವರನ್ನು ಅವರು ಅಡಗಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕಾದ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದನು. ಅವರು “ಬೇತೇಲ್” ಮತ್ತು “ಆಯಿ”ಯ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಒಂದು ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋದರು. ಇದು ಆಯಿಯ ಪಶ್ಚಿಮಕ್ಕಿತ್ತು. ಯೆಹೋಶುವನು ತನ್ನ ಜನರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಆ ರಾತ್ರಿ ಅಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಇದ್ದನು.
