યહોશુઆએ તે દિવસે માંક્કેદાહ કબજે કર્યું. અને તેના લોકોને તથા રાજાને મોતને ઘાટ ઉતાર્યા. નગરના બધા માંણસોનો તેણે સંહાર કર્યો. તેણે યરીખોના રાજાના જે હાલ કર્યા હતા તે જ હાલ માંક્કેદાહના રાજાના પણ કર્યા.

ਯਹੋਸ਼ੁਆ ਨੇ ਉੱਸੇ ਦਿਨ ਮੱਕੇਦਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਅਰ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਨੂੰ ਤੇਗ ਦੀ ਧਾਰ ਨਾਲ ਵੱਢ ਸੁੱਟਿਆ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਓਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਸੱਤਿਆ ਨਾਸ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਬਾਕੀ ਨਾ ਛੱਡਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਮੱਕੇਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਨਾਲ ਤਿਵੇਂ ਹੀ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਯਰੀਹੋ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਨਾਲ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ।।
