അങ്ങനെ യിരെമ്യാവു മറ്റൊരു ചുരുൾ എടുത്തു നേർയ്യാവിന്റെ മകൻ ബാരൂൿ എന്ന എഴുത്തുകാരന്റെ കയ്യിൽ കൊടുത്തു; അവൻ യെഹൂദാരാജാവായ യെഹോയാക്കീം തീയിൽ ഇട്ടു ചുട്ടുകളഞ്ഞ പുസ്തകത്തിലെ വചനങ്ങളൊക്കെയും യിരെമ്യാവിന്റെ വാമൊഴിപ്രകാരം അതിൽ എഴുതി; അതുപോലെയുള്ള ഏറിയ വചനങ്ങളും ചേർത്തെഴുതുവാൻ സംഗതിവന്നു.

Then took Jeremiah another roll, and gave it to Baruch the scribe, the son of Neriah; who wrote therein from the mouth of Jeremiah all the words of the book which Jehoiakim king of Judah had burned in the fire: and there were added besides unto them many like words.
