So Asa took gold and silver from the treasuries of the Lord's Temple and the king's palace. He gave it to his officials and sent them to King Ben-Hadad of Aram. Ben- Hadad was the son of Tabrimmon. Tabrimmon was the son of Hezion. Damascus was Ben-Hadad's capital city.

கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்தில் கருவூலத்தில் இருந்த பொன்னையும் வெள்ளியையும் ஆசா வெளியே எடுத்தான். அரண்மனை கருவூலத்தில் உள்ள பொன்னையும் வெள்ளியையும் ஆசா எடுத்தான். பிறகு அவன் பென்னாதாத்துக்கு தூது அனுப்பினான். பென்னாதாத் ஆராம் நாட்டு அரசன். அவன் தமஸ்கு நகரத்தில் இருந்தான். ஆசாவின் செய்தி இது:

ఆలయం ఖజానాలో వున్న వెండి, బంగారు నిల్వలను ఆసా తీశాడు. రాజగృహంలో వున్న వెండి, బంగారాలను కూడా అతడు తీశాడు. తరువాత ఆసా తన దూతలను బెన్హదదు వద్దకు పంపాడు. బెన్హదదు అరాము (సిరియా) రాజు. అతడు దమస్కు (డెమాస్కస్) పట్టణంలో నివసిస్తున్నాడు. ఆసా పంపిన వర్తమానం యీలా వుంది.

ಆಗ ಆಸನು ದೇವಾಲಯದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಅರಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಶೇಖರಿಸಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಬಂಗಾರಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಒಟ್ಟಾಗಿ ಸೇರಿಸಿ ದಮಸ್ಕದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಅರಾಮ್ಯರ ಅರಸನಾದ ಬೆನ್ಹದದನಿಗೆ ಈ ಸಂದೇಶದೊಡನೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದನು,

ଆସା ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ମନ୍ଦିରର କୋଷାଗାରରୁ ରୂପା ଓ ସୁନାସବୁ ଆଣିଲେ। ଆଉ ସେ ରାଜାଙ୍କର ଗୃହ ମଧିଅରେ ଥିବା ରୂପା ଓ ସୁନାସବୁ ଆଣିଲେ। ଏହାପରେ ଆସା ବିନ୍ହଦଦ୍ ନିକଟକୁ ବାର୍ତ୍ତାବାହକମାନଙ୍କୁ ପଠାଇଲେ। ବିନ୍ହଦଦ୍ ଅରାମ୍ର ରାଜା ଥିଲେ ଓ ସେ ଦମ୍ମେଶକ ସହର ରେ ବାସ କରୁଥିଲେ। ଆସାଙ୍କ ବାର୍ତ୍ତା ଥିଲା :
