ರಾಜನ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನು, “ನಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವರು ನಗರದಲ್ಲಿ ಉಳಿದಿರುವ ಐದು ಕುದುರೆಗಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳೋಣ. ನಗರದಲ್ಲಿ ಉಳಿದಿರುವ ಇಸ್ರೇಲಿನ ಜನರಂತೆ ಹೇಗಾದರೂ ಈ ಕುದುರೆಗಳೂ ಬಹುಬೇಗ ಸತ್ತುಹೋಗುತ್ತವೆ. ಈ ಜನರನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಏನು ನಡೆದಿದೆಯೆಂಬುದನ್ನು ನಾವು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳೋಣ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
