ಇಸ್ರೇಲಿನ ರಾಜನು ಅರಾಮ್ಯರ ಸೇನೆಗೆ ಆಹಾರವನ್ನು ಹೇರಳವಾಗಿ ಸಿದ್ಧಪಡಿಸಿದನು. ಅರಾಮ್ಯರ ಸೇನೆಯು ಊಟಮಾಡಿ, ನೀರನ್ನು ಕುಡಿದರು. ನಂತರ ಇಸ್ರೇಲಿನ ರಾಜನು ಅರಾಮ್ಯರ ಸೇನೆಗೆ ತಮ್ಮ ಒಡೆಯನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಲು ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದನು. ಅಂದಿನಿಂದ ಇಸ್ರೇಲ್ ದೇಶದ ಮೇಲೆ ಧಾಳಿಮಾಡಲು ಯಾವ ಸೈನಿಕರನ್ನೂ ಅರಾಮ್ಯರು ಕಳುಹಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ.
