பிறகு அரசன் கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்திற்குச் சென்றான். யூத ஜனங்களும் எருசலேமிலுள்ள ஜனங்களும் அவனோடு சென்றனர். ஆசாரியர்களும் தீர்க்கதரிசிகளும் ஜனங்களுள் முக்கியமானவர்களும் முக்கியம் இல்லாதவர்களும் அவனோடு சென்றனர். பிறகு அரசன் உடன்படிக்கைப் புத்தகத்தை வாசித்துக்காட்டினான். இந்த சட்டப்புத்தகம் கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்தில் கண்டெடுக்கப்பட்டது. அரசன் அதனை வாசித்தபோது ஜனங்களால் அதனைக் கேட்க முடிந்தது.

ನಂತರ ರಾಜನು ದೇವಾಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋದನು. ಯೆಹೂದದ ಜನರೆಲ್ಲರು ಮತ್ತು ಜೆರುಸಲೇಮಿನಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಜನರೆಲ್ಲರು ಅವನ ಜೊತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹೋದರು. ಯಾಜಕರು, ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗಳು, ಚಿಕ್ಕವರು ಮತ್ತು ದೊಡ್ಡವರು ಅವನೊಡನೆ ಹೋದರು. ಆಗ ಅವನು ನಿಬಂಧನ ಗ್ರಂಥವನ್ನು ಓದಿದನು. ಇದು ದೇವಾಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿದ ಗ್ರಂಥವಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಜನರೆಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಕೇಳಿಸುವಂತೆ ಯೋಷೀಯನು ಗ್ರಂಥವನ್ನು ಓದಿದನು.

मग राजा परमेश्वराच्या मंदिरात गेला. त्याच्या मागोमाग यहूदा आणि यरुशलेम येथे राहणारे लोकही गेले. अगदी सामान्य माणसापासून याजक, संदेष्टे यांच्यासारख्या महत्वाच्या वयक्तीपर्यंत झाडून सर्वजण राजाच्या बरोबर गेले. मग राजाने परमेश्वराच्या मंदिरात सापडलेले कराराचे पुस्तक काढून त्यातील सर्व वचने सगळ्यांना ऐकू जातील अशी वाचली.
